Super Lage und es war schön ruhig. Der Service war ausgezeichnet! Aber das Zimmer ist nicht für Allergiker geeignet, da ein Teppichboden verlegt wurde und es nur eine Wolldecke gibt.

Lighting was not enough, the radiator in the bathroom is not working. The room is big but there were mosquitoes which made us not sleeping well.

Do NOT stay here. The hotel is so outdated and dusty and musty. Poor lighting. Beds were not comfy. Bathroom is a disaster - old, falling apart, not well-maintained at all. There was no lighting in the room - so dark, the carpet was old looking. The rooms had old dated furniture. The worst part was the bathroom. When we checked in, the bathroom floor was full of hair all over the place. This made it for a very uncomfortable stay. I emailed the front desk to let them know and they did nothing about it. We were only staying for one night and they said we'll clean it tomorrow - how does that help me when i'm no longer there? I was extremely uncomfortable to stay in and the staff doesn't want to be bothered with you. No one tried to compensate us, offer us a free breakfast or a tour around town or something. Management will blow you off and ignore your requests/concerns. You kind of feel like you're on your own there and that's very unsettling when you're in a new country/town. Their prices are through the roof - so very very expensive!! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY! There was one friendly/helpful Pakistani man - give him a raise, you could tell he works hard.

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main train station. While it was convenient, carrying bags on foot can be a bit much, so keep that in mind. The hotel itself was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Because it a bit far from the city's center we saw a lot me local venicians. It’s not quite a 4-star experience, but still a very nice place to stay. They even welcomed my birthday partner with a thoughtful fruit tray, which was a lovely touch. The location is good overall, and I would consider staying here again due to its proximity to the station.

Location was perfect - a little out from St Marco area so quiet and more Italians rather than other tourists. The Monastery had been turned into a nice hotel with two floors and each room had a sitting room downstairs with a fridge, tea making facility and bathroom/shower and upstairs a large bedroom with a high ceiling overlooking their garden. Arranged by Thomas Cook including transfers etc, it was very expensive as we had two rooms for my adult son and me. However the hotel was run by untrained staff who maybe were on work experience as my safety and security was not taken seriously as the staff on our second night was Francesco, who gave my room key to another person who just walked in my room. It was late at night but by chance I was reading in the sitting room area. I allerted my son who went downstairs to find out why my security at their hotel was so easily compromised and all he got from Francesco was "oh she can have anything from the mini bar for free" . The next day a young girl was on duty and she said she was the manager and I said it was unacceptable that my health and security were taken so lightly and she offered me few fruits. Again unacceptable response and my son tried to reason with her but she said it was not their problem rather Thomas Cook's as they had done the booking! Subsequently the housekeeping was not done every day, the telephone in my room was not working, the hairdryer broke down etc. but ultimately on our last day the electricity at the hotel was cut off from 9 am so we had no opportunity to have air conditioning or boil a kettle etc. Meanwhile I was covered with bites as was my son and then we saw carpets and mattresses being ripped off in other rooms in the hotel and thrown out - so were there bed bugs? Not sure how you can rate a hotel just by its location and building when its run by untrained staff and health and safety is so easily compromised with an offer for free items from the mini bar or a plate of fruit. My complaints were not taken seriously at all. Very Poor management I would say.

This hotel is located far away from the city centre of Venice and not convenient as you need to walk for around 30 minutes to get to the San Marco area for food or shopping. Hotel is old and dated with very dimly lit rooms and a lack of sockets to charge your phones. Breakfast is typical of an Italian hotel with mostly cold cuts and little choices. There’s no complimentary bottled water even for the first night.

I was booked at this hotel with my wife while on a bus tour which finished in Venice. Hotel is OK but air-conditioning noisy and not very effective. The main issue with this hotel is the location , if you are only in Venice for a short stay it is too far away from the main spots of Venice .

