Memorial to women suffrage
The Kate Sheppard memorial is a memorial dedicated to women suffrage. Kate Sheppard was the first woman to campaign for women vote in 1893.

Well worth a visit. September has the Kate Shepherd Camellia shrub in flower. Pretty place besides the Avon River in CBD very close to other Monuments and Memorials.
KATE SHPPARD MEMORIAL
Kate Sheppard Memorial is a bit hard to find with all the roads closed. We had to walk along the path that runs along the avon river. It is OK but more interesting things to see.
Breakthrough for women
This statue takes a bit of looking for these days as it remains tucked away behind the ruins of the old city council building. Still well worth reading the information about women's suffrage.
