Sehr schönes Hotel im Herzen von Turku, direkt am Fluss Aura gelegen. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Ich habe dieses Hotel sehr kurzfristig mit meinem Hund gebucht und wir wurden überaus freundlich empfangen. Für meine Hündin gab es sogar ein Extra-Willkommenspaket. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt dort und würden dieses Hotel auch immer wieder buchen.

Das EZ war zwar klein, aber wunderschön. Es war sogar ein WK vorhanden. Dusche & Bad klein, aber ok. Vor allem war es aber wunderbar ruhig (unter dem Dach) und das Frühstück war fantastisch. Der Rezeptionist beim checkin sehr, sehr nett. Lage: schräg gegenüber dem Stockmann in einer kleinen Seitengasse.

Unfriendly hotel with non-service oriented personnel Liked · Hotel is rather clean and very good situated for the purpose of our travel in Turku. There are three place for eat on the territory. Pretty easy to reach any necessary locations at Turku from the hotel place. Disliked · _Attention to ***********!!!_ Hotel always book the room in the most far and inconvenient location in the building with most cheapest possible category. We called in the hotel two times and asked specifically about Safe Box availability. Both times hotel people convinced us that they have it and it is fully functional. After we arrived, safe box was not functioned and receptionist told us: ”Service man could come in 20-30 minutes, but may be not come at all, because you arrive so late (18.00). If you like to walk-out or go to SPA, you could drop you staff here at reception desk”. So, instead of giving us a service we paid for lady on the reception suggested us give her all our money and jewelry and to to swim. So, this is a level of service in that hotel. Finally, no service man arrived and safe not worked at all! Very unfriendly attitude to service delivery and guest requests. Also, we tried to call reception from the room (only own mobile phone possible to use), but after waiting 5-7 minutes waiting we got no response. Other moment, that hotel receptionist during our check-in try to ”sell” us SPA service again, even we booked it at *********** and get guaranty, that it is already included in our booking price. Additional ”surprise”, that all parking places near the hotel sold out to External Parking Managing Company and all customers arrived by car need to pay extra 14 euro per night (if car not electric, charging is separate cost as well). And finally, there are three place for eat (fast-food) on the territory of the hotel, however, SPA zone close at 21.00 and places for eat as well close at the same 21.00. Bingo! Dear customers, go our to eat! Very unpleasant feeling for stay. Hotel absolutely not care about guest and attitude are very unfriendly.

Wir hatten keine gute Kundenerfahrung. Wir hatten das Zwillingezimmer. Betten waren als Queen-Size-Bett zusammen. Wir fragten darüber, und die Antwort war, dass die Gäste Betten selbst bewegen konnten. Glücklicherweise kamen die Mitarbeiter bald und bewegten Betten. Der schlimmste Teil war die Tür zum Duschen und zum Toilette! Es gab keine richtige Tür. Ihr Zimmermann konnte alles sehen und hier durch die Tür sehen! Sehr schrecklich! Wir fragten, ob wir frühstücken könnten ein bisschen früher (Frühstück beginnt 6.30). Die Antwort war ein harter NO. Die Mitarbeiter fragten nicht einmal, wie viel wir vor dem Frühstück gerne besuchen würden (5-10minutes wäre für uns groß gewesen, also würden wir noch unseren Bus nehmen.) Unsere andere Gruppe im Bus sagte uns, dass jedes andere Hotel in Turku beim Frühstück wirklich flexibel war. Diese Hotels waren Centro, Wiklund und Scandic. Sie sollten diese Hotels stattdessen wählen! Das unbehaglichste war, dass Dinge waren ruinös. Sie waren nichts entschuldigt. Wir hätten ein wenig glücklicher gewesen, wenn das Ding über die Probleme entschuldigt und polizeiliche Entschuldigungen wären schön gewesen. Hotellage ist gut, aber vermeiden Sie dieses Hotel!

After staying at Hanaholmen near Helsinki- a similarly priced hotel with a thousand times more charm, a free sauna, and air conditioning- this place was a let down in most ways, but there are a few good things. Service was very nice and helpful. (E.g. they let me put leftovers from dinner in their fridge overnight to take the next day). Its location is good. Parking is €14 per day, which is not bad to make sure your car is safe. That said, there are only about 10 spots adjacent to the hotel. The first day we got a spot but the second we did not. I was told I could not park in the open area in front of the hotel but later saw all the cars had “Centro Hotel Parking” papers so I don’t understand why I couldn’t park there. There is another garage you can park in for the same price. Room was clean. Doors use old school keys rather than a key card. I only received one key for two guests. No big deal but it may affect you. The window only opens a little bit which is disappointing. There was a ceiling fan but at medium and high speeds ours squeaked terribly. With the curtain closed to block the endless summer light, little air could get in the room. Before bed I propped the door open to get a draft. The room stayed very warm at night as a result. Oh, and there was no box of tissues in the room! Strange. Bathroom is tiny but shower pressure is good. Walls are thin- I could hear the guest (probably a man) in the next room peeing in his toilet. Towels are fluffy and soft. Pillows are a little flat and mine was smaller than a standard American one! I asked for a second pillow for the second night and the one I got was actually bigger. Strange. Breakfast was good and filling. There were American-like cereals in addition to oatmeal, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, jams, a few veggies, and a couple of small pastries. In short, the value for this place is questionable if it’s warm outside.

