Terlingua Nights Cabins

Our tiny "cabin" was around 8'x10,' maybe smaller. It's basicallyba garden shed. Clean. Affordable. Good location. Mini frig. Horrible, cheap, loud, crinkly plastic cover on mattress. Impossible to sleep on. The shared bathrooms (2) are in a separate building. Water is non-potable. Toilet paper is not allowed to be flushed. Keep in mind, we usually live on a boat, we are accustomed to conserving water. We make our own clean RO water and can use our facilities normally. If we can do that 100 miles from land, pretty sure Terlingua should be able to provide adequate plumbing services. Non-potable water was not a good surprise. We booked 3 nights but left after 2. Our last night there were two families trying to check in at about 8pm. They were locked out and couldn't reach anyone on the phone. The owner has not verified their gmail address and therefore communication goes to your spam folder. Text messages and emails were not returned. The photographer and website designer should be congratulated.

It is by the highway so noisy at times. The one bathroom stinks. The rooms are small but comfortable.

You could not tell from the website or ads that cabins were without an attached bathroom - quite a surprise. Very cramped quarters. Couldn't figure out how to turn on heater until we called owner. Least pleasant stay on our vacation.
