Pension Liechtenstein

It is important to note this is a Pension not a Hotel. Budget class but not budget price. It is Vienna so all prices are high.Staff friendly and helpful. Big let down on the bathroom, Raised shower pan, no hand rails so difficult to get in and out. Staff provided a bathmat to put in the shower. No rubber mat available. Room was fine though we had no fridge. There was a cold drinks machine in communal dining area but the hot drinks machine was not working. Great public transport system. Restaurants pricey but some excellent take-aways. A university city the students were very helpful and all spoke English. Older residents were not so magnanimous and we were told this was to be expected. Great architecture

I’m sorry to have to say that this was nothing like a hotel at all in my opinion. I’m even more sorry to say that *********** weren’t interested in the issues raised and have ignored my messages trying to alert them to my concerns for sole female visitors. I was travelling on my own and when I arrived at the property I was confronted by an old dark empty building with a lady at the desk who told me she was about to leave for the evening and that the hotel would be unmanned overnight. I’ve never felt like this at a *********** property before (I’ve been using them for many years) but something just didn’t feel right. It was deadly quiet, there were no lights on in the hallways, no other people, no staff, no cleaners, no guests - nobody. The corridors were echoey and I began to feel extremely nervous at being left there on my own overnight. Whats more, to access the property from the street you have to walk through an isolated alleyway with various doors off it, then through an isolated bike park and finally through a main door which takes you to the empty building. I would be coming home late in the evening and with nobody else around it just wasn’t an option for me to stay. I explained to the lady at the desk that I felt very nervous about staying in the building without anyone else around and that I didn’t want to stay - I apologied for feeling this way. She gave me a very well rehearsed terms and conditions speech which was unsympathetic and robotic and made me think this was not the first time she had to deliver this dialogue. Basically, I would have to pay the full €214 for my 2 night stay. I decided not to argue but in putting my safety first I paid the money, took the keys and started calling the local hotels (real hotels) for availability. I found a lovely 3 star acccomodation that was very welcoming, provided a hot breakfast, warm room, various staff with the desk manned 24 hours a day and I was immediately relieved. The next morning I went back to Pension Liechtenstein to give my keys back and said I wouldn’t be staying. The same lady tried to say she’d undercharged me by €10 which she asked me to pay… I’ve honestly never known anything like this. So please do be aware, this does not feel like a safe place to be if you are on your own. I’m also extremely suspicious of the reviews which make this property sound vibrant, lively, friendly and a really good option. It was absolutely not. I’m just sorry that *********** were not willing to investigate my concerns any further than telling me they’d called the hotel who had put their mind at rest. If you’re thinking about booking, it’s probably best to compare against a few other sites and read their reviews as well.

quizas la calificacion deberia ser BUENO. esta muy bien ubicada. buen precio. la forma de llegar un poco complicada porque tienen declarada una direccion que no es asi que llegue de casualidad. la pareja que atiende son orientales. la mujer hablaba ingles. el marido muy poco asi que fue dificil por momentos comunicarse. la limpieza regular (el baño tenia olor). pero nada grave. estaba ordenado y prolijo. tenia pava electrica, indispensable. ducha perfecta. descanso muy bien. lugar silencioso. chiquito pero suficiente. lo que sí creo q es increible es que no haya un microondas disponible. habia una cocina pero la cerraban al irse (solo podian usarla ellos). asi que yo q no suelo comer en restaurants me complico un poco que no hubiese forma de calentar una comida comprada. fuera de eso estuvo bien.

Pensione carina, nelle vicinanze del centro citta', camere abbastanza grandi e pulite, personale gentile, colazione buona , io suggerirei una maggiore varieta' di alimenti, per renderla ancora piu' apprezzabile.

Piccola pensione con camere spartane ma comode a conduzione familiare. Il punto di forza è indubbiamente la posizione, a poco più di un chilometro dal centro si raggiungono a piedi la maggior parte delle attrazioni. La zona è ben servita da locali, negozi alimentari, supermercati e mezzi pubblici, molto comodo il collegamento con l'aeroporto. Unica pecca la colazione, veramente molto scarna e poco varia, si potrebbe fare di meglio includendo frutta, yogurt e prodotti da forno. Una lode ai materassi, in memory foam garantiscono un sonno ristoratore dopo una giornata intensa.

Posiblemente tuve la mala suerte de que me dieran la habitación más ruidosa pero sabiéndolo en recepción podrían habernos dado otra mucho más tranquila, que las habían. Eso de que la recepción y las habitaciones estén en edificios diferentes no era muy práctico si cuando ya estabas con el pijama tenías que ir a recepción por alguna necesidad. Las toallas no me las cambiaron en los 4 días de mi estancia. Igual es que había que pagar un suplemento de lavandería porque no creo que se olvidaran los cuatro días. Sea como sea, da muy mal efecto de cara al cliente. Yo particularmente preferiría que me cobraran un poco más en el precio de la habitación y que me cambiran las toallas a diario.