Omenahotelli at Humalistonkatu Turku. Based on ad, looked fairly modern and reasonably prised, about 100 euros per night. There is no reception, you get in with door code. Taxi almost didn’t find the place, but finally we got there. First thing we noticed, was a full beer can on the hallway floor. Some hotels do offer welcome drink, but I doubt this was the case here. When we got inside the room, first impression was like grandma had died, and relatives had tasked alcoholic 70-years old simple minded uncle to decorate it as cheaply as possible. Rom was fairly spacious, but for some weird reason they had built a some kind of wall in front of beds, so there really wasn’t much space to squeeze yourself into bed (luckily we’re not big, large person might not make it). Next to bed, on the floor, there were some papers and empty medicine box. I laughed aloud when I Saw the pillow – size of a stamp and lumpy as hell. There was supposed to be some kind of “kitchen corner” – it was a simple cabinet straight from seventies, with minibar (empty) and microwave oven. Next to it there was a table (from same time period) and chair (advertised as sofabed) that you couldn’t really sit on, but that you could theoretically use as a “sofachair”. I didn’t dare to try, and there wasn’t bedlinen anyway. Next to it, on the floor, there was a large stain – I wouldn’t dare to guess what. Whole room smelled unpleasant. Unfortunately, you couldn’t open windows. Bathroom was ok. Toilet paper was under the sink, bit difficult to reach, and there wasn’t any kind of shelf in the shower to hold soap. Peephole on a door had been stuffed with something orange. Luckily there was a door chain. It looked like that electrical wiring had been done by electrician who was fairly drunk. Room was filthy, dust everywhere and some sticky patches on floor and on the door etc. Bed wasn’t a catastrophe (except the pillow) – cheapest you can find at Ikea I guess. My son was bit worried, if we would dare to stay there, but since it was 2 am we really didn’t have a choice. I woke up around 7AM, heard someone talking at the next room. There is no soundproofing, you can hear clearly what neighbours are talking.

Traumhafte Lage. Beim Buchen unbedingt ein Zimmer mit Balkon zur Hafenseite nehmen, sonst könnte es enttäuschend sein. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß mit tollem Ausblick. Parkplätze sind genügend kostenlos vorhanden. Das Frühstück war gut und vielfältig. Es gibt ein kostenloses Schwimmbad mit Sauna, einen Spa Bereich, einen Tennisplatz, einen Frisbee Parcours, einen Beachvolleyballplatz, einen Seezugang u.s.w. Ich würde es wieder buchen.

Laivahostel S/S Bore ist zentral in Turku gelegen, nur 4 Gehminuten von Forum Marinum und 7 Gehminuten von Burg Turku entfernt. Dieses Hostel ist 0,6 km von Viking Line Terminal und 2,5 km von Mikaelinkirkko entfernt.Genieße von folgendem Punkt aus den schönen Ausblick: Terrasse. Nutz außerdem Einrichtungen und Leistungen wie kostenloses WLAN und einen Friseursalon. Auch ein Gemeinschaftswohnzimmer und ein Verkaufsautomat werden angeboten.Ein inbegriffenes Frühstücksbuffet wird unter der Woche von 06:30 Uhr bis 10:00 Uhr und am Wochenende von 06:30 Uhr bis 10:30 Uhr angeboten.Zum Angebot gehören mehrsprachiges Personal, eine Gepäckaufbewahrung und eine Wäscherei. Für Veranstaltungen stehen folgende Einrichtungen zur Verfügung: Konferenzfläche und 2 Tagungsräume. Vor Ort gibt es Folgendes: Parken ohne Service (kostenlos).Fühl dich in einem der 120 Zimmer wie zu Hause. Ein WLAN-Internetzugang (kostenlos) steht zur Verfügung. Die Badezimmer bieten Duschen und Haartrockner.

Wir blieben eine Nacht vor unserer Viking Glory Kreuzfahrt, die früh am Morgen abging. Es gibt ein paar Minuten zu Fuß bis Bus 1 , das Sie zum Hafen führt. Dieses Mal buchten wir mit dem Namen meines Partners, weil er den Senior Rabatt mit dem Code SENIOR auf der Hotelseite erhalten wird. Der Preis war nur 115 Euro für ein Superior Zimmer. Wir haben ein Superior Twin Zimmer reserviert, weil sie geräumiger sind als die Superior King Zimmer. Der Preis ist jedoch gleich. Wir hatten Glück, das einzige Superior Twin Zimmer wieder zu bekommen, das dem Marktplatz gegenüber steht, der noch im Bau ist, aber kein Lärm kann gehört werden. Das Frühstück war angenehm mit einer sehr ruhigen Atmosphäre um 6:45 Uhr. Die Auswahl der Lebensmittel war breit.

Child friendly with a playroom by the reception/breakfast room, and kids telly on there in the morning. We were on the first floor, which was the same as the sauna and gym which was good. The sauna was peaceful, and the gym well equipped. The breakfast was pretty basic, but fine, and not to crowded. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good location.
