We stayed at the Jumeirah for our Umrah trip. Our room was fantastic but we were so appalled by the dining service and quality of food. At breakfast, the service is terrible. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful and the people behind the live food stations need to smile like the gentleman on the egg station. I asked 5 times for a karak chai from the start of entering the breakfast until the end; I was there for 1.5 hours and every single person I asked was unable to get me the karak. They kept ignoring and disappearing. In the end I had to remind the waiters how long I had been waiting only to be told it had run out. I was waiting for a very long time just to be told this! In the end someone did get me the karak but it was so hard to just ask for something so simple. Also every day at breakfast the tables are not set out with the cuttlery and napkins missing. Every time I ask someone for some cutlery as there isn’t any on the table and it doesn’t get replaced but again we are always ignored and have many times helped ourselves to cutlery from other tables or the station where staff store the cutlery. We got very tired of the service here and it definitely doesn’t live up to the standards of other 5 star hotels (except the hotel and room itself). The staff are very unhelpful and the kitchen staff are awful. Having come from a hospitality background, there needs to be more structure in your kitchen and managers need to stop prioritising specific tables. All guests should be treated the same. We came to the buffet dinner and we’re looking forward to a lovely meal however the food was absolutely awful quality. The lamb shoulder was so over cooked and dry. We have never tasted anything quite like it. I have attached a picture to show the quality. It was inedible. There were literally no staff at any of the service stations. We wanted some of the grilled meat and chicken and we had searched for someone to serve it to us and he took one handful of it and put it on our plates. That is not an adequate protein portion. The portion was enough to fit a tablespoon of meat. The options were so poor. Again, no table service and no napkins and cutlery. We had to keep asking for things that should have been there. We didn’t even have water bottles and the table next to us had 5 water bottles for 2 people. We were really looking forward to the dinner but it was the worst buffet we have been to for a five star hotel. Nothing was fresh and the dessert selection was terrible too. Definitely nothing 5 star about it. The pastry was old and stale and very sweet without any flavour. It’s such a shame at such a high price which does not reflect any quality at all. We were so disappointed with the stay. We were hoping to return later this year with our family but we will have to find another hotel as this is hotel is not at the standard to bring our family to. Your location, decor, room size are amazing but your customer service and quality of food really lets you down. It is such a shame as we were really looking forward to staying here again. Wir kamen circa um 10:00 Uhr im Hotel an. Checki in war aber um 16:00 Uhr. circa um 12:00 Uhr haben wir unser Zimmer erhalten. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Als wir im Zimmer betraten roch es nach Nikotin.  Wir sprachen es an der Rezeption an. Uns  wurde sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Der Shuttle Service 30 Minuten warperfekt. Wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht. Wir waren über zehn Tage im Hotel und haben zweimal das offene Buffet genutzt. Das kann ich mit gut beurteilen.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel. Wanderweite bis zum Tor 79 (10 Minuten), was direkt zum Kaaba führt. Es gibt zwei Turms, 1 & 2, beide haben ein tolles Frühstück. Es gibt zwei Restaurants in Turm 2. Es gibt einen Kaffee, der Geburtstagsküche machen kann, wenn Sie so wünschen. Es gibt ein schönes Gebetszimmer im Hotel. Ich empfehle dieses Hotel sehr.

Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, weil ich schon einmal gelebt habe, also weiß ich, dass es nicht so gut ist wie zuvor, die Zimmer sind sauber und die Kellner sind gut, aber die Bar ist wirklich schwer zu kommunizieren, kann ich ernsthaft Englisch lernen? Ich habe das Gefühl, sie verstehen nicht, wenn du dich beeilst hahaha

I had the pleasure of staying at Violet Hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and I wanted to share my experience with everyone considering a trip to this holy city. The view from my room offered a beautiful sight of the surroundings, providing a serene feel which added to my spiritual journey. The staff at Violet Hotel deserve special mention. From the moment I checked in, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The concierge service was particularly helpful in assisting me with local transportation and offering advice on places to visit. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. I appreciated the modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and a fully-stocked minibar. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to get some much-needed rest after long days of prayers and exploration. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring the room was spotless each day. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, from local Saudi dishes to international fare, all prepared with fresh ingredients. I also dined at the in-house restaurant for dinner a couple of times, and the meals were absolutely delightful. In terms of facilities, the Violet Hotel offers several amenities that enhance the guest experience. There is a well-equipped fitness center, which I found extremely beneficial to keep up with my exercise routine. The business center also came in handy as I needed to catch up on some work during my stay. Overall, my experience at Violet Hotel was exceptional. Whether you are visiting Makkah for a spiritual pilgrimage or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying here. The combination of its prime location, excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and fantastic dining options make it a great choice for any traveler.

Sehr schönes Hotel, gute Lage. Und alle Mitarbeiter sind wirklich hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war auch super, es gibt viele lokale und internationale Gerichte. Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel, wenn Sie Umrah durchführen möchten, da es sehr nah am Haram liegt. Sie können einfach vom Hotel zum Haram laufen, und das in nur 5 Minuten.

The room was never cleaned unless requested. It seems they do it on purpose because they want a tip. The five of us stayed there for five days, and for the last two days, we didn't request any cleaning, resulting in the trash piling up, which we just placed in front of the room

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt mit meiner Familie. Ganz in der Nähe des Haram und es gibt ein Einkaufszentrum, das mit dem Hotel verbunden ist. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Saubere Zimmer, aber der Service war langsam. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Hotel good but I was expecting a better breakfast where beef , fish , chicken would be offered, and not just sausage. The Hilton and Doubletree in south east Asia are much better in terms of choice and meat/chicken availability : rendang, roasted chicken , steamed fish etc. Also , too much salt are found in many meals, that is so sad. Stop putting excess salt , customers can always add more themselves. WiFi could be much better to connect and having decent speed. I had to complaint about it and was given a code. I came for my umrah , so spiritually I was my too much affected for being in a double tree that has drop its standard I used to in other double tree and Hilton hotels. Also a razor could not be provided , unlike many other hotels that provided me one.
