Our stay in Independence was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had to leave before our original expected date and the staff were helpful in making that change.

We have stayed at the hotel a number of times while visiting our daughter and family. It's our hotel of choice now. always good service, always helpful. We have no complaints. Great value for the price.

One of the filthiest hotels in my 50 years of using them. The bathroom smelled of human feces and the room had an unpleasant odor. The hallways and carpets were extremely dirty and well worn. The only clean area was the reception area and check-in. The check-in individual could barely speak English and was extremely defensive and unhelpful when I requested to cancel my room due to the condition of it.

Second time staying here and was nice that the pool was warm and hardly anyone in it! Kings size beds are amazing

The bedroom and sofa area were clean and nice. It was the dirty bathtub that needed cleaner or scrubbed and the towels and washcloths were stained and really gray. They needed bleached or just replaced. It was close to a lot of shopping and easy, fast access to GEHA Stadium. We found a great restaurant in Independence. The Corner Cafe!!

You should let people know ahead of time about an additional fee for incidentals. They made me pay an additional $100 at the desk.

Rooms were clean and smelled fresh. TV worked perfectly with plenty of channel choices (however I couldn't find the sleep timer). The bathroom door (sliding door on a rail external to the bathroom) was the only disappointment as it had no have a lock and could have been a couple of inches wider to cover the door opening better.

This was a 2-night stay for a business trip. The location is good and convenient. One can tell there has been some updates, like the restroom fixtures and walls and countertops are all very nice. Some things were dated, like stains on the wall and towels that are a little thin and co****. Overall it was a clean and comfortable stay. Breakfast was cold the first day but fine the second morning, with a good variety of provisions with some warm foods, fresh fruit, and some pastry. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. The indoor pool looked a little small, so I did not go in, but the area was clean and well-lit.

Absolutely great. A day ago we stayed at another hotel with a good name brand and it did not compare at all with the quality of this best western in independence. 👍👍 for sure and we would stay in another Best Western for sure. They gave that extra touch !

There was no one at the desk when we arrived, we waited for about 10 minutes and the man arrived with KFC. The room was nice and the breakfast was great! The gentleman working did a great job keeping everything stocked! Everything was great. When we went to check out, no one was at the front again! We just left.
