The room was okay, but the carpet wasn't clean. I wore my white socks, and they got dirty pretty quickly. The room had a distinctive smell. I had to put my AC full on.

At this place it’s very good 4 star hotel.. location is excellent in new Digha. Staff is good and for children there is play park and some birds and small animals to see like zoo. Overall it’s good experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Newtown City, Kolkata with my mother and my son. The amenities and overall environment were excellent, very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Everything was well managed and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

A flawless experience. Incredibly luxurious stay at a great price for a business traveler. Excellent English skills by everyone. Room serve was prompt, even though I didn't order until almost midnight. Nawab, the *** helping with cars, was a truly phenomenal help. He called my ride and made sure my trip went smoothly, and got me and the car loaded up and on my way.

Das Hotelpersonal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und modern. Die Lage ist sehr zentraler, genügend nahe zum Flughafen und auch zum Stadtzentrum. Die einzige Frage, die ich habe, ist, dass sie nicht zulassen, dass die AC unter 21° gehen und in der Nacht es würde heiß im Zimmer, fragte ich den Vordertisch und sie sagten mir, es war allgemeine Standards. Anderen dann, dass der Aufenthalt war eine absolute Freude und das Frühstücksmenü war gut.

Ibis Kolkata Rajarhat bietet eine bequeme Lage und saubere, kompakte Zimmer mit freundlicher Service. We checked -in the hotel on Saturday night .. there are 2 club that’s very noisy inside the Hotel premises … the music was very (extra) loud (no soundproof walls )although our room was on 4th floor still it was not helpful in anyway the music ended at 4.00 am (both on Saturday /Sunday) it was very bad experience staying at the property .

The hotel provided a good base to explore Kolkata. Away from the chaotic old city, and close enough to take Uber to get around. Loved the breakfast, especially being able to have idli, cafe and uppuma for breakfast and non spicy Sambar to go with it. It also has enough water supply such that I didn’t need to buy water at all. We walked to the axis mall nearby for grocery shopping and fast food. Since the attractions are scattered across the city anyway, we took uber to town for approximately 330 Rupees per trip. Self laundry was free too. I would definitely come back, especially once the metro nearby has completed. The only negative is the loud music coming from Novotel next door when there are weddings and parties. Perfect otherwise.

I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement.
To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay.
The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations.
One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling.
However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point.
The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience.
In conclusion, Kenilworth Hotel offers a reliable and comfortable stay with the added benefit of a good location and useful amenities like the gym. However, the lackluster food options—especially in the set dinner menu—stand out as an area that needs improvement. With a little more attention to dining and guest preferences, the hotel could elevate its overall appeal. For now, I would consider it a decent option for short stays, especially if dining isn’t your top priority.

GGastnutzerDas Hotel war sauber und schön. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frau Kusum war sehr nett und professionell und hat sogar das Zimmer entsprechend unseren Bedürfnissen geändert. Das Frühstück war mit guter Verbreitung wie üblich für JW-Standards. Nur Rückkehr, zu viele Gäste. Während des Frühstücks und der Lobbys wurden durch Hochzeiten und Veranstaltungen mit Menschen gefüllt. Andernfalls waren Service, Einrichtungen und Pool-Gebiete alle schön. Zufrieden, Keine Bedauern

SShree Vardhan MundhraCheck-in war reibungslos und schnell. Ich wurde in mein Zimmer begleitet. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet, sauber und Hauspflege machte eine gute Arbeit. Das Hotel kümmerte sich um eine Frage mit leicht fehlgeschlagenen Badfächern auch. Insgesamt, ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Der Preis, der auf Trip.com zitiert wurde, war etwa 40% höher als der Preis, der direkt vom Hotel für die gleiche Zimmerkategorie und Aufenthaltsdaten angeboten wurde. Dieser Unterschied ist beträchtlich und ehrlich gesagt unerwartet, vor allem angesichts der Tatsache, dass ich ein Diamantmitglied mit Ihrer Plattform bin.
Als geschätzter Mitglied erwartet ich von Trip.com, dass er wettbewerbsfähige oder Präferenzsätze anbietet, die nicht höher sind als das, was das Eigentum selbst anbietet. Ich bitte um eine Überprüfung dieser Preisunkonsistenz und eine Erklärung darüber, wie eine solche große Variation stattgefunden hat.

GgerardVery friendly staff and good location. Although 3 stars is a bit high. It is rather 2,5 stars. Breakfast was a good start of the day, continental and Indian. Room was small and old, ac noisy. But who cares; you don’t go to Kolkata to stay in your room. On the roof was a terrace where you can eat and drink. All in all great stay. Will definitely come back next time

JJason2023Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.
