Worth a quick visit if you're in the area.
This is a free to visit English Heritage site, there is parking available at the roadside. There isn't much too see, but if you are in the area it's worth a quick visit.

Worth a detour off the M6
Not a bad little ruin. Only 5 minutes off the M6, so a good place to stop and stretch the legs. 20 minutes is all you need. Not a big site but interesting. Free entry.
