I’m so glad we chose Reef Point Oceanfront B&B for our 3 night stay in Ukee. It’s a beautiful spot built into the cliffside on an inlet in a quiet part of Ukee, and only a few minute drive from the town center. Dian was the perfect host—she provided a map of the area and a tide chart and gave us very helpful advice on what to see/what not to miss in the area. Beyond that, we were left to enjoy the lovely, secluded setting on our own and enjoyed the privacy. We loved using the hot tub after our long days of exploring, kayaking, etc. I really wish we had stayed a fourth night so we could have had more time to just lounge and enjoy the deck! The homemade muffins and bread that were provided were delicious. We took the banana bread and fruit with us on our kayaking adventure so that was perfect. My only suggestion for improvement: ditch the keurig/single use plastic coffee pods. I know many like them because they’re convenient, but there is local coffee that would’ve been great to have available with just a percolator or French press. I am 100% glad we made the decision to stay in Ukee not Tofino. Tofino is in a stunning setting, but the town itself feels very much catered to the tourists (at least this time of year). I liked the sleepier vibe of Ukee, and the easy access to the Wild Pacific Trail. We really enjoyed going to Frankie’s for dinner, checking out all of the coffee shops including an afternoon iced latte at Ukee Dogs after our kayak trip. We also enjoyed the seafood linguine and views at Floathouse restaurant!
