Stayed here recently with my wife during a business trip to Omaha. Got a nice sized, King Suite room with Jacuzzi and shower. Nice large, spacious room, though a bit out dated. That doesn't really bother me much at all, except the Jacuzzi simply DID NOT WORK. Couldn't even turn the water on! In addition to this, the hot water in the bathroom was virtually non-existent. I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say that you had to turn the water on in the shower, sink, etc., and simply walk away for several minutes and come back for it to even be warm. It seems the hospitality industry everywhere we go has completely abandoned even the most basic and standard elements of ensuring people have a pleasant stay while traveling. We were loyal to another hotel chain (IHG hotels) for over 25 years when we started getting frustrated with their increasing poor management and quality and starting staying in Choice hotels hoping to see something better. Well, they've been a major disappointment as well. We don't expect 5-star resort treatment at these places, but when trying to book the better rooms and still stay budget-friendly you don't expect to take for granted things like hot running water. The hotel wasn't at all busy so it wasn't a matter of the plumbing system being taxed with maximum occupancy. We also stayed in another Choice Hotels location this same weekend and it was an even worse experience. The only redeeming quality about this place was that the lady running the breakfast area in the morning was staying on top of things. Apart from that, we're pretty much through with Choice Hotels at this point. May just have to start traveling in an RV and avoid hotel stays altogether!

There were some issues with the room. Floor lamp damaged, wall hvac didn’t work and there was a portable heater plugged into the lamp on the night stand (fire hazard) to heat the room. Saw one dead bug and one live one in the bathroom. Tv remote was dirty- didn’t want to touch it. Staff member was nice and check in was easy.

Unser Zimmer war rechtzeitig bei der Kontrolle bereit. Wir baten um ein Königszimmer im ersten Stock und wir waren mit einem wunderbaren Zimmer in der Nähe des Vordertafels und Frühstücksbereich. Unser Zimmer war schön und cool, AC war relativ ruhig, und alles war sehr sauber. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Kühlschrank, eine Mikrowelle und einen Kaffeemaschine. Das Front Desk Personal war alle freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Bett war komfortabel mit großen Kissen. Das Reinigungspersonal hat sogar eine Note hinterlassen, die Hoffnung, dass wir einen schönen Aufenthalt hatten!

Decent hotel that was clean and the staff we encountered were all friendly. The room was adequate for our purposes, which was just a place to stop for the night and sleep. The bed was very firm (meaning we found it stiff and hard). Very little give to the mattress, kind of like sleeping on a board. The bathroom was small and tight with a door that made it difficult to maneuver around. The toilet was very low to the ground and the toilet bowl was as small as I've seen. The rest of the room was basic, it included a desk and desk chair, a fridge and microwave, along with a 3 drawer credenza that had the TV on it. Basic,a little tired looking, but clean and efficient. They served hot breakfast from 6-9 am with eggs, potatoes, sausage, french toast, and biscuits and gravy. There were also cereal, apples, and yogurt to choose from. Overall, it is an average hotel that simply served its purpose.

Jedes Mitarbeiter, den ich traf, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mein Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel. Kabelfernsehen hatte viele Kanäle zu sehen. Ich hatte Nachbarn auf beiden Seiten und konnte nicht viel hören, es war ein ruhiger und anständiger Aufenthalt.

We stayed at Horizon on our way to and from a trip to Colorado. We chose this hotel basically because of the low price. That could be a real risk, considering where many low-cost hotels are located. This hotel is not in a bad neighborhood as someone else commented on. It is right off I-80 near the airport and very easy to find. Because of their location, there is nowhere to really get out for a nice walk after traveling a long time. There are some gas stations nearby. We chose to go to town to find a good restaurant to eat at... and there are places within a 10 minute's drive. Staff is friendly and helpful! Rooms are very clean. The beds are a bit firm, but comfortable. Wifi actually worked. The in-room compact refrigerator was handy to keep our things from spoiling. Good water pressure made for a decent shower. One thing they could improve, perhaps, are the towels and washcloths were a bit on the scratchy side. The A/C worked very well. The entire hotel was well kept. Breakfast is definitely a continental style breakfast. They had a waffle maker for those who enjoy something more than cereal, bagels, etc. Noise levels being near an airport? We had no airport noise whatsoever during either stay. Would we stay here again if we had the opportunity? Sure would. Appears to be family owned and we support small businesses any chance we get. Thank you for a good nights' sleep, Horizon! Ya did good!!
