Residenza Hotel San Maurizio

Fantastic location within walking distance of San Marco and the Grand Canal. Staff were helpful when available but reception was only open for limited hours during the day. Our room was beautifully decorated in the Venitian style with fabric covered walls. Up 2 flights of stairs which helped with our fitness but was a struggle with luggage. Unfortunately our room opened directly onto the breakfast room. Not ideal for a couples holiday but as breakfast wasn’t available there were no awkward moments!

The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Piazza San Marko and even less from S. Maria del Giglio waterbus stop. This is very good because walking with luggage in Venice is complicated. Water bus can be used to go to railway station. In the hotel guests can feel themselves like a real Venetian because of interior and building itself. Lady on the reception is very friendly and helpful. There is no toilet in the lobby. But anyway the hotel is a good choice to stay in Venice.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I was really looking forward to a trip here in April 2020 and I paid the hotel in full for my stay. I was then unable to travel due to the pandemic. I eventually got in touch with the hotel after many attempts. They finally agreed to honour my booking and I reserved a room for December 2021, at this time the travel industry had opened up and I was able to book flights from the UK. Unfortunately, I developed Covid-19 and had to isolate, so was unable to travel. I contacted the hotel via email to inform them a week in advance and to attempt to rebook, this email was sent in December 2021. I received no response from the hotel and have tried on many occasions since, with still no response. The hotel still have my money and I am unable to book a trip elsewhere until I am refunded. Very disappointing service and this has ruined what would have been an amazing experience in a beautiful city.

Un bel posticino a metà strada tra rialto e piazza San marco, ottimamente servito dai mezzi di trasporto, gentilissima la signora della reception, bella la camera e un ottimo bagno, camera molto silenziosa e tranquilla letto meraviglioso, posto da provare,bravi.

Posizione top in pieno centro personale alla reception molto disponibile e vi darà tutte necessarie. Camere come da foto. Ogni mattina vengono rifatti i letti e pulite le stanze.ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Posizione centrale non lontano da piazza San marco. Personale gentile e pronto a fornire tutte le informazioni turistiche sulla città. Camere molto ampie con frigobar. Arredamento stile veneziano. Possibilità con supplemento di fare colazione in hotel
