A stay to remember… for better and worse I’ll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly—they made me feel like I’d wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My room’s curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not ideal—especially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside. The leisure facilities didn’t fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didn’t feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as I’d been looking forward to a relaxing dip. Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous night’s menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable. In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refresh—both in decor and dining. If you’re coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If you’re after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere.

We arrived at 12pm and were able to go straight to our home. Hotel is beautiful and clean. We had dinner in the hotel which was very tasty and breakfast had a great selection of hot food and we got to make our own waffles 🤤

Hotel and facilities are outstanding. Two issues that greeted me when I arrived which took some of the gloss off. First the check in process was painfully slow (literally, I'm disabled) had to wait far too long to collect my card key. Definitely not efficient. Second had an additional charge of £14 for parking despite being a blue badge holder and no where close by as an alternative. Effectively taking advantage of my lack of mobility. Worse when I checked the website I had used to book a figure of £10 was quoted. Gripes aside this is a wonderful place to stay and the breakfast first rate.

Gute Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück. Und wunderschönes Personal. Die einzige Seite und die einzige Fehler, die ich mit dem Hotel habe, ist die Parkplätze. Ich habe für einen gebuchten Platz bezahlt, da ich 24 Zugriff auf mein Auto benötigen. Aber die Räume sind absolut zu eng !!! Wenn Sie aufparken, ist es ein Kampf, die Tür offen zu bekommen weit genug, um herauszukommen! Ich kann mir nur vorstellen, was es für eine Person von einem größeren Bau ist !! Das wäre einfach zu reparieren, wenn das Hotel 2 Räume wegnehmen und die übrigen Bays größeren !!! Bitte schauen Sie sich das an!!!! Neben dem. Ich werde zurück sein.

It's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator. The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi. There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night.

Das Hotel ist in der Nähe von West Carlton, in Blackpool. Das Personal konnte nicht mehr helfen, und die Dame auf dem Vordertisch war so freundlich und chattisch. Sie hielten sofort, als sie merkten, dass ich einen Pflaster, Toddler und 2 Taschen hatte und allein war - sogar ändern unser Zimmer, um die Dinge einfacher zu machen. Liebe Leute! Nur unten waren die dünnen Wände, was bedeutet, dass wir jedes Wort des 4am Arguments im Zimmer neben der Tür hören konnten!!

Everything was fine, friendly staff, right opposite a tram stop, lovely view from the bedroom window and comfy bed. One issue I had was I booked room only and tried to pay for dinner at the hotel but for that whole week, they only catered to a certain amount of people which meant I had to go off premises to eat dinner. Other than that, no issues and would stay again.

At the outset I have to say that the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. However the ”hotel” and I use the word loosely is very poor. It is extremely tired in every aspect and is in great need of a complete makeover. I believed this is planned for this Winter. The carpets are worn and damaged throughout. The lift was not working and if like us you were on the top floor and had a heavy case this was a safety hazard. Although the sheets had been cleaned you could still see evidence of mildew. The breakfast was open from 7am and we visited at 9 am. The breakfast was very dried up when we sampled it.  On the plus side the room had a great sea view. Needless to say we will not be visiting again.
