The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

A truly special experience. The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The hotel and grounds are stunning and rooms have an understated elegance and charm. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough for a relaxing holiday with the options of activities or the spa, should you wish.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at, full stop. We had originally planned to stay for 5 nights, but on the last day, we could not bring ourselves to leave, and so extended our stay. Firstly, the staff are amazing, and Ed and Carol really make you feel very welcome, and are always up for a chat, and to give tips around travelling into Marrakesh and the other activities, which were invaluable to us, and made our stay that much more special. The bar staff are also very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble - they even went out to buy me things I could not get onsite. The food is also very, very good. For breakfast, you are served a delicious pancake, and your choice of eggs, which were very tasty. Lunch has everything you would want from a lunch service, with a wide range of food, from a delicious club sandwich to burgers and steak, and lovely salads. Dinner is a 3 course menu which changes every night - the fish dish was always amazing, as well as traditional Moroccan Food. The facilities are also good, with 2 pools, one heated, and one not. There is a small gym, but it has everything you could need for an effective workout. Don't expect any big weights, but there is a pull-up and dip station, dumbells up to 7.5kg, a boxing bag and cardio equipment. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and we will for sure be returning!

Beautiful hotel. Stunning grounds and pools with views of the Atlas Mountains. Very peaceful and design gives much privacy. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent food with a 3 course menu which changes daily. Hotel can arrange guided walks and trips to Marrakesh. Couldn’t fault it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and thoughtfully decorated and the gardens are lovely and peaceful. We were lucky enough to have good weather and could see the mountains from our room. We really enjoyed the meals which were excellent and the staff could not have done more to cater for our dietary requirements. I would definitely recommend taking a driver out for a day in the mountains which the hotel can organise for you. If you want to relax away from Marrakech in gorgeous grounds, eat delicious food and have a view, then this is a perfect hotel. Not suitable for younger children.

A true oasis for relaxation and convenience for activities in the Atlas mountains. Chilled but attentive, friendly, comfortable, great views, great food, great facilities. Went with family including children of 22 and 25, amazingly we agreed that we'd all really enjoyed the stay. Definitely going back.

There have been some mixed reviews about the Capaldi Hotel, and I must admit to being a tad apprehensive before arrival. Sitting here and writing this review on the day before we leave, I am seriously scratching my head as to what others have to moan about! I can only put it down to people not doing their research about what and where this hotel is... My only regreat, is I wish we were staying longer. After the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. This place is just perfect for us! It has exceeded my expectations in every way. The gorgeous gardens (a round of applause for the gardening team 👏 who keep it immaculate) The food is fantastic, the staff are welcoming, hard working and so polite. Places to sit are multiple, it feels like you have the whole place to yourselves and both pools are so inviting, one heated and the larger one not. At night time, this is where the hotel transforms into a seriously romantic place that takes your breath away. Fires are lit both inside and out, which is so charming. If you are expecting 5 star luxury and lots of entertainment or shopping, stay somewhere else, this isn't the place for you! (the Capaldi is a 3 star hotel, not 5, and it doesn't pretend to be). This is a place for people who want some serious downtime in a chilled, well managed and discreet hotel. Somewhere you can recharge and renew before going back to your normal busy lives. I personally loved all its imperfections, the rooms and furniture is, yes, a tad tired, BUT it doesn't detract in any way, from how special and unique this place is. It has a rustic/farmhouse vibe to it, and is just perfect for the environment. No complaints from us, and we will most definitely be coming back. Thank you to ALL The Capaldi Team. You have a unique hotel and just keep doing what you do. PS: a special mention about Carole the hotel Manager, she is just fabulous, what a wonderful addition to the Capaldi. PPS: I think one thing the hotel is missing a trick on, is having tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. For very early risers like myself this would be the icing on the cake, taking in the birdsong before the hotel awakens 😊

This is how great this hotel is.....we arrived and immediately extended our stay an extra 2 nights. We have always thought, wouldn't it be nice to stay longer when we go on holiday, but this place was that good that we actually did it! Carol and team do a superb job. The moment you arrive, you can feel it is such a comfortable atmosphere, real laid back luxury. The grounds are huge and very scenic. We loved our superior courtyard room with terrace with mountain view. Room and bathroom were huge, we even had our own fireplace. There are plenty of places to relax and enjoy, so you could happily have time alone or socialise with others. We used the private cinema one night which was cool too. Food and drinks reasonably priced as well. Actually cried when we had to leave! Hotel Capaldi is my new happy place! Hope to return soon! Thank you again everyone at Hotel Capaldi!

Beautiful gardens, lovely food, two great swimming pools and faultless service throughout the week. I was there as part of a group, and we were immaculately looked after - nothing was too much trouble. Lots of happy memories to treasure. Highly recommended.

An absolute dream of a hotel. An oasis of calm with the most delightful and attentive staff. Carole and her team bring so much warmth to the Capaldi. It’s like being with old friends. The restaurant and spa were fabulous. It is clear how much the chef loves his food and attention to detail. The rooms were so comfortable. And nothing was too much trouble.
