Very good location and friendly staff who helped us with our check-in process. The showers did not have hot water on the day we arrived but they let us use the communal toilets instead.

The room description was incorrect. The room was really tight for 5 person. We booked for 1 double bed, 1 single bed & 1 bunk bed, but we get 1 double bed bunk bed & another 1 bunk bed. It's difficult for elderly to climb up the bunk, we ended up pay for another 2 single beds in a separate room. The gave us a little discount for it.

Alle Mädchen lieben rein. Gut, die Welt kann nicht ohne Mädchen. Es ist wirklich schlecht, den Schorn zu finden. Zum ersten Mal kam der Zug verspätet, die Nacht fand ich keinen Weg, Google-Navigations-Hühner, die Hühner gingen auf der anderen Seite, und es gab einen kleinen Schmetterling, die Augen grüne, die einzige Lichtung der Nacht war die grünen Augen, die Schweiße kletterten. Am nächsten Tag fand ich, dass die Straße neben ihm ein schmutziger Land war. Die Monster sind verrückt.

GGastnutzerWe booked the family room as visiting friends in the village. Well the room was more like a an apartment, with a separate room with two single beds for the kids. Lovely decor and nice bedding. The rooms were immaculate and fitted out to a high standard. Charming views of the river. We had a lovely evening meal downstairs. If you try the speciality Parmo, be warned that a whole one is definitely one for those with a big appetite. The location is great with an easy walk to local shops and centre of the village. The continental breakfast was also very generous and set us up for the day. In summary, we were really impressed with the rooms and would definitely book again for our next visit and would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the team at The Buck.

Beautiful room, very clean, warm and comfortable with plenty of towels and pillows. Big TV, easy to navigate remote!
Bathroom was spotless, nice complimentary toiletries.
Comfy bed, had a good sleep once I managed to get off, could hear other guests on the corridor, but I guess I was earlier settling in than the average on a Sunday evening (early to work Monday!)
Breakfast was really good quality, fair selection of hot and cold options, lots of fresh fruit on offer too. Very impressed, bit disappointed I arrived later on the Sunday evening and decided not to have an evening meal now!

AAnonymer NutzerObwohl es auf einer Hauptstraße leicht verpasst wird, vor allem in der Nacht, da es keine attraktiven Zeichen gibt. Auf der Website Parkplatz ist sehr beschränkt, obwohl es einen öffentlichen Parkplatz ca. 100 m unten die Straße gibt. Es ist nahe dem Dorfzentrum. Das Zimmer war sauber, Größe und Dekorationen sind auch vernünftig.

GGastnutzerWe loved staying in this little hotel, a large and clean room with comfy bed and pillows, spotlessly clean and well stocked coffee and tea tray. As we stayed on Friday, the carvery was served and the food was good (the beef and roasted carrots was excellent) and plentiful with the price you can't beat. Excellent value for money, the same applies for drinks. Welcoming staff and free parking. Despite being positioned by the road , we had a peaceful night , no outside noise. We will stay again here as all together, it was a good hotel to stay in and I recommend it to others , for visits of Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Dales...

GGastnutzerThe location is perfect. Alternative parking was offered if needed, which it was not as we parked in the front of The George. The room was spacious (we were in number 10) with a sitting area and desk for those who require to do work ... the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was top notch ... we ordered Steak and Ale Pie, which was delicious and Fish and Chips (asked for them to leave off the fresh/mushy peas) ... the fish was enormous, fresh and very tasty ... the fries/chips were homemade.
All in all, we would highly recommend The George.

SSpeightThe Plough Inn was a delightful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless! I had the best nights sleep ever because it’s so nice and quiet. The food was absolutely delicious also, both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Parking is free and plentiful. Would love to visit it again. A lovely, cosy Yorkshire dales vibe.

GGastnutzerIdeal location for our overnight stay in York. Room was clean and the bed and linen was all very comfortable. We were able to park overnight nearby at a cost of £18. Shower sealant not in great condition and the toilet seat was not good and needed replacement.
We would use the location again as it was good value for money and generally above expectations.
