Familien-Hotels in Gansu, China

We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

We spent 9 days around LanZhou- XiNing - YinChuan staying in the top 5-star hotels in all 3 cities. We can easily conclude that Hyatt Regency LanZhou is the best by a long shot. We were fortunate to have Mr. Yuan of the front desk arrange all our pre check in request. And for a smooth check in- we were lucky to be received by Ms. Paris. She was very gracious and professional. Breakfast at the hotel should be one of LanZhou’s tourist attractions- such a memorable experience. We will definitely be back in the future.

We arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.

The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile! It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement. On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!

The train station basement had no internet connection so I was not able to get DiDi.  Not only did I overpay even after negotiating, but the driver spent the beginning part of the trip texting and I had to swing my arm across him as we were about to rear end another car.  20 minutes later arrival at Maiji Shan park entrance. The friendly owner was already there and immediately helped me with my bags.  A few minute drive to the expansive farmhouse.  I asked for a bowl of noodles which was hot and delicious provided by a grandmother woman. Chinese farm Breakfast was plentiful.  I used the heat as the mountains got cold quickly when the sun dropped.  The immaculate room was large with two double beds, a tv and desk.  The bathroom had integrated toilet and shower so it is wet.  Plenty of hot water tho the turn on was a matter of button pressing.  I learned something new!  Toiletries and paper towels (another first) were provided.  The owner took me to Maiji Shan.  Sadly, it was closed; rain had made rocks fall making it dangerous to climb the stairs. Nevertheless, I took some photos.  I tried to walk back (beautiful fall day), but the owner met me along the wayThe owner and I communicated via WeChat translator.  DIdi was not available and as we started for the train station the bus came behind us.  So the owner put me on it and I wrote via the app.  The bus drives very slowly but I got to the station to run back and forth with my bags, then going to a different floor to get a paper ticket, then back to the waiting area, thru the gate, up the stairs, and finally to my sleeper car.  Outside of asking me for my passport and various tickets about 10 times no personnel was particularly helpful tho I was noisily wheezing.  As I was getting off, Another passenger grabbed my bags and ran down the stairs with them and then went back to the train.  Probably someone in the medical field!  Platform smoking and between cars smoking can affect some people.

Sehr zufrieden, Erwartungen wurden völlig übertroffen. Ich habe ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer ist groß, das Bett ist mit Tatami-Matten ausgelegt, das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls groß und die Raumaufteilung ist sehr gut. Die Rezeptionistin und die Haushälterin Xiaodai reagierten schnell auf Nachrichten und kümmerten sich um Notfälle. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Hotel bietet einen kostenlosen Transfer vom und zum Flughafen. Es liegt direkt neben dem Nachtmarkt, ist aber nachts absolut ruhig und sehr leise.

Das war mein erstes Halt in China und ich bin so froh, dass ich im Hotel Babili in Dunhuang geblieben bin. Ich wurde so gut aufpasst, die Gastfreundschaft des Personals hat sich viele Male für mehrere Bedürfnisse verlängert und ich bin von ihrer Gastfreundschaft beeinflusst. Das wird für eine sehr lange Zeit mein bemerkenswertes erstes Eindruck von China, seinem Volk und ihrer Kultur sein. Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn Sie etwas weiter von der Stadt bleiben und die Stille, näher an die Wüste zu sein und das erstaunliche Design des Ortes genießen. Schönes und komfortables Zimmer, alle letzten Touchs jeden Tag und nach 24 Stunden Reisen raffiniert; ein großzügiges Obst- und Snackplatte, die mich bei der Ankunft süß in Dunhuang gründete und mich kurz nach Mittwoch mit einem schönen Mondkake gefallen. Ihre Kommunikation war häufig und war immer sicher, dass ich das benötigte hatte. Vielen Dank, Babyli.

Es ist weich, bequem und hautfreundlich, und das Kissendesign erfüllt alle Bedürfnisse. 🛁Ausstattung: Haartrockner, reichlich heißes Wasser, heißes Wasser nach dem Aufkochen; das Frühstück ist genau das Richtige und bietet eine ausgewogene Mischung. 🧡Service: Freundlich und aufmerksam, Hilfe mit dem Gepäck, Reiseberatung mit geduldigen Antworten auf Ihre Fragen; vielfältige Hotelaktivitäten: Sand graben, um Goldmünzen zu finden – Kinder lieben es! Der Dunhuang-Ausweishalter, den Sie beim Einchecken erhalten, ist süß und überraschend; im Geschäft werden auch Sternbeobachtungen und Feuerwerk angeboten. 🚗Transport: Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits von Mingshasha. Sie benötigen 5–6 Minuten mit dem Taxi und etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß.

Dieses Mal ging ich nach Dunhuang, um in diese Volkshalle zu leben. Ich war sehr glücklich. Am ersten Tag kam der Chef und bat mich, ihre Handflächen zu essen. Ich fragte, ob ich es lieben würde, ich würde es gerne essen, ich würde es gerne essen, sehr enthusiastisch, das Essen in ihrem Restaurant, das Restaurant ist sehr schön, Außerhalb des Fensters ist der Garten, der Obstgarten, jeden Tag haben wir frische Früchte, Haselnüsse und die Nachmittagsschale sehr wunderschön. Ich lebte in ihren Hausen vier Nächte, ich lebte sehr glücklich, ich traf einen kanadischen Gast, sehr gut gesprochen, lange geblieben, am Tag, an dem ich nach West Line ging, war auch sehr glücklich, ich kam sehr spät zurück, Der Chef wartet immer noch auf mich, sehr nahe von der Berge Lisha, der Chef kann mich nicht anrufen, der Chef wird mich auch bestellen, das Zimmer ist sauber und sauber und die Einrichtungen sind komplett, der Chef hat sich bewegt, mich demontiert, die Details sind intim, der Halle ist bereit für ein Mahlzeiten, lokales Gewürzschrank, und bietet Ihnen kostenlose Reisekleider, Fotos über das Foto, Der Service ist besonders warm und wird auch intim empfehlen, die Angriffe zu spielen, das Frühstück ist mit Früchten, Wildgemüse, usw., der Chef erinnert mich an den Nordwesten sehr trocken, mehr Obst und Gemüse zu essen, mehr Wasser zu trinken.
