Ich hatte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Safestay York Micklegate. Die Lage ist hervorragend, in einer einfachen Spazierweiterung vom Stadtzentrum York, dem Bahnhof, den Stadtwänden und großen Attraktionen. Das Gebäude hat einen historischen Charakter, der das Hostel einzigartiger als ein Standard-Budget-Hotel macht.
Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet, aber es ist sehr gut. Für den Preis und die Lage bietet es einen sehr guten Wert, vor allem für alleinreisende oder Menschen, die nach erschwinglichen Unterkünften in York suchen.
Das einzige, was man bedenken muss, ist, dass es immer noch ein Hostel ist, so sind einige Lärm und gemeinsame Einrichtungen erwartet. Insgesamt würde ich es für einen haushaltsfreundlichen Aufenthalt in einem sehr bequemen Teil von York empfehlen.

The room description was incorrect. The room was really tight for 5 person. We booked for 1 double bed, 1 single bed & 1 bunk bed, but we get 1 double bed bunk bed & another 1 bunk bed. It's difficult for elderly to climb up the bunk, we ended up pay for another 2 single beds in a separate room. The gave us a little discount for it.

旅舍在山頂上，進入老城區後要爬199級台階上山，建議自駕。市中心、火車站步行過來大概15分鐘。花園很漂亮，有餐廳提供早餐和其他餐點。前台不是24小時的。15點準時開始辦理入住。checkout時間是早上10點，把鑰匙卡扔進箱子裏就可以。自助廚房的刀叉用具都很乾凈。

GGastnutzerWe booked the family room as visiting friends in the village. Well the room was more like a an apartment, with a separate room with two single beds for the kids. Lovely decor and nice bedding. The rooms were immaculate and fitted out to a high standard. Charming views of the river. We had a lovely evening meal downstairs. If you try the speciality Parmo, be warned that a whole one is definitely one for those with a big appetite. The location is great with an easy walk to local shops and centre of the village. The continental breakfast was also very generous and set us up for the day. In summary, we were really impressed with the rooms and would definitely book again for our next visit and would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the team at The Buck.

Beautiful room, very clean, warm and comfortable with plenty of towels and pillows. Big TV, easy to navigate remote!
Bathroom was spotless, nice complimentary toiletries.
Comfy bed, had a good sleep once I managed to get off, could hear other guests on the corridor, but I guess I was earlier settling in than the average on a Sunday evening (early to work Monday!)
Breakfast was really good quality, fair selection of hot and cold options, lots of fresh fruit on offer too. Very impressed, bit disappointed I arrived later on the Sunday evening and decided not to have an evening meal now!

AAnonymer NutzerObwohl es auf einer Hauptstraße leicht verpasst wird, vor allem in der Nacht, da es keine attraktiven Zeichen gibt. Auf der Website Parkplatz ist sehr beschränkt, obwohl es einen öffentlichen Parkplatz ca. 100 m unten die Straße gibt. Es ist nahe dem Dorfzentrum. Das Zimmer war sauber, Größe und Dekorationen sind auch vernünftig.

GGastnutzerWe loved staying in this little hotel, a large and clean room with comfy bed and pillows, spotlessly clean and well stocked coffee and tea tray. As we stayed on Friday, the carvery was served and the food was good (the beef and roasted carrots was excellent) and plentiful with the price you can't beat. Excellent value for money, the same applies for drinks. Welcoming staff and free parking. Despite being positioned by the road , we had a peaceful night , no outside noise. We will stay again here as all together, it was a good hotel to stay in and I recommend it to others , for visits of Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Dales...

GGastnutzerThe location is perfect. Alternative parking was offered if needed, which it was not as we parked in the front of The George. The room was spacious (we were in number 10) with a sitting area and desk for those who require to do work ... the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was top notch ... we ordered Steak and Ale Pie, which was delicious and Fish and Chips (asked for them to leave off the fresh/mushy peas) ... the fish was enormous, fresh and very tasty ... the fries/chips were homemade.
All in all, we would highly recommend The George.

JJulienEin absolutes Geschmack eines Ortes. Von der warmen Willkommen bis zum ausgezeichneten Abendessen wurden wir für willkommen gemacht. Die Eigentümer sind wirklich echte Gastgeber und wissen ihren Handel gut.
Das Zimmer war sehr schön mit allen Einrichtungen, die Sie für den Preispunkt erwarten.
Unsere vorherige Buchung war früher an diesem Tag abgesagt worden und ich freue mich, dass wir am Schloss Arms enden.
Großer Wert für Geld in allen Abteilungen.
Wir hatten unsere Hunde mit uns und fühlten uns sicher und konnten unseren Wagen vom Fenster des Zimmers sehen. Außerdem gab es genug Platz, um sie zu laufen.

GGastnutzerBeautifully appointed room, incredibly quiet until the kitchen fans went on in the morning, but not an issue.
The bathroom was exceptionally clean with everything needed for a long bath if required.
The amenities within the room were fabulous. An incredibly comfortable bed with plenty of wardrobe space if needed.
The only let down was a repair made to the window had left a paint 'scar' that needed repainting.
The pub was very olde wordly and fabulous.

The accommodation is very reasonably priced, including cooked breakfast - I had a full English.
My room has two arm chairs, comfortable large bed and lovely bathroom. The view from the window couldn't be better.
The food last was also delicious and great value. Good range of beers including two hand drawn.
Only a few rooms and fully booked last night.
