Das Hotel ist jawaniach eingerichtet und liegt im Zentrum der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und gross. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und das Personal äusserst freundlich.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel in einem geschichtsträchtigen Gebäude, sehr freundliches Personal. Großartiges Frühstücksbuffet. Der Pool war uns zu voll. Vermisst haben wir ein preiswertes Airportshuttle

Ein charmantes, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommenes hotel. Decke und Kissen waren nicht sauber, wurden jedoch sofort ausgetauscht. Leider waren die Vorgänge auch nicht intakt, sodass diese nicht ganz verschlossen werden konnten.

The location was excellent. The breakfast is the best. Gym was decent though not 24hours. Great service too, gave my hubby a birthday cake.

The rich history of this hotel with every aspects. What a great staff and they’re very hospitable, caring n kind. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic and catering for Western and local Indonesians delicacies. I had Spa and enjoyed facial one n foot massage. Would love to stay if I go back to visit Yogyakarta

The hotel itself is in a beautiful building. It is definitely worth paying a little more for a room with a balcony and a pool view. The pool area is a real highlight.  The problems I had seemed to relate to housekeeping which seems very understaffed. I arrived at 3.30 and had to wait 30 minutes to be shown to a room I hadn’t booked. I then needed to wait for my actual room to be ready. I stayed two night and on the middle day was out from 9-3.30 in which time housekeeping hadn’t been.  Not their fault, they were all very friendly but maybe not enough of them.

Family friendly + Instagramable hotel with friendliest welcome by staffs during our 3 nights stay. Walkable to nearest point of interest and super accessible on public transport (grab, local bikes), mini mart and popular restaurants!

We only stayed at the hotel for one night, but we enjoyed it. The colonial-style building gave us a unique atmosphere. Located in the heart of Jogja, we could easily travel to other tourist areas such as Jl. Malioboro, the Jogja Palace, and the Vredeburg Museum. What impressed me was the hotel's breakfast. It was amazing with a variety of options including Western, local, and traditional choices. Even though it was just a one-night stay, it was very memorable.

Welcome was warm, and check-in was speedy and simple. The hotel is split across 2 different buildings so some rooms, ours included, are some way from the pool, restaurants etc. But the room itself was wonderfully comfortable and clean. The bed was huge and made for a very good night's sleep. The only small issue was the lack of plug sockets for charging phones etc in the room. The sockets by the bed had the lamps plugged in to so couldn't charge and have a lamp on whilst in bed! There was also only 1 socket by the desk which had the TV plugged in to. Breakfast was hugely varied and good. We even had a large mantis join us at the table because we were sat in the beautiful courtyard area!! This beautiful historic hotel is definitely worth a luxurious stay at if coming to Yogyakarta. Represents excellent value for money and is in a brilliantly central location. Highly recommended.

I like the rustic feel of the hotel. However, the hotel is not well maintained. The bed is very comfortable.

The absolute strength of this hotel is its beautiful building in colonial style and great service. You will have a memorable stay here. The rooms are a bit worn, especially the bathrooms. However, I would still recommend it. Great breakfast and very nice pool area as well.

Hotel is quite outdated and in need of some renovation works. The staff is friendly but not up to standards for a 5* hotel.

I recently stayed at The Phoenix Hotel and was thoroughly impressed by its charm and exceptional service. The hotel has a classic, cozy atmosphere with well-maintained rooms that blend comfort and functionality perfectly. The true standout, however, is the staff. Every team member was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. From offering local tips to fulfilling special requests, their dedication to service was evident at every turn. The food at the hotel is also top-notch. The restaurant offers a delicious variety of dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had an excellent selection to start the day right. Overall, The Phoenix Hotel offers a warm, welcoming experience with fantastic service and food. I can’t wait to return!
