Überschaubar grosses Mittelklassehotel in bester Lage zum Zentrum. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und recht gross. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr reichhaltig und man kann zusätzlich Eispeisen bestellen, Kaffee und Tee werden kostenlos den ganzen Tag lang angeboten. Nur vom ”Roof Garden” sollte man nicht zu viel erwarten, das ist ein etwas grösserer Balkon.

Schönes Hotel. Große Lage in der Nähe des Flusses und des Festivals. Club-Lounge gab große Frühstücksoptionen und Abendsäne und Getränke Auswahl waren sehr großzügig ( genügend, um zum Abendessen bei mindestens einer Gelegenheit zu ersetzen).

Mein Mann und ich feiern unser erstes Hochzeitstag dieses Jahres durch den Besuch von Adelaide. Stamford Plaza war unsere Hauptbasis, da wir in der gesamten Region reisen, die alle Kunst, Kultur, Geschichte, Architektur, Lebensmittel und Wein der Region erlebt. Unser Aufenthalt im Stamford Plaza war angenehmen und sauber mit allen notwendigen Einrichtungen in einer zentralen Lage. Um die Bar zu erheben, obwohl es der Service war, den wir am Stamford Plaza von Jacqui aka Jax erhalten haben, die es extra besondere machte. Von ihrem warmen Willkommen, empfohlenen Attraktionen und heißen Punkten bis zu den zusätzlichen besonderen Touchs einschließlich einer Flasche Wein, um uns zu feiern. Unsere Erinnerungen an unsere Aufenthalte in Adelaide wurden durch Jax und das Stamford Hotel erheblich verbessert. Danke!

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, um sich zu kaufen und zu essen, und das Hotel ist freundlich und für einen frühen Eincheck angeordnet.

We stayed here last night as we were going to The 10cc concert. Arrival was swift and easy and the room was already available. Our room was a junior suite facing North Terrace, it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed 2 complimentary drinks from the bar. They have refurbished the hotel but I think the bar looks a touch bland and not welcoming. I would have thought that there would have been sanitiser available on all levels by the lifts and in the room also. The shampoo, soap etc no longer comes as individual packs but huge bottles and being still in Covid times I thought this a bit off putting. Breakfast was ok nothing special and luckily we had ours included or it would have cost us $42.00 per person and it was not worth that much. The pre-made pancakes were freezing cold. There was a good range of cereals and the fruit plates were nice but had defrosted and tinned fruit also. I found all the supposedly hot foods not hot but cool venturing on cold and they need to do something about the baked beans as they were nasty. We had a slight hiccup on leaving as we were almost charged for two glasses of red wine which we quickly told the receptionist we never had. She amended that quickly so all good.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to the city and without too much noise. The queen room I had was fabulous! The shower and bathroom products were particularly divine. The breakfast facilities are wonderful too!! I would stay here again 🤩

Wir haben eine Nacht im Hotel Adelaide Riviera in einem Zwilling-Zimmer geblieben, bevor wir den Ghan an Bord nehmen. Das Hotel wurde angemessen auf der Nordterrasse im Zentrum von Adelaide gelegen und wir fanden, dass Zimmer ziemlich geräumig und sauber und es hat sogar ein Spabad. Das Zimmer hatte 2 separate Schlafzimmer mit einem Könnenbett und das andere mit einem Einzelbett, einem Sofa und einem Tisch mit 2 Stühlen. Als wir ankamen, klang es wie eine Party im Zimmer neben der Tür, aber später am Abend war alles ruhig. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Großer Service. Erstaunliche Lage, neben dem Victoria Square. Personal ist extrem hilfreich. Empfehlen Sie allen, die einen qualitativ hochwertigen Urlaub in Adelaide haben wollen.

Most plastic chairs and 1 of the 2 plastic loungers at the pool were broken and beyond repair. Pool seemed to have its often leafy and hair-balled bottom vacuumed and some water added once a week. It never appeared to have any disinfecting chemicals added. There was a pool safety sign that showed first aid tips and a no-running rule in small font, but there was no mention of the commonplace horseplay, jumping, and diving in the pool. Also, kids routinely ignored the No Running bit - often in full view of their watching adults. The pool’s layout seemed to invite accidents with sharp edges protruding in at least 3 places along the attached remains of 2 jacuzzis. Overall, it was often a playground for kids and their watchers, but at best, rather like a plunge pool with insufficient space for any real swimming, even for a couple of guests. A shading structure covered 2 wooden tables and benches, and the whole pool area was enclosed in a fenced part of the parking lot adjacent to bins for recyclables and garbage. Someone made a daily routine of throwing out crushed biscuits and crackers to feed pigeons, etc. Housekeeping and reception were very professional with only occasional reminders needed about missed reservations and amenities at the busy time we were there. Room furnishings included large tv, microwave, refrigerator, good mattress and kitchenware. Laundry room with card reading machines was another plus. Location was great for either walking or taking the tram to Glenelg beach - walking there along ANZAC Hwy or using the tram at 4th Ave & Dunbar Tce.

The Grand is without a doubt all about the location! Given it’s ocean front position it should offer an absolute premium experience but instead falls a little short as it continues to date without much sign of refurbishment. The rooms are basic, the carpets old, the furnishings aging and everything just feels in need of some love. Bathrooms still have showers over the bath with shower curtains and the air con in the room wasn’t very effective (too hot despite being on the coolest setting). There was also a wedding being hosted during my 1 night stay and despite my room being on the 5th floor (ballroom is on level 1), I could hear the band/music until the end of the reception at 11:30pm. On the positive (besides premium location), the staff at reception / concierge were excellent. They greeted with absolute care on arrival and happiness during check out, despite being early in the morning. It felt like they enjoyed what they did and that’s so good to see in customer facing roles. Worth considering this hotel for a stay, just as long as you’re happy with basic ammenities in a great location.
