Had a great stay at Grand Central Premier Hotel! The room was very big, spacious, clean, and well maintained, which made the stay really comfortable. The facilities and amenities are also great. I especially appreciated the welcome drinks during check-in, a nice touch that made the experience feel more premium. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Location-wise, it’s very strategic. It’s within walking distance to the train station, making it super convenient for getting around. Plus, it’s close to Deli Park Mall, one of the nicest shopping malls in the city, so food and shopping options are easily accessible.

This is my second stay in this hotel. I booked again as my previous experience was good. Reception staff is good and cooperative. Although, I had to face a couple problems which had been resolved, but it was good. The food is very tasty and comperatively reasonable. I would prefer to book again if I happen to come again to Medan.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 guests via trip.com with an additional request for rooms with a connecting door. In the trip.com app, we intentionally correctly filled all the guest details for each rooms. Upon checkin, the hotel’s front desk said they cant accommodate the connecting room request because they say it was booked under different names. Sadly they used this opportunity to argue with us, printing out in front of ourselves with their printer on the front desk: 2 separate reservations under different names (Maybe since we intentionally filled those guest names correctly? But the contact number and email is still the same, no?). From it we briefly saw all details like the 2 different reservations numbers they used as the crucial evidence, and how our booking was routed through ******* (From this detail one could argue the request was lost through the flawed trip.com system. Yet the hotel could’ve investigated and be more proactive after seeing a reservation for one room asking for connecting doors??). I thought hotel guests checking in at night only wanted rest, not attending trial??? Although to be fair in the end they got us 2 connecting rooms, albeit at a low floor (after the unnecessary bargaining). They required Rp200K as deposit. Room was clean, with a very useful Korean brand smart tv. Functional hair dryer, good lighting, with an in-room safe, and a small fridge/chiller. Breakfast could’ve been better, but there’s a lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We got valet parking but didn’t pay for it, was it complimentary because of the limited parking space this hotel has, or did we get it as compensation/goodwill, we never knew (this was not explained at check in).

Hotel is well appointed and located. Service is acceptable but we had to wait more than half an hour to check in. On top of that, we were not given the 5 twin rooms we booked and confirmed. We had to settle for 1 kingsize bedded room which was not what we asked for but I had to take the room. This is not expected of a 5 star Marriot hotel. We had made our booking through Trip.com nearly 2 months before our travel date so there is no reason why we could not get our 5 twin rooms when it was confirmed by the hotel. I was very upset but could not wait any longer to check in as we were all very tired. The Receptionist said the hotel was very full but not to be impolite, that is not the customer's problem. Your organisation needs to pull up their socks on delivering what was confirmed without making excuses . To make things worse, when we asked for extension of check out to 2pm, we were flatly refused. They did not even offer to extend 1 or 2 rooms to 2pm although we were a group of 5 rooms that stayed 3 nights in your hotel. We all checked out by 11.30am. I wish I could have had nice things to say about the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the hotel policy but sorry, apart from smiling staff, tgere is nothing more complimentary I can say.

Wenn Sie etwas abseits der Stadt Ruhe und Entspannung suchen, ist Tuktuk Timbul ideal gelegen. Wir wohnten in einem der kleinen, traditionellen Häuser, die sehr hübsch und charmant waren. Es ist ein großartiger Ort, wenn Sie einfach nur entspannen, die Atmosphäre genießen und nichts unternehmen möchten. Die Unterkunft verfügt über ein Restaurant (wir haben das Essen allerdings nicht probiert), einen Pool, eine Tischtennisplatte und einen Billardtisch – so können Sie sich problemlos unterhalten, ohne das Gelände verlassen zu müssen. Für den Preis ist es definitiv ein gutes Angebot. Wenn Sie jedoch die Umgebung des Tobasees erkunden oder Aktivitäten unternehmen möchten, ist dies möglicherweise nicht der beste Ausgangspunkt. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es nicht viel zu tun, und die Angestellten waren nicht sehr hilfsbereit, als wir nach Empfehlungen fragten – außer der Anmietung eines Rollers gaben sie uns keine weiteren Tipps. Die Kommunikation gestaltete sich schwierig, da sie kaum Englisch sprechen. Der Service wirkte insgesamt etwas distanziert; die Besitzer wohnen in der Nähe, begrüßten uns aber nie, sodass wir uns eher gestört als willkommen gefühlt haben. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen: Eine gute Wahl, wenn Sie einfach nur abschalten, entspannen und sich in der Unterkunft aufhalten möchten. Wenn Sie jedoch freundlichen Service, Tipps für die Umgebung oder Aktivitäten außerhalb der Unterkunft erwarten, könnte die Unterkunft nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprechen.

Sauber genug für ein Budget-Hotel, umgeben von berühmten und köstlichen Speisen. Der Fliesenboden kann laut sein, wenn das Bett Ihres Nachbarn bewegt wird. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis gut. Ein zusätzliches Frühstück kostet 75.000 Rupien. Vom Fenster aus gibt es nicht viel Landschaft.
