My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ovolo South Yarra. Such a cool, funky hotel! The perks were great and the bed was so comfortable. All of the staff were lovely. My boyfriend loves art so we really enjoyed walking around and seeing all the cool art and decor. Very happy, fun vibe. Great location as well which suited us perfectly as we planned to have drinks with friends in Chapel Street that night. We were able to wander around and check out a near by gallery, Prahran market and various shops on Chapel Street. They also have a check out time of 11.00 which was so good as we find the check out time at most hotels is too early and its always a rush to get packed, shower and get ready, have breakfast and get out the door. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for a great stay. :)

Wir hatten ein Two-Bedroom-Apartment, das ausgezeichnet ausgestattet war mit sehr bequemen Betten und einer Terrasse. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und die Handtücher wurden nach ein paar Tagen gewechselt. Die Lage ist sehr gut mit vielen Restaurants und Cafés in fussläufiger Umgebung sowie einer direkten Straßenbahn-Anbindung an das Stadtzentrum. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir gleich für einen weiteren Aufenthalt gebucht haben.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The tram is at your doorstop, which takes you straight into the city. If walking is your thing then it will only take you 25 minutes. I was lucky enough to get a room with a view of Albert Park. My room had plenty of space to set up a work station as well as relax. The team on the front desk were welcoming and faciltated a speedy check in and out.

Es ist ein altes Gebäude, das mit neuen Gemälden und Möbeln aufgesprüht wurde. - Bett war ausgezeichnet und Zimmer sehr sauber. Zimmer für Verbesserung - Einer der Aufzüge (es gibt nur 2) ist schrecklich langsam und sollte ersetzt werden. - Es gibt nur so viel, was man mit einem alten Gebäude tun kann, aber wir hatten keine Beschwerden.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Ein kurzer Spaziergang zu beiden Enden der Acland Street und spätabends Essen an mehreren Stellen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, aber die Nachttische mussten extra abgewischt werden. Große Auswahl an hochwertigem Tee und Kaffee im Angebot. Straßenbahnlärm ist definitiv ab früh morgens hörbar, aber wenn Sie nach einem Stadterlebnis suchen, liegt es einfach im allgemeinen Summen der städtischen Melbourne-Klänge. Die Rezeption schließt pünktlich um 20:00 Uhr. Beachten Sie dies, da Trip Ihre Kontaktdaten nicht an die Rezeption weitergibt, um Sie anzurufen und diese Informationen zu bestätigen. Ich musste die Rezeption kontaktieren, nachdem wir unser Zimmer betreten hatten: keine Antwort. Nach dreimaligem Klingeln aufgegeben. Beachten Sie, dass Cosmo Ihnen 2,5% in Rechnung stellt, wenn Sie Ihre Zimmerkaution von 150 USD einziehen, die sie nicht zurückerstattet (3,75 USD). Dies ist eine sehr zwielichtige Geschäftspraxis (unserer Meinung nach illegal) und wir sagten ihnen, wir würden uns an Consumer Affairs wenden, da sie auch eine Barzahlungsalternative ablehnten, um diese Gebühr zu vermeiden (aufgrund von Covid). Die leitende Angestellte an der Rezeption war sehr verständnisvoll und übertrieb freundlicherweise die Gebühr, aber es ist etwas, dessen man sich sehr bewusst sein sollte. Getrübt, was im Wesentlichen ein toller Aufenthalt in einem Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war.

