Worst hotel ever... I stayed for a night and booked two rooms. Unfortunately, one of the rooms had a strong smell, despite informing the staff twice to clean it properly, they didn't do anything about it. Initially, I thought the price was reasonable, but after my unpleasant experience, it felt overpriced. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the receptionist and requested a reasonable refund, they pretended to call the owner or manager but denied my request, claiming that the owner was unavailable. They were unwilling to process the refund. Adding to my disappointment, there were water issues in both of the room as I booked as well. In the morning, there was no water at all, and when I informed the staff, they provided water that was heavily mixed with sand. It was an extremely unpleasant experience overall, and I strongly discourage staying at this hotel. If it were possible, I would have given a negative rating.

Only thing good about it is the location. All major spots in walkable distance. Rest not worth. Room are not maintained properly not worth the money we pay. Breakfast not upto the mark. Serving area is unhygienic No room service not even water is supplied properly. I paid 5000 per day for something they call it as suit room. Except been spacious nothing worth. Vrery low maintained good property.

No so great rooms, broken wardrobes, toilet door lock does not work, got locked once, main door lock is broken need to ensure twice whether it is locked or not. Rooms does not get cleaned everyday unless we ask for, no water bottle, all we had was two towels and two medimix small soaps, remote did not work, battery was leaking, ventilator doors are not noise proof we can hear all noises, under the bed how no cleaned for weeks

We had a very good experience at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal. The rooms do not a have mountain/valley view, but the surroundings are pleasant and photogenic. Our Heritage Suite was a spacious and comfortable room. Less natural light in this room. However, we saw some other rooms with good sunlight, nice wooden furniture. Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style, good authentic south Indian delicacies, different each day, with some common items like idli, dosa, medu vadas (best medu vadas- small, light and crispy!) A different sweet dish everyday (varieties of sheera). Dinner was good. Should have some fixed staple items always, like dal+rice. But whatever was served was good. Hospitality: always responded well on time whenever we placed a call to ask for something. Staff is good natured, always smiling and helpful. Reception is very helpful. We requested booking of sight seeing and cab services and promptly the cab was ready each day, on time. Wifi is also good. Thank you for giving us a great experience at Kodaikanal!