We had a wonderful couple of nights at this hotel. We first came to Venice for our honeymoon 15 years ago. The hotel has changed since then but we were still very happy with the cleanliness of the room, breakfast was great, staff were helpful and polite. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Located in a quiet area of Venice away from the hustle and bustle - I would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Venice. We found restaurants within a couple minutes walk and a main shopping street within 15 minute walk. It was about 30 minutes to St Marks Square (as per Google maps) but with our meandering and popping into shops it did take longer (but that is part of the fun and charm of Venice). Expect a fair amount of walking unless you are prepared to pay for private water taxslis to get around. The hotel itself was as expected. It had rustic charm due to the exposed beams from the conversion. Decent sized rooms and clean. We stayed in a 3 adult two storey room. The bathroom and living area downstairs, a double and single bed upstairs. Only negative is that there could have been more lighting but this was only a minor issue. Staff were very friendly and their English was very good. My sister dropped her return ticket for the ferry in reception and didn't realise. The receptionist sought us out when we next passed through to make sure it was returned to her which was very nice and we were incredibly grateful. It was also a very convenient location for the ferry from the airport (and has its own Dock if you wish to go for a private water taxi).

Stayed here for the third time (first time was 20 years ago!) and the place was still the same. Rooms feel a little more dated now, alot more rough round the edges, old scuffed furniture, stains on carpet, wonky shelves. Definitely not as clean as it used to be. We found a previous guests earphone on the floor, an empty crisp bag from previous guests on a shelf and the room felt dirty. Stairs including guest stairs outside were all dusty. Shame, not as clean as i remembered. Also had to call reception one day as room had not been cleaned by 3pm. When we called they came up immediately though and were very nice. We were given room 209 which was a family room on two levels with a canal view. Room had a bath/shower which was terrible as the shower head was tiny and the bath did not drain properly. The room got very hot in the evening. A/C not adequate or functioning properly. Problem then was we had to leave our windows open all evening to let the heat out which meant the mosquitos got in and bit us in the night. Bitten lots, son especially all over face. Problem with the wooden ceiling/beams (which are very nice) you cannot see them. Room configuration didn’t really work as single bed is upstairs with main double bed. Only option downstairs is a sofa bed and with no bedside tables. Sofa bed was clearly very old and decrepit as has towelling underneath the mattress on one side to support it. Had a minibar that could fit our own drinks in (bottle of champers), 2 x flat screen tv’s with lots of channels but few English speaking channels. TV had USB port so could play our own films on it through flash drive and Netflix which worked well. Free wi-fi. Room also had a safe (free of charge). Tea/coffee making facilities were given (but no milk). A/C did not work. Hotel has a lovely courtyard area and bar. Pity bar doesn’t open until 7pm as would have liked pre-dinner drinks and it was raining one day and would have been nice to spend some time in there late afternoon but appreciate you can’t always account for that. Reception area was nice (nice smell also) and receptionist who checked us in and who we dealt with for the first part of the stay was very lovely. Receptionist checking us out didn’t even ask if we had a good stay? Breakfast was average. Unlimited buffet with boiled eggs hams cheeses fruit croissants breads yogurts etc. Bacon was good if you found a crispy piece but most of it was under-cooked and soggy. Fruit juice was abit watered down. Coffee from machine was ok. The best thing about this hotel now is the location. Right near vaporetto S. Alvise and a real nice tranquil authentic spot away from the big crowds. Al Spar 10 min walk away but another small supermarket called Conad only 5 mins walk. Bars/restaurants 5 min walk away. Real shame this hotels rooms have not been renovated in 20 years and the cleanliness standard has declined. I won’t be staying here again or recommending it any more unfortunately. A 3 star review for wh

We arrived straight to the entrance by private water taxi and were welcomed by pleasant reception staff. As we were early the hotel happily took care of our luggage whilst we ventured out locally for lunch. On return it was a swift check-in process and we were soon in our rooms. Very pleasant but unexpectedly split with a lounge and bathroom on one level then a sizeable double bed on a mezzanine. Rooms cleaned everyday and everything functioned okay, TVs, Aircon and hairdryer. The shower is an over bath style and whilst okay, it did flood the floor via a leaky shower screen. Bar opens 19:00 - 23:00, would have preferred earlier for an aperitif before venturing out for the evening but otherwise we were served by a very pleasant barman and all prices were reasonable. On our last morning we paid for the buffet breakfast (€13 each) a typical continental fayre and sufficient but felt a little expensive. We left Venice by train and it was an easy walk, with suitcases, to the station. All in all would recommend and would return to this hotel, location perfect, a pleasant stroll in to central Venice with plenty of restaurants along the way.