This property definitely has some positives. The price is cheap for an apartment and it's very close to Box Hill Central and pretty close to Box Hill Hospital. The staff were able to get us in to our room early which was also very handy. The negatives, the amenities feel cheap, the double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses pushed together, and the mattresses were very thin. The couch was the same it just felt cheap and poor quality. The other negative with this property was the odor in the corridor which smelt like a mixture of cigarettes and stale cooking smells, although within the apartment we were in there was no odor so that was a positive. If you need somewhere for a short stay in and around Box Hill this property is quite ok, but be realistic about what you are expecting at the price point

My wife and I operate a small coach tour company, and have done so for the last 28 years. We offer residents of Sydney, the Central Coast, the Southern Highlands, Canberra and Queanbeyan, the opportunity to travel on a variety of tours, ranging from four days to ten days in length, to different areas in Eastern Australia. Last week, a group of our passengers from these areas travelled on a seven-day tour to Victoria. During the tour, our passengers stayed for four nights at the Novotel Melbourne Preston. We certainly have no complaints or regrets about using this Hotel for our group’s stay! When I first contacted the Hotel in September 2023, about the possibility of using it for my tour group’s accommodation for this tour, my enquiry was treated with genuine enthusiasm. I was put through to the Sales Manager, Ms Michele Kerrigan. Michele was amazing to deal with. After a steady stream of telephone conversations and emails during the next few days, the accommodation was booked, and the menus for all the dinners during this stay were locked in. At some hotels we’ve used over the years, this process can take weeks, and it can be quite a frustrating experience. At this Hotel, it was the exact opposite. So, a huge ‘thank you’ to Michele, for making this all so easy for us as tour organisers! After all the arrangements we finalised, and the booking was locked in, Michele passed on our booking to the Sales Coordinator, Annalise Dimase. Once again, Annalise was an absolute delight to work with! Between the finalisation of the booking, and the date of the group’s arrival, we spoke many, many times on the phone, and exchanged many, many emails. In all my dealings with Annalise, she was professional, personable, helpful, patient, and attentive. On a few occasions, when Annalise was unavailable, I was transferred to Nada, another member of the Sales Team. Again, Nada was wonderful to work with. When our tour group arrived at the hotel, Michele, Nada, and Annalise were all there to greet the passengers. They were very impressed by the warm and friendly welcome offered to them by this team! Once inside the Hotel, this level of service was experienced in all sections. The reception staff, the housekeeping staff, the restaurant staff, the chef and kitchen staff were all friendly, welcoming, obliging, and helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to any tour groups requiring accommodation in Melbourne. Judging by our experience, it would be difficult to surpass the level of attentiveness and friendliness offered by the management team and staff, the quality of service, the degree of comfort, and the attention to detail our group received during their stay. Dieser Ort ist so schön, es ist schwer zu verstehen, die Geschichte, was einmal einer der bekanntesten Gefängnisse Australien war, da es jetzt vollständig in dieses wunderschöne Hotel renoviert wurde. Alles über es so ästhetisch angenehm. Die konvertierten Zellen, die jetzt Suiten mit allen Mod-Cons sind. Der Grundstück ist jetzt ein unglaubliches Pool zusammen mit gemeinsamen Bereichen, die ein fabulöser Weinbar mit alten Zellen werden jetzt Boote, um eine intime Speiseerlebnis. Das Personal ist wunderbar. Große Schrei an die schöne Maddi, die unser bestellter Gastgeber war, und auch eine zusätzliche Beiträge auf der namens Place of Time, wo Sie im alten Übungshof sitzen und schütteln roten Wein, Essen Sie bittende Käse während sie die Geschichte des Gefängnisses und der Umgebung durchläuft. Das Essen war lecker in der Weinbar und Cocktails bitter. Wir hatten ein bisschen eine versehentliche Überlastung, aber Natasha auf dem Frontdesk sortierte alles bewundernswert und schnell. Das Personal ist alle so freundlich und scheint wirklich ihre Jobs zu lieben. Wir würden definitiv die Chance lieben, bald wieder zu kommen. Danke.

Die Innenräume des Hotels sind neu, sauber und komplett, es gibt eine tolle Trockenmaschine und die Küche ist komplett; die Lage des Hotels ist sehr entlegen, aber die relative Umgebung ist ruhig, geeignet für Ruhe, sehr gut.
