Our group of 15 stayed here for one night after being in Honduras all week. We had been staying at a compound hours from San Pedro, so when we arrived here, it was very nice to walk into a beautiful lobby. We were greeted by several bellhops to take our luggage , and they were very attentive and friendly. The lobby is very spacious, and relaxing. The artwork is wonderful, and they are constantly playing soft American music. The pool area is very nice and well set up. Beside the pool is the steak and lobster restaurant (which is rated as the #1 restaurant in San Pedro). Beside it is the hotel restaurant. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. It is almost a buffet style, but you can also order food. The room we stayed in was nice. It was not the nicest room we have ever stayed in, but after the week we had, it was very nice. The showers were really nice. The room could use a slight upgrade for a few things, but overall, bc of the friendliness of the staff, the lovely lobby area, and it was very quiet, I gave it 5 stars. We felt very safe and taken care of while here.

Watching the hotel staff ensure the functioning of the Intercontinental San Pedro Sula’s rooms, spa, gym and three restaurants/bar, is exhausting. A lot of work goes into maintaining the various functions of this aging and comparatively large property. With that said, the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff were the highlight of my two-week stay here. Unfortunately, the same staff accolades cannot be given to the management/ownership of this property. Aloof and not customer service oriented, the management at this hotel (and owner) clearly fall short. For one, the decision to allow construction in and around the restaurant area during dinner time was a poor one. If the hotel had a theme song, it would surely be the sound of seemingly endless construction (this hotel does, indeed, feel like it is constantly being renovated). Each of my dinners (and lunches) were impacted by the noisy construction taking place at the most inopportune times possible. Additionally, I would encourage management to reconsider its strategy with the Executive/Club floor. I stayed on the Executive Floor, which, theoretically afforded certain benefits; many of which were inconsistently available - namely availability of the Club Lounge for breakfast and afternoon/evening snacks. The lounge was often not available for either - perhaps because of a lack of guests (?). In any case, this is an easy way to reduce the value of these room upgrades and I would strongly encourage anyone who chooses to stay here from opting for Executive level rooms. Rooms were standard and kept clean. The Intercontinental San Pedro Sula is probably one of the best options in town, but it could - and indeed should - be so much better.

Worst experience ever. I reserved a junior suite. It was right next to the elevator. Loud! Room was hot. Air con not working. Went downstairs to change the room and they refused. Asked to talk to the manager. Refused. Asked to move to another hotel and refund money. Refused. Nightmare. Don’t stay here!

Clean hotel & staff very nice! Was in town for business for one night and was able to have a clean and restful experience at this hotel. The pool area is lovely now that the renovations are complete. There is an outdoor bar and comfortable seating around the pool. The staff is always incredibly professional at the hotel and restaurant. They work really hard to ensure you have a nice stay. If you’re looking for a quick and clean stay in San Pedro Sula, I would recommend this hotel! Happy travels!

After 2 days travelling, I arrived at approximately 3 am at the hotel. Check in was fast. I went to my room, unpacked, and when I adjusted the air conditioning in my room I noticed it was not working. I called front desk and they sent a maintenance person to my room who did not solve the problem. So now, I was extremely exhausted and in a sauna. Completely disgraceful experience. Did not sleep. Left after 4 hours. Nobody cared. Never again!

Worthless!! Horrible!!!!!! Ripoff!!!!!!!!!!!! I stayed in the Presidential Suite for my honeymoon. American Express booked the room for me. The hotel was informed that this was my honeymoon. There was nothing in my room to welcome my wife and I for our honeymoon. The minibar was empty. There was only one robe in the closet. There was no doorman when I arrived and when I left the hotel. I ordered a steak for dinner. I was told we do not have any steak. I called for room service and was told the menu is on the TV. I checked here was none. I called to the front desk and the sent a person to check and she confirmed there was no menu on the TV. She said she would bring me a menu. We waited 15 minutes for her to return. We ordered the exact same breakfast both mornings and on the second morning the breakfast was different. I called the main hotel number to explain all of this. They offered the following compensation - you can join our hotel club and we will give you 20,000 points for a free night. I told her i don't want to join your club. I called the hotel manager and explained everything. She offered me nothing. Later that day I checked my credit card and was changed $200 for nothing! I called the hotel, asked to speak to the manager and the women put me on hold. I am on hold not 12:48 seconds. INCREDIBLE! HORRIBLE!!
