The Saltburn Community Theatre in Saltburn by the Sea is proud to present the screening of "Grandad and The Pier - Documentary". Situated on a small island in the Irish sea, a once derelict pier now stands as a symbol of hope and resilience thanks to the efforts of the local elderly population. Despite being closed for decades, the town is experiencing a new lease of life as this generation builds something extraordinary for the next. This heartwarming film, set against the backdrop of a wind-swept and tea-soaked landscape, explores the themes of community, hope, and leaving a legacy that transcends time. Grandad, a central figure in the documentary, declares, "It's the people's pier! It's got to survive. We're going to do it!"
