I stayed here with my friend and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the peace and quiet and stunning location. Their philosophy on sustainability is far reaching as is their attention to detail. All staff were very attentive and helpful especially our butler Thiloka. He took care of everything including room service, a walk through the rice paddies to a nearby lake and village and was always on hand at meal times with a comprehensive knowledge of the food along with impeccable service. The swimming pool was long enough for laps but also had plenty of room for relaxation. The view from it over the rice paddies to the nearby mountain range was magnificent. Every meal was an experience. All ingredients were locally sourced and natural, in season and interesting. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We had numerous massages and treatments at the spa including a chocolate body scrub. Glorious. The extra experiences such as bird watching enabled a better understanding of the wildlife. Kingfishers, hornbills, bee catchers and prolific peacocks were a joy along with traditional farmers’ meals in the mud hut in the vegetable garden.
