Vilas Insight Hotel Machupicchu

Stayed here for 1 night during my sojourn to Machu Picchu - and this hotel is a hidden gem - a bit difficult to spot but its right on one of the main hubs in Aguas Calientes. I was skeptical on how can a small hotel have all 5* reviews - and I was pleasantly proven wrong - It is a boutique hotel with Large rooms with all bathroom amenities one would want - Polite Staff eager to help with any query you might have. ... ... As a solo traveler I have absolutely no complaints but only praises for this hotel. Highly Highly recommended. And yes if I am in Machu Picchu again.. I will not research on where to stay :) Yes.. That good!!

Adorable hotel ran by a pleasant and thoughtful couple. I LOVED that when we arrived at night he was waiting for us at the train station to take us to the hotel. Actually he was so amazing that he took us to purchase our bus tickets for our trip to macchu picchu. And so not to confuse anyone everything is done walking so when I say he took us, I meant walking with us. The room was clean and well sized. Loved being able to take a nice hot shower before bed. Our beds were so comfy. In the morning we had pancakes and breakfast to order. We had coffee and choices of teas as well as fresh fruit juices. They offer box breakfast when you’re on the run and can’t eat in but I would try to make the time cuz it was worth it. They kept out backpacks from the morning until it was time for us to leave this lovely town and wonderful hotel. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer and I know everyone says you don’t need to stay longer but if you’re going up to macchu picchu then I think to stay one more night is an amazing idea and I definitely plan to do that the next time I go.

Very comfortable and nicely decorated hotel. It is quiet, has good hot water, and a nice breakfast. The owner Juan was very helpful. On our third day we realize that we had made a mistake in our dates and Juan helped us change our plans last minute, which he definitely did not have to do. I am very grateful to him for that. Highly recommend.

My friend, daughter, and I rented two rooms overnight here after hiking the KM104 trail before visiting Machu Picchu. What I liked: 1. It was a very comfortable room. Clean, great beds and lots of hot water. 2. Good location, close to everything. 3. The manger is great! It is an uphill walk to the location (if you can't handle it do not visit Machu Picchu) and the manager met us and carried our luggage up and later down. 4. The quinoa pancakes for breakfast totally rocked! I skipped everything else and asked for more pancakes. 5. Excellent WIFI. Maybe what I did not like: 1. Hard to find. Google struggled to point us to the motel, and it is semi-hidden just off the main road. I suspect Google would have trouble with most places. Our KM104 guide called the hotel for directions and manager came down and met us.

This place was great. East to find from the town, and easy walking distance from everything. They let us check in early and check out later. Breakfast was really good, and they gave us an early breakfast because we wanted to go to Machu Pichu early. The staff were friendly. The rooms were large The beds were comfortable There was hot showers.
