There were 4 of us that traveled to the Acoya Resort in Curacao in April 2024 using Air Canada Vacations. Our pregnant daughter-in-law was one of the 4. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and a rental car at Acoya. The flight out of Toronto was 2 hours late in leaving which impacted our vacation due to late time of arrival. For 2 months prior to the trip, I was speaking with the car rental company to select the vehicle. Be careful with this as the most common rental car is very small and only suitable for 2 people. When we arrived, the airport bus transfer company made us wait in the sun for no good reason while they loaded people going to other resorts. This is usually a first come first seated service. The bus was comfortable with good air conditioning and charging ports on the seat. Check in was quick and easy. The girls at the front desk were helpful and professional. We got to our room which was a bit dated. The kitchen, dining room and living area were all good sizes. Our bedroom was good size but the room for our son and his wife was miniature. So small that they could not open the drawers in their wardrobe because it was right up to the foot of the bed. They could not unpack and had to live out of their suitcase for the week. The biggest problem we had was with the car rental company. After months of exchanging messages and pictures, agreeing on the car and the rates, there was no car available for us when we got there. He said he forgot about us and sent the car out. WHaaattttt!!! After all that, no car. He tried to put the 4 of us and all our gear into a tiny car smaller than a smart car. We argued for over an hour when he finally agreed to put us into an SUV. OMG. This vehicle was filthy, had rotting food in it, garbage inside, half inch of dust and grime, no gas and so dirty outside that you could not see out. We had to clean it ourselves and throw out garbage. Running on fumes, we went to Mambo beach for dinner. This was a pleasant experience. It was already dark so we could not see the beach. We ate at one of the restaurants, tried local dishes and loved them. Food and service were great. The next morning, we crossed our fingers, loaded up our beach gear and headed out. First stop, fill up the gas tank from empty. 10 Minutes into the drive someone driving next to us flagged us over to let us know that the front driver’s side tire was flat. We pulled over in a gas station, by now it was over 30 degrees C. We had on beach wear and were not prepared for what was to come. Flat tire and a filthy car, I called the company. Their response was swift. They sent a repair company to change the tire. Well, well, well. The small spare tire turned out to be rotten when they put it on. It could not be inflated. So now no front tire and no spare. Wait…. It gets worse. So the owner of the rental company comes to meet us. Meanwhile we cannot go into the vehicle, so we are waiting outside in the blazing sun and heat getting burnt. They take the

Nice resort, our family stayed here in Aug 2024. Nice rooms, but rather dark and plain. Rooms were clean and safe. Reception staff were friendly and we had no problems. Parking was available for free in the resort as we had a rental car. Restaurant food was average, the menu was largely pasta, pizza, and hamburgers. There is a main pool in the centre of the resort which is large and clean. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous Jan Thiel beach area. You get a free entry pass from staying at this resort, anyway entry fee is only like 3USD without the pass. You will need a rental car to get to this resort from the airport, or you will have to take a taxi which will likely be upwards of 40USD one way as the ride takes 20 to 30 minutes from the airport. This resort is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the centre of Willemstad, but the proximity to Jan Thiel beach is worth it because there arent any beaches like that in town. Also good to stay near Jan Thiel beach if you are thinking to go to Klien Curacao island because many of the catamarans to that island leave rom Jan Thiel beach

The staff was amazing throughout. A big thank you to Stephany for her attentiveness and assistance. The breakfast staff was extremely lovely. However, the breakfast options need to be increased and should also include local dishes to promote Curacao's culture. The pillows and mattress in the room I stayed in need to be replaced.

Das Hotel bot wirklich alles, was man sich nur wünschen konnte. Angefangen bei den Zimmern. Diese waren wirklich sehr modern gestaltet und alles war pikobello sauber. Obwohl das Hotel sehr viele Zimmer zu haben scheint (den Stockwerken und Zimmernummern nach zu urteilen), hat es sich total verlaufen und man hatte nie das Gefühl, dass es überfüllt wäre. Eher im Gegenteil, man fragte sich des Öfteren, wo die ganzen Leute alle sind. Wir hatten nie Probleme einen Platz im Restaurant oder am Infinity Pool zu erhalten. Wir hatten das All inklusive Paket und hier wird 'all inklusive' wirklich wörtlich genommen. Alles was man sich vorstellen kann, war in dem Paket enthalten. Sogar wirklich hochwertige alkoholische Getränke (was man aus anderen All inklusive Hotels so nicht immer kennt) und sogar alle Getränke und Speisen bei Starbucks (eine Filiale direkt im Hotel in der zweiten Etage und eine in der Mall). Außerdem waren die Softdrinks auch wirklich Markenprodukte aus der Dose und nicht etwa verdünnter Sirup o. ä. Was wirklich hervorzuheben ist, ist das Personal des Hotels. Ausnahmslos alle, mit denen wir während unseres Aufenthaltes zutun hatten (und das waren einige Mitarbeitende), waren so unfassbar herzlich, zuvorkommend und nett. Man konnte sich mit jeder Frage oder Bitte an alle anwesenden Personen wenden und hat immer eine sehr zuvorkommende Antwort erhalten. In den Restaurants wurde stets darauf geachtet, dass man etwas zu trinken hatte und dass leeres Geschirr schnellstens abgeräumt wird. Alle hatten dabei stets ein Lächeln auf dem Gesicht und man konnte auch jeden nach ein paar Tipps zu Ausflügen o. ä. fragen. Am Tag der Abreise mussten wir (wie jeder andere auch) um 12:00 Uhr auschecken. Unser Flug ging aber erst abends um 20:25 Uhr. Somit hatten wir noch einige Stunden bis zu unserer Abreise zu überbrücken. Da wurde uns kurzerhand von einer netten Dame am Empfang angeboten, uns nochmal in der Stadt umzusehen und uns im Anschluss vor unserer Abreise noch einmal in einem Zimmer frisch machen zu können. Das nenne ich wirklich zuvorkommend und gastfreundlich! Wir können das Hotel also in jeglicher Hinsicht weiterempfehlen und werden hoffentlich eines Tages wiederkommen.

