The Security Guards are Control Freak Nazis. Roaming Around Looking for Anyone to Harass and Treat Like Garbage.
quiet visit
Atmosphere as in most libraries good...upstairs especially quiet and perfect for study or to use the reference section.
Warning
Love the library. Don’t love the transients and drug addicts hanging out and annoying patrons at the entrance and in the foyer. Security guard can’t be everywhere and one of him to 20 of them?

Shasta Public Library may be ok but the transients, drug traffic, make this area less than desirable to visit. stay safe
