The check-in process is extremely cumbersome. There is a pre-check-in to complete, which we didn’t receive or know about until we were at the front desk. It took more than an hour, a call to customer service, four emails with different steps to complete and two automated texts to finally check in. Then came the security deposit (about $190 USD), which, weeks after check-out, has yet to be refunded and inquiries with customer service have gone unanswered. We stayed in early July 2024, not before 2019, as the company has said in replies on other reviews that note the same issue, stating that they changed their process in 2019. The room was fine, nothing special, but the experience checking in and now trying to resolve the deposit issue have made us want to avoid all Charles Hope properties in the future.
