Premier Inn Tonbridge

We stay at Premier Inn around the country. Hotels are pretty standard but the one thing that let's them down is some of the food. Our room was OK although our room was at the end of the corridor outside staff quarters and supply cupboards bit noisy. The water was very low pressure and took ages for hot to come through. But the main disappointment was the food arangements. We had an evening meal at the vauxhall Inn next door the vegetables were very under cooked and the Young bar staff needed customer care training. We walked in on arrival without a booking, we were made to think we should have booked by the attitude, a table was found, an by the time we left still no other tables had been occupied. Breakfast which is always our favourite was cooked ok sausages were a bit anemic but the quality was not there. Breakfast times was only an hour and a half from 8 till 9.30 so we had to get up earlier than expected and felt rushed for breakfast although it was very empty on both days. Whitbread are closing many premier inns and beefeaters it seems the ones we like best are on their list. Not sure if this includes this one.

The hotel is tired and needs major investment. Walls and woodwork all damaged and dirty. En suite in the bedroom was very tired and in need of redecoration. We had one bedside table, and a bar stool on the other side. No matching cups. The floor at the side of the bed was damp. All in all, it had to be the worst Premier Inns I have ever stayed in.

We have stayed in many Premier Inns and we booked this one for 4 nights because it was conveniently situated for the National Trust properties we wished to visit. This was the worst we have stayed in. Our rating has nothing to do with the staff who were friendly and helpful. The decor is dated and faded. The carpets were soiled particularly in the public areas. It needs a thorough makeover. The room was clean, but in need of refurbishment.

The advert for Premier Inns had just come on the TV. I had to wonder which Premier Inn they were showing cos it's definitely not the Tonbridge one! The place needs a bit of a refurb, room is rather tired, window won't close tho maybe that's as well as it's really stuffy in here, but bit concerning when you're on the ground floor. Ok for a night or two but not really somewhere you would want to stay any longer. The Beefeater next door was busy last night and they were understaffed with customers complaining about long waits for orders to arrive. Bar staff said they had a back log of orders so we left and ended up having fish and chips from the chippy in town. 😕

Not what we've come to expect from a Premier Inn. 2 nights for over £220 and the room was awful! plug socket hanging off the wall, light bulbs not working, paint peeling and cracking off the walls, stains on the wall and carpet. C'mon Premier Inn, you can do better!!!

The staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful but were let down by the hotel. The Premiere Inn signage was hidden in bushes and not visible at all on the road coming from one direction. We are actually familiar with the area but it would be a bad experience for visitors who are unfamiliar as you can find yourself missing the turn very easily and ending up on A21. Sadly the room we stayed in was very tired. Clean but tired and there was no natural light at all as there were trees and bushes right outside the window completely blocking any view. Thankfully we only stayed for one night. Another disappointment was that breakfast was only served until 8:45. We had been at a nearby wedding the evening before and another hour in bed would have been nice
