Closed for the winter

As with other businesses in town, this museum has no posted winter hours. There were several contact numbers list for scheduling events or admittance. No opening date was posted as far as I could see.

Great Mining, early settlers Museum

I enjoyed walking through the museum and seeing all of the artifacts and history collected and preserved. Well displayed and some interesting reading at the displays.

They have packed quite a bit of history into this little museum. After visiting the main floor be sure to go below to see the recreated mining exhibit it is wonderful. You will enjoy this little trip ...

Friendly and nice

Great history lesson. My 3 year loved it and the museum staff were so cute to him. The basement is set up as a mine/mine town. Take the time to stop by it's worth it.

Loved the Basement about Mining

They were adding more items to the portion of the museum on the main floor but the basement is done like an old mining area and the items used during that period. Very well done and so worth the stop...
