Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon.
Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements.
Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. GGastnutzerI stayed at Melia with my family and from check in to check out we had a fantastic stay. Most of the staff were really obliging and helpful with a special note to Coe and her team in the Market Restaurant who ensured our breakfasts meals were always comfortable and our needs catered for. The hotel is situated near the picturesque Inya Lake and we had a Lake view room which made the morning wake up extra special. Melia is also next door to the Myanmar Plaza mall where there are plenty of shops, including a super market and the top floor has an extensive food court. Though if you wished to stay and eat at the hotel there are a number of restaurants in the hotel serving outstanding dishes. For the amenities there are a number of bars and a lounge on the top floor - though this is only available to those who have a specific room. During our stay we also made use of the swimming pool and the gym. Both very clean and well maintained with the gym having a good variety of equipment and fresh towels and water to hand. Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and should we return to Yangon, Melia is a place we would certainly consider staying at again.

MMensoreeeI came to test out this hotel for a future vacation. It is the most expensive luxurious hotel in the country. I can swear by that. Youre greeted by a welcome drink the minute you enter. I really enjoyed my stay here as there is a personal butler on call 24/7 and she brings bright smiles and complimentary tea and coffees. I was served by khoon and thae thae whom were both very professional and attentive. It was my first experience with a butler. Definitely a memorable one. The suites are massive and though you can’t expect pristine cleanliness due to the buildings age, i did not notice any dirt anywhere except for the outside of the windows.

ZZmeyerDas alte Luxushotel - Resort-Stil großes Pool, großes Frühstück, geräumige Zimmer. Sie müssen es renovieren, aber es ist immer noch sehr schön.
Oh, übrigens. Es ist schwer, einige Restaurants in der Nähe zu finden - für jeden Fall vorbereitet für Taxi. Aber sie haben 24h bequeme Lager auf der ersten Etage.
Und - das sehr seltsam für das Hotel dieser Ebene - gab es eine Situation mit exec Lounge. Es war in meiner Buchung, aber sie weigern mir Zugang zu geben: ”Es war ein Fehler in der Zimmerbeschreibung”. Guten, es ist wirklich nicht mein Problem, richtig? Ich war nicht im Stimmung für harte Verhandlungen, also ... Lassen Sie das Carma entscheiden ))) Und sie haben keinen lokalen Shuttlebus (ja, es gibt einen Fehler auf der Hotelseite). Heh )))

RRobbyDie Kantharyar Serviced Apartments gehören zum 5* Hotel Wyndham Grand Yangon. Dementsprechend sind sie luxuriös eingerichtet. Wenn Sie mit Frühstück buchen, steht Ihnen das riesige Buffet des Hotels zur Verfügung. Dasselbe gilt für den Pool- und Fitnessbereich. Wenn wir zu Zweit sind nehme ich immer das Hotel. Bei drei Personen und mehr das Appartement. Einkaufen von Esswaren und Getränke ist im Hausinternen Supermarkt möglich. Alles in Allem sehr empfehlenswert.
