Little bit hidden place in Carpignano but well worth a visit. You might need to find the keeper but entering the cool cripta will reward the hassle.

we stopped to visit this charming place by chance. It's in Carpignano and it deserve a visit. I am not a great fan of monuments but entering in this cripta was a great experience.

Beautiful Byzantine place of worship

Open by request only . The guide doesn't speak English but our host came along to translate. Look at the Fantoio (oil manufactory) just next to the crypt as well.