Here my honest review..if you are all inclusif or beach hotel of course it is not for you..Hotel new very clean and nice, nice pool, spacious rooms. 6 minute walk to floating bridge easy acces to west point if rent a car..cleaning ladies very nice and respectful..check in in is a breeze if not to many people ladies there almost always alone so do great job..the breakfest is ok to start the day with great service and smiling servers..i seen that perks linked to status like free breakfast or late checkout are not available..the only negative about hotel is lobby bar in evening the waitress mainly stands around talking to bartender..and bartender is lost.. First night we sat waited 20 minutes she never came ask if wanted a drink had walk to bar and wait another 15 minutes to get drinks.. thought was just a bad night so we went back 2 days later was same..

Vorab, um vielleicht besser einschätzen zu können wie ich einige Sachen bewerte, ein paar Worte zu uns. Wir hatten noch nie AI gemacht und wollten es auch nicht. Das Hotel bietet es aber nur an. Dementsprechend musste ich es buchen, wollte ich Hilton treu bleiben. Ich bin Diamond Member bei Hilton, was bedeutet das ich oft - sehr oft um genau zu sein - in Hotels nächtige. Für die nicht so bewanderten bei HHonors: Mindestens 42 Nächte jährlich bei Hilton. Die Begrüßung fand in einem klimatisierten Nebenraum statt, die Diamond und Gold Membern vorbehalten ist und war sehr gut bis außergewöhnlich. Es wurde alles aufs genaueste erklärt und jegliche Frage beantwortet. Insbesondere wurde der Gebäudeteil in dem das Zimmer lag auf dem Lageplan gezeigt und der Blick auf Meer und Pool beschrieben. Dieses Zimmer wurde nicht nur einfach zugewiesen, sondern angeblich sogar eigens vor Anreise morgens ausgewählt. Dazu gab es eine WhatsApp Nummer für jegliche Fragen oder Hilfestellungen der Gästbetreuung. Einziges Manko zu diesem Zeitpunkt war, dass dort kein Check-in möglich ist und es daher auch keine Zimmerkarten gab. Es muss dafür der „normale“ Check-in an der Rezeption durchlaufen werden. Etwas unverständlich - aber es gibt schlimmeres. Bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt alles perfekt - aber leider nur bis hier, denn ab jetzt kommt die Rezeption ins Spiel und wir vergessen einmal jegliche vorherigen Versprechungen. Das letztlich zugewiesene Zimmer hatte einen tollen Blick auf eine hohe weiße Wand in ca. 20 Meter Entfernung, die sich unmittelbar vor einer Großbaustelle befand, auf der morgens um 06.30 die Baumaschinen angestellt werden. Fabelhaft! Das Zimmer war grundsätzlich in Ordnung aber die Lage unterirdisch. Verwundert war ich allenfalls davon, dass das Hotel erst am 01.07.2020 eröffnete - das hätte ich beim vorgefunden Zustand einiger Einrichtungen nicht erwartet. Liegt aber wahrscheinlich an Gästen unter Alkoholeinfluss. An das zuvor angepriesene und angeblich reservierte ausgewählte Zimmer konnte sich weder die Rezeption noch die Göstebetreuung erinnern. Die Frage was damit passierte wurde nicht einmal mehr beantwortet. Die Nachfrage per WhatsApp wurde 2 Tage nicht einmal gelesen. Liebes Mangrove Team: Versprecht doch bitte nichts was ihr nicht einmal ansatzweise einhaltet. Etwas schlimmeres als das gibt es nicht. Ich habe auch für ausgebuchte Hotels Verständnis und erwarte dann wirklich auch trotz Status gar nichts. Aber so? Sehr enttäuschend. Ich bin als Diamond Member gewohnt, dass meine Begleitung stets gratis die identischen Leistungen erhält, sofern sie mit mir zusammen reist und ich über Hilton buche, daher hatte ich wie in den letzten Jahren gewohnt, nur für mich gebucht. Dieses ist hier im Hotel scheinbar nicht der Fall. Liegt vermutlich an AI und wurde vom Hotel auch gleich sportlich ausgenutzt mit 125$ Aufpreis zusätzlich. Bei einer direkten Buchung hätte es mich täglich nur 70$ gekostet. Der Vorteil „Honors Another Night“ bei mehr als 6

Sehr schönes Hotel. Wir waren das erste mal auf der Insel Curacao. Wir müssen wirklich sagen sehr schöne Strände, Restaurants und Bars. Das Hotel hat uns super gut gefallen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Besonderen Dank geht an Yasin und Merve.

Lindo resort. Quarto bem amplo, linda vista para o mar. Piscinas maravilhosas, praia pé-na-areia e muito boa. Ótima localização. Há um hipermercado próximo (aproximadamente, 3 Km - Carrefour). Há uma galeria com várias lojas junto ao Carrefour. O resort Marriott Curaçao tem um bom estacionamento e fácil acesso às praias do norte da ilha, bem como aos bairros Otrobanda e Punda. Eu e minha esposa amamos o resort e Curaçao.
