The owner took a very irate, hostile attitude towards me and my brother. His body language indicated he was even ready to become physical at some point. My brother had gone from the pool into the bar to replace a warm beer (due to hot weather) and offered as well to purchase an extra one, as a good gesture. The owner (as we have learnt subsequently), has told my brother to wear a T-shirt when he comes into the bar. You see, this alone isn’t sufficient to write a review, however, one should have seen and heard him at the time. His body language, almost ready to get physical, his tone, the malice in his eyes, put him off in an instant. I also approached the bar (also not wearing a T-shirt, however, unaware at the time of the requirement), and he commanded the same message. I took in an instant offence with the way he told me, not even asked me. The way he looked at me, was akin to a soldier looking at a prisoner, without mercy, with a need to quash him. When we left for lunch (mind you, we had booked the whole day at the pool), I felt the need to address the hostility the owner produced. I asked his name to which he replied: ‘I don’t know’. Following this response, it was sufficient to understand that he was holding something against us, but what? I extended another question as to whether he was the owner, to which he replied: ‘why do you ask?’, further abruptly ending my questions with ‘I don’t know who the owner is’. I thought, someone that works in the bar professes a very hostile attitude towards some customers that he first met. I then realised that his attitude with locals, i.e., Italians, was very friendly, and with us, the foreigners/tourists, it was not. At all! I proceed to tell his that the way he had addressed to us it’s very uncommon in a civilised conversation and instead to have asked us (at the time, it felt bizarre to be told this; we did not go to the bar like this on purpose). I said to him I will leave a Google review, to which he angrily said, ‘if you do it, I won’t let you go anymore to the pool!’ So it must have been the owner, since he held that authority. I then took out the phone and took a photo of him and said that I will post it regardless. He then said he will call the police, if I don’t leave. I was absolutely gobsmacked, as he was literally banishing for respecting myself as a customer. As I was leaving, he kept following me. At this point, I felt he was about to get physical with me. I did not give him the opportunity and left. He simulated a situation where he led us address it (in a civilised manner) only to tell us to leave. I held a civilised conversation without making any rude gestures nor threats and still could not understand what led him to behave like this. His complete, genuine lack of hospitality could only indicate something else: that he is RACIST, holding a secrete, silent discriminatory attitude towards foreigners. I tried to explain myself, why on Earth is someone that I never met, treated
