"Es war ein Samstagmorgen, als unser Bereich für eine rotative Braunüchterung geplant war. Wir verpassten die Social Media-Ankündigung. Aber um den Tag zu retten, reservierten wir in diesem Hostel.
Das Front Desk war so bequem und gab uns sogar eine erfreuliche frühe Eincheckung, um uns von Stress zu entspannen. Die Wachen am Front waren auch so nett.
Die Lage ist nur am Corner Entry zum Cebu Business Park aus Hipodromo. Es ist sehr bequem und erreichbar.
Das Zimmer war angemessen. Das AC funktioniert gut. Der TV war WiFi-Reihen. Das Bett war komfortabel.
Die Dusche war jedoch gebrochen. Das Wasser auf der Ventile zwischen dem Hauptschlauch und der Oberschlauch. Die Höhe des Gästezimmers und der Dusche war zu dünn, dass das Wasser vom Dusche zu dem Wasser ins Zimmer werfen. Das Fenster war schmutzig mit Wassermarken und Staub-gedrehten Zementrückständen.
Der Handtuchhaken war auch aus dem Platz, da ein gehängtes Handtuch wird, wenn Sie die Dusche wechseln. Ich denke, die Planung wurde nicht sorgfältig gedacht. Ich weiß nicht.
Die Plus waren der Kühlschrank und der Mikrowelle.
Es war ein guter Versuch, aber vielleicht nicht zurück."

AAina M. L. LoronaI had a hot, uncomfortable disappointed, and we were in utter shocked that the room I booked was not in their system. As I was rebooking, it was not the same as the first booking then blacked out occured. During the blacked out the my booking end up with only a bed in dorm style quarters, public bathroom and no privacy.
My first booking was a package trip from Cebu to Manila which still in a wrong date. The actual date for the flight was to be on August 19 @ 9:50 but the three agent that I spoke to on the 18th got my hotel canceled and only provided me a rebooked solution. Sure, I can rebooked, thank so much for making my simple trip into **************** with my family, along withy impatient high functioning autism, 24 years old son who doesn't like his iPad to be low battery and no wifi.
To remind you that the black out still happening, so during my aunty and son lunch the black still going. I have no idea what kind of menu and price for food and drinks. As I saw the server put the first plate of food, I was shocked to see the mountain square shape nacho cheese beyond understanding. My aunty is only 90 to 100 pounds. She doesn't speak English and doesn't understand what she ordered, so she asked question about salad and a slice of pizza. But that not what the server brought, he came out again carrying nacho cheese, same size as the first nacho cheese/beef, except the second is chicken then a whole large Canadian bacon pizza. I couldn't believe the amount of food that was ordered then a Red Bull for my autistic son? My aunty was repeatedly saying that she only want salad and a slice pizza then water. What she really wanted the cook and server wanted to do is take away all the food back including the Red Bull. Oh, one more set of food, two big pieces of Burrito. The hotel is still in black out and stuffy hot and dark.
The staff are not good listener. My son started eating and drinking the Red Bull, when I saw him, I told the staff that Red Bull straight might kill him of a heart attack. I also mentioned that my son doesn't know self control when it comes to food which is called glutenny . He already pass his regular weight. I heard my aunty said that my son ordered all the food; she had no idea what he was ordering.
Meanwhile the black out still continuing till around 5:30 pm, every building around the area has their electricity back on but not the Papabo. Our booking still in process. The manager charged me for the lunch even though the mistake was the their service, taking order from an autistic person instead of asking his parents. The manager decided to booked us in the one room that has two bunk bed, private bathroom and has windows cause still black out. The room is stuffy and hot, it's on the fourth floor, no elevator and dark to go up the stairs. We decided to lock up our things in the room cause still black out.
My aunty over heard that the electricity bill was not paid. So as soon as I got down. The manager charged me 1500 pesos cash plus 1200 pesos for lunch that I only got to eat two slices of pizza and a couple of bite of nacho beef. I didn't get to have the burritos. The Papabo manager quickly went to pay for their electricity bill after she spoke to the owner.
My aunty and me went to the beach. I for sure locked the bedroom and still no electriçity. My son went to 7/11 to charge the iPad. We got back at the hotel at 8:30 or so and the electricity was on and my son also in the in the hotel. Do recognized that the hotel keys was an actual key, and I only have the key with. In my surprised our bedroom door was wide open, our things are scattered on the chair and table. Now, just today at this time, I'm still looking for my necklace that has my Mom piece of earing, my oldest son alligator tooth pendant and my initial pendant A.
I'll call the hotel when I finished looking at our things here.Yap, my necklace is missing.

