My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

Brillante Lage, ausgezeichneter Service, große Einrichtungen - nichts zu mögen über diesen Ort. Ich werde dieses Hotel sicherlich nächstes Mal wieder buchen, wenn ich in Christchurch bin.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad. Das Zimmer war klein, aber sauber und funktional. Auch das Bad war sauber und mit den üblichen Annehmlichkeiten (Shampoo, Duschgel, Handseife, Föhn) ausgestattet. Ein Woolworth-Markt ist nur zwei Gehminuten entfernt, und der Flughafen ist zu Fuß in etwa 10–15 Minuten erreichbar. Die Gemeinschaftsküche mit Loungebereich war das Highlight – sie ist sehr geräumig und die Küche war super ausgestattet (viele Kochplatten, Mikrowelle, Backofen, Töpfe und Pfannen, Teller und Schüsseln, Besteck, Geschirrtücher, Gewürze, Öl und viele kostenlose Lebensmittel/Würzmittel). Wir nutzten die Küche gegen 17 Uhr und sie war recht sauber. Als wir jedoch am nächsten Morgen gegen 5 Uhr zum Frühstück zurückkamen, war sie etwas chaotisch, weil rücksichtslose Gäste nicht aufgeräumt hatten. Einziger Nachteil ist die schlechte Schalldämmung, aber angesichts des Preises und der Nähe zum Flughafen kann ich damit leben.

Abgesehen von dem Fleck auf meinem Bettlaken ist das Hotel ein toller Aufenthaltsort, da es geräumig ist und die übrigen Bereiche der Zimmer und Toiletten sauber sind. 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu den Botanischen Gärten oder zum Riverside Market und einem Casino direkt gegenüber. Ich wurde vom Personal herzlich begrüßt und das Einchecken war ein Kinderspiel. Es lohnt sich für einen längeren Aufenthalt, da alle Annehmlichkeiten vorhanden sind, besonders die Huia-Serie gefällt mir. Nur zur Information: Die Handtücher werden alle 3 Tage gewechselt, Sie können sie aber aus Umweltgründen auf Anfrage wechseln lassen.

Hotel is well and good located in central, and walkable to city central and around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good. Room is great too.

Pepper Bluewater Resort, Lake Tekapo 🇳🇿 One of the best places to stay in Lake Tekapo if you’re looking for comfort and convenience. Highly recommended if you’re planning to explore Lake Tekapo.

Das Hotel ist sehr praktisch. Es verfügt über umfassende Einrichtungen und ist um 22 Uhr sehr gut. Man kann auch Xbox spielen, haha, was für ein tolles Erlebnis. Ich habe morgens einen Flug ~ Der Mann an der Rezeption bereitet auch einen Morgenanruf vor, also muss ich eine gute Bewertung abgeben!

Very spacious resort with full amenities like kitchenware, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine n dryer… etc. Good view from balcony.

I had a cosy and comfortable stay. The friendly staff at the reception offered a complimentary shuttle to the airport next morning, a service which I had not realized was available. The staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Thoughtful gestures included offering a bottle of fresh milk, which was an unexpected but lovely touch, as well as assistance in carrying of luggage to both room and on board shuttle van. All these small acts of kindness made me feel so welcomed, especially on my last night in New Zealand. :)
