A must see in Cobar
We got a map from the tourist office and walked to the track from there. We enjoyed our walk around the lake and it really felt like we were out in the desert. A must do in Cobar.
So much water in the middle of nowhere
I was very surprised to see so much water in the reservoir, since I was over 800km from the NSW coast. Well worth a visit.
Overnighting Penalized
This place was a free campground in the past and it is now forbidden to overnight in it. Given how far is everything in this part of the world, it is very unwelcoming that they fine you for overnighti...
Lots of dog droppings
Stopped there a few years ago at the free camp. This time only stopped for a coffee break. Sad to see people coming with their big dogs and leaving their dropping on the grass. Not taking the time to ...
Wonderful place!
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this wonderful place and wish I had been able to spend more time there. Very pleasant near the water and plenty of walking tracks to explore.
