We arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.

The train station basement had no internet connection so I was not able to get DiDi.  Not only did I overpay even after negotiating, but the driver spent the beginning part of the trip texting and I had to swing my arm across him as we were about to rear end another car.  20 minutes later arrival at Maiji Shan park entrance. The friendly owner was already there and immediately helped me with my bags.  A few minute drive to the expansive farmhouse.  I asked for a bowl of noodles which was hot and delicious provided by a grandmother woman. Chinese farm Breakfast was plentiful.  I used the heat as the mountains got cold quickly when the sun dropped.  The immaculate room was large with two double beds, a tv and desk.  The bathroom had integrated toilet and shower so it is wet.  Plenty of hot water tho the turn on was a matter of button pressing.  I learned something new!  Toiletries and paper towels (another first) were provided.  The owner took me to Maiji Shan.  Sadly, it was closed; rain had made rocks fall making it dangerous to climb the stairs. Nevertheless, I took some photos.  I tried to walk back (beautiful fall day), but the owner met me along the wayThe owner and I communicated via WeChat translator.  DIdi was not available and as we started for the train station the bus came behind us.  So the owner put me on it and I wrote via the app.  The bus drives very slowly but I got to the station to run back and forth with my bags, then going to a different floor to get a paper ticket, then back to the waiting area, thru the gate, up the stairs, and finally to my sleeper car.  Outside of asking me for my passport and various tickets about 10 times no personnel was particularly helpful tho I was noisily wheezing.  As I was getting off, Another passenger grabbed my bags and ran down the stairs with them and then went back to the train.  Probably someone in the medical field!  Platform smoking and between cars smoking can affect some people.

Sehr zufrieden, Erwartungen wurden völlig übertroffen. Ich habe ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer ist groß, das Bett ist mit Tatami-Matten ausgelegt, das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls groß und die Raumaufteilung ist sehr gut. Die Rezeptionistin und die Haushälterin Xiaodai reagierten schnell auf Nachrichten und kümmerten sich um Notfälle. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Hotel bietet einen kostenlosen Transfer vom und zum Flughafen. Es liegt direkt neben dem Nachtmarkt, ist aber nachts absolut ruhig und sehr leise.

Das Gefühl der Träume, das Gefühl der Wüste ist großartig! Die Wohnung im Wüsten ist zunächst die Landschaft. Die Landschaft der Wüste und der Berge ist nicht zu sagen. Obwohl sie unter den Fußen des Berges gesagt wird, ist es immer noch ein Gedankenschild. Es ist auch sehr gut, die freien Orte zu fotografieren, die uns geleitet haben, wie man den Sternenraum zu fotografieren und die Mobiltelefonunterstützung zu bieten, toll ps. Wir verbrachten drei Nächte in Dunhuang. Das gesamte B&B ist rustikal und frisch eingerichtet, mit Wasser, Bambus, Katzen und Hunden. Die Kinder waren begeistert. Die Zimmer sind recht groß, und für Autofahrer gibt es gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Es ist nicht weit vom Mingsha-Berg, dem Halbmondsee, dem Dunhuang-Museum und den Mogao-Grotten entfernt. Das Frühstück war zwar nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber Nudeln, Porridge, Dampfbrötchen, Blumenrollen, Beilagen, Mais, Eier und Obst waren mehr als ausreichend und schmeckten gut. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die Bedienung war etwas laut … Der größte Nachteil waren die schlechten sanitären Anlagen mit vielen Fliegen. Die Snack- und Kaffeeecke an der Rezeption wäre zwar ein Pluspunkt gewesen, aber die Fliegen waren ziemlich lästig. Das Wasser war warm und kalt, und das Badezimmer hatte keinen Trocken-/Nassbereich, sodass es nach dem Duschen ziemlich rutschig war. Vorsicht ist also geboten. Am Eingang des B&B befindet sich eine Plattform, die nicht sehr auffällig ist. Ich bin gestürzt, und auch das ist ein Punkt, auf den man achten sollte. Vielleicht könnte der Besitzer mehr Blumentöpfe oder ähnliches auf den ebenen Boden stellen.

Das Gesamtgefühl ist sehr gut, die Unterkunftsbedingungen und die Umgebung sind sehr gut. Nachts kann ich mit guten Freunden die Abendbrise genießen und im kleinen Innenhof über Ideale und die Zukunft plaudern Glücklich. Ich kam aus Shaanxi und hatte vor, zum Phoenix Legend-Konzert zu gehen. Ich habe im Internet gesehen, dass die Umgebung sehr gut ist. A comfortable place staying here in the Homestay, and we arrived very early in the morning - the owner was very willing to receive us though, and get us into our room. After some travelling time by train from Zhangye to Dunhuang, it was a welcoming comfort indeed to be in the Homestay. We took the family room with courtyard and the accommodation comes along with two bedrooms for the children, and a curtain partitioned space/room for us, the parents. It's large enough and comfortable for the four of us. The other plus thing about the Homestay is that, it's very near the Mingshan Mountain & Crescent Lake Park - just a walking distance; the tickets allowed you multiple entries into the Park within 03 days and the Homestay being nearby - you indeed can enter the Park on different days within that 03 days grace period We were fortunate that we came during the off peak, and so the Park and Homestay were not crowded at all. Would we come and stay again in the Homestay? YES - because we love the off peak quiet, and private time here. Would we recommend others to stay here? For off peak time, we certainly say a resounding YES too!! You can pluck the jujube fruits (Chinese Apples) and pears at the courtyard - it gives a feel of your own rustic home, away from the noise & crowd of the nearby Mingshan Mountain & crescent Lake Park. Ausstattung: Alles was man braucht ist da. Sehr sauber und komfortabel. Hygiene: Der Chef macht die Reinigung selbst. Wenn Sie etwas brauchen, können Sie den Chef fragen. Umgebung: Es liegt ganz in der Nähe des Hochgeschwindigkeitsbahnhofs und des Flughafens. Es ist ziemlich ruhig und praktisch zum Reisen. Service: Sie können das von der Mutter der Besitzerin zu Hause angebaute Gemüse bestellen und im Laden essen. Auch Trauben, Wassermelonen und rote Datteln aus dem eigenen Anbau werden geschenkt. Dies ist mein erster Aufenthalt in einem Hotel mit perfekter Bewertung

The Donhuang Island Guesthouse is located in a rather nondescript building but in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the middle entrance of the Mingsha mountain on a fairly quiet side street. The Guesthouse is surrounded by eateries.and has camels walking past the front of the property in mornings and evenings on their way from and to work.The Guesthouse has an easy location to catch a taxi as it's nearby an intersection with lots of taxis available. It's important to understand that this property is not located in downtown which is probably part of it's charm. A taxi will cost 35 yuan from the train station or Mongua Caves. Going to the night market which is 5 kilometres away will cost you 11 yuan by regular taxi. The Donhuang Island gueshouse offers simple but smartly furnished rooms. The beds are good, the shower is hot and the air-conditioning is cold. But what makes this guesthouse truly stand out is the remarkable hospitality from the owner and his whole team. Hahan the golden retriever from the property across the road comes by on a frequent visit and is the centre of attention. It was a pleasure to stay here. The only minus is; how much I hate the disposable towels but that is just a minor thing amid all the positivity.