I honestly cannot recommend Yellow Umbrella Hostels in Cebu City enough. From the moment I arrived until the moment I checked out, every single part of my stay exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that stood out was how spotlessly clean everything was. The rooms, bathrooms, common areas, everywhere was exceptionally well maintained. You can really tell that the staff takes great pride in keeping the hostel comfortable, organized, and welcoming.
What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Manager Glen deserves special recognition. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, valued, and at home. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests create such a positive atmosphere that you can feel it throughout the entire hostel.
And honestly, the rest of the staff were just as incredible. I would write names but truly every staff was amazing because every single person I met was outstanding. They were always smiling, approachable, eager to help, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making guests’ experiences unforgettable. That level of hospitality is rare and deserves to be celebrated.
The atmosphere is warm, safe, and incredibly comforting. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this hostel makes it easy to relax, meet amazing people, and truly enjoy your time in Cebu. The service was consistently exceptional, every request was handled quickly, every interaction was friendly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
I’ve stayed in many accommodations while traveling, and Yellow Umbrella Hostels genuinely ranks among the very best. It’s not just a place to sleep, it’s a place that makes you feel at home.
If you’re visiting Cebu City, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it. Thank you to Glen and the entire team for making my trip so memorable. You have set the standard for what hospitality should be, and I can’t wait to come back.

CChryz GabrielleDies ist die perfekte, preisgünstige Wohnung, die man in Bantayan finden kann. Ich bin als Alleinreisende total begeistert. Sie liegt in der Nähe von Kota Beach und dem MJ Square. Außerdem war Ate Tagabantay so freundlich, dass sie mich sogar ihrem Mann vorgestellt hat, der mir die Insel gezeigt hat. Ein wirklich wundervoller Aufenthalt!

MMarni_zDie Lage ist günstig, in der Nähe des Flughafens und des Stadtzentrums mit Einkaufszentrum und Supermarkt. Die Standardzimmer, der Pool, die Bar, der Waschraum und die Gemeinschaftsküche sind alle in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Besonders empfehlenswert: der Mango-Smoothie. Einziger Nachteil: Das Zimmer wurde nicht täglich gereinigt, und am Ende des Aufenthalts wird möglicherweise eine zusätzliche Wäschegebühr erhoben, falls die Handtücher nicht sauber sind. Da der Schmutz objektiv betrachtet nicht von normal benutzten Handtüchern zu unterscheiden ist, erscheint dies ungerechtfertigt. Das Personal ist stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

We booked this hotel for three nights primarily because of its incredibly low price, around 500+ pesos. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see the area filled with HPG (Highway Patrol Group) motorcycles; it turned out they were also staying there due to an ASEAN event in Lapu-Lapu, which made the vicinity quite busy. When we entered, the reception was unattended for a moment, and when someone did assist us, they seemed rushed and hard to communicate with. Being escorted to our room was an ”okay” experience. For the 500-peso price point, it met expectations! The room had a refrigerator, and we were happy to find a bucket and dipper, which meant we could do our laundry a huge plus for us. While the shower pressure was slightly better than our previous accommodation, we still weren't fully satisfied and ended up using the bucket and dipper for bathing. We enjoyed the TV, even if it was a manual one at least it worked! However, our experience at the dining area upon checkout was quite chaotic. The staff there seemed disorganized; they were laughing, and then there was a clear concern from another guest whose order hadn't arrived despite being placed earlier than ours. It turned out their order wasn't even listed, indicating an absent-minded mistake. The scene quickly escalated with staff shouting questions like ”Where's the order?” and ”Which order?” among themselves, creating a very confusing and unpleasant atmosphere.

Die Lage liegt in der Nähe des Gemeinschaftszentrums, das es uns einfach macht, um die Gegend zu fahren. Wir hatten während unseres Aufenthalts eine tolle Zeit, vor allem die Kinder.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und verfügen über eine Klimaanlage, einen Deckenventilator und Duschannehmlichkeiten. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Hotels auf den Philippinen gibt es Platz zum Abstellen von Dingen (Bodenhänger + Kommode + Schreibtisch).
Das Personal sagt, dass Russen hier häufig zu Gast sind, deshalb haben sie grundlegende Sätze auf Russisch gelernt.
Für 250 Pesos können sie ein amerikanisches Frühstück zubereiten (Ei, Wurst/Speck, Toast und Obst des Tages).
Transfer vom Hotel zum Flughafen Mactan 2200 Pesos.
Sie helfen auch beim Fahrradverleih.

„Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, im Allsons Inn zu übernachten, und ich muss sagen, es hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen! Die gemütliche Atmosphäre des Hotels und das freundliche Personal haben mir das Gefühl gegeben, zu Hause zu sein.
Das Zimmer war sauber, komfortabel und gut gepflegt und verfügte über alle notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten. Das Bett war plüschig und die Klimaanlage war eine willkommene Abwechslung von der Hitze.
Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls ein großes Plus, da viele Restaurants, Geschäfte und Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar sind.
Der einzige Grund, warum ich nicht die vollen 5 Sterne vergeben habe, ist, dass die Frühstücksoptionen verbessert werden könnten. Das Personal ist jedoch gerne auf meine Wünsche eingegangen und das Essen war trotzdem köstlich.
Insgesamt kann ich Allsons Inn jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der eine komfortable, praktische und erschwingliche Unterkunft sucht.
