Wir waren jetzt schon das zweite Mal im Papagayo und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Das Hotel hat eine Traum Lage direkt am Stand und Zugang zu Jan Thiel beach. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück kann man entweder direkt mit Blick aufs Meer vom Buffet oder a la carte im Resort genießen. Für jeden was dabei. Direkt am Hotel findet man ein top ausgestattetes Fitnessstudio, einen Supermarkt, Autoverleih und vieles Mehr Die ideala Ausgangsbasis für einen tollen Aufenthalt auf curacao.

Leider Zwangsaufenthalt durch Flugausfall. KLM bestellt 5 Zimmer und schickt 70 Leute. Das geht nicht. Aber das Management hat sich entschieden die Leute unterzubringen. Damit hat sie die Verantwortung übernommen. In dem Moment sollte man die Leute als Gäste willkommen heißen und nicht stundenlang als Nummern im Foyer warten lassen. Das ist den Namen Hilton nicht würdig. Man hätte das Gepäck in die Kofferbox abstellen können, die KLM Voucher einsammeln und den Gästen das AI Band geben können und sie im Restaurant warten lassen können. Das wäre menschlich gewesen. Den Baulärm von neben an kann man sicher mit größeren Alkoholmengen bekämpfen. Der künstliche Strand ist ganz nett aber der Meerblick kann auch mal von einem Kreuzfahrer versperrt sein. Die ausgewiesenen Preise entsprechen nicht dem Gegenwert. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig, die Klimaanlage schaltete sich nachts von alleine ein, obwohl komplett ausgeschaltet. Die Lüftung ist laut. Für ein Hotel dieser Einstufung nicht akzeptabel. Im Frühstücksraum sitzen die Tauben auf den Tischen und fressen die Reste und kacken auf den Tisch. Nicht sehr angenehm. Deshalb insgesamt die schlechte Bewertung. Aber der größte Unsinn ist die Gestaltung der Rezeption. Ich habe viele Länder bereist und in vielen Hotels übernachtet,aber eine Rezeption wo die Mitarbeiter so weit unten sitzen habe ich noch nie gesehen. Die Sitze davor sind für Kinder gut, aber nicht für einen 2m Mann. Da ist es Qual. So eine unvorteilhafte Rezeption ohne schönen Tresen ist echt ein Witz. Wer kommt auf so einen Quatsch. Es gibt noch viel Verbesserungsbedarf. Ich habe vor vielen Jahren selbst eine Zeit in einem 5 Sterne Hotel gearbeitet und kenne das Hotelwesen. Jeder Gast sollte als willkommen behandelt werden

Zweites Aufenthalt im Hotel ist die allgemeine Umgebung gut, aber die hygienische Reinigung des Zimmers ist nicht zufriedenstellend. Viele Gäste haben das Zimmer für 2 Tage nicht geregelt und gereinigt. Das Frühstück ist noch zu bestätigen. Der Rezeptionservice ist auch sehr gut. Die Meereslandschaft und die Gartenlandschaft sind sehr schön.

Wir reservierten das Hotel aus 2 Hauptgründen ...1. seine Nähe zu den 10/10 Festen in der Innenstadt und dem Oscar d'Leon Konzert am 9. Oktober 2023 und 2. Feier meines Geburtstags am 10/10/2023. Das Zimmer wurde zwar nicht standardisiert, aber auch für den Geburtstag wurde vom Hotelpersonal dekoriert. Das Personal ist sehr auf die Gäste und besonderen Anfragen aufmerksam. Besondere Regelungen wurden für den vorübergehenden Zugang von Freunden und Familien getroffen, die mich am 9. und 10. Oktober 2023 besucht haben. Es ist ein typisches kleines Mittelstadthotel mit der Möglichkeit, Spaziergänge und Besuch der Restaurants in der Innenstadt/Punda zu machen. Es gibt immer noch Anzeichen von Arbeit in Progress. Cascade (Dachbar und Pool) ist eine sehr einzigartige Erfahrung in der Innenstadt. Parkplatz für Hotelgäste mit dem angrenzenden Pietermai Parkplatz ist auch eine sehr wichtige Vergnügung für Kunden mit Transport. Alles in allem eine sehr glückliche und interessante Erfahrung .........

Super Hotel mit extrem aufmerksamen und super freundlichen Personal. Stadtzentrum ist fussläufig erreichbar. Klasse Restaurants auch in direkter Umgebung, wenn man dieses tolle Hotel mal für ein paar Minuten verlassen möchte. Essen im Hotel ist auch sehr gut Die beiden Hotel Strände sind extraklasse. Und das Hotel hat einen ganz kompetenten und hilfsbereiten Manager.

My family and I spent 5 days at The Rif for spring break. The grounds are immaculate, great location. We spent most of the time at the pool at the sister location because the one at the Rif was a bit deep for my daughter. We had an excellent time. Location: Great. Ocean and beach was beautiful. Nice water slides for the kids. Room: Room was good. Enough room for the 3 Of us. We had the ocean/cruise ship view. I wish the top levels of the resort were open (still under construction); the views would’ve been much better being able to really look at the ocean. We were on the 2nd floor. Our housekeeper didn’t do the best job. When we checked into our room, there was a stain on the bathroom floor. I just took a wipe from my purse and cleaned it. That set The precedent for my daily housekeeping. The housekeeper changed the towels, most of the time not leaving a shower rug, emptied the trash can and made the bed daily. My daughter’s cup of hot chocolate apparently left a chocolate ring on the dresser. The housekeeper took the cup but left the ring. I took clean up wipes that I travel with and cleaned the dresser and table daily myself. I looked in the floor and saw that my daughter dropped her pillow and a few raisinettes on the floor by the chair; they were still on the floor when we returned to our room. Food: Overall the food was good. The BBQ and seafood tavern were outstanding. The Red snapper delicious. The food at the pool was okay, the food in the buffet was okay as well. There were times that we had to wait quite a while for the food to be replenished on the buffet. I love all of the self service beverage and wine stations. Drinks: Because I was with my daughter, the cocktails were okay. However wouldn’t okay be for a girlfriends trip. The cocktails were weak and watered down. Unless you go to the smoothie bar, get a frozen smoothie and have them to add a double shot of liquor. Not that I would want to be drunk but maybe a little buzz. But nope that didn’t happen. Also there’s little to no pool service. Occasionally a guy walks around and asks if you want pop but that’s it. If you want a cocktail, get up and get it yourself. Even having a cabana, there’s really no service. Service: Most of the people were friendly and happy. The front desk staff, Raju at the omelette station, the 2 ladies that made my daughter hot chocolate in Mondi’s were outstanding. There were a few of the employees that had scowls on their face and didn’t seem happy to even be there. But that was just a few. Entertainment: Not much resort entertainment. Maybe about 40 minutes at the Mangrove pool And music. The entertainment at night was minimal. If you’re looking for laid back and kid friendly; this is the resort . It’s definitely not for those that want to ‘turn up’.
