Die Lage war gut (verwenden Sie den Ausgang Iriya am Bahnhof Ueno). Allerdings war das Bett ziemlich hart und nicht bequem zum Schlafen. Auf den gemischtgeschlechtlichen Ebenen wurden die weiblichen Hautpflegeprodukte (z. B. Make-up-Entferner, Gesichtsschaum und Reinigungsmittel) nicht bereitgestellt, die auf den rein weiblichen Ebenen bereitgestellt wurden. Es wurden nur Shampoo, Seife und Spülung als Toilettenartikel bereitgestellt, andere müssen gekauft werden. Handtuch und Haartrockner sind mietbar. Es wäre besser, wenn sie einen Zimmerpreis verlangen würden, der alle Toilettenartikel und Annehmlichkeiten beinhaltet. Das Frühstück war anständig und der gemeinsame Essbereich im ersten Stock hatte eine gute Größe. Eine Gepäckaufbewahrung ist nur am Tag des Check-in und Check-outs möglich.

Solide Leistung angesichts des Preises. Das Zimmer ist sauber und die Umgebung ist gut gepflegt. Ich habe es für eine Nacht gebucht, um am nächsten Morgen den Zug zu erreichen, also blieb ich nur ein paar Stunden dort.

Very good hostel with friendly staff who speak english. Staff allowed for storing of luggage on day of check in and check out. Hostel close to the Ueno station, and close to many tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

The room was good and clean the staff is cooperative.

pros - great location - facilities almost complete cons - washing machine is okay but dryer should be done 3-4 times to ensure the cloth is dry - only one elevator is available for the whole building, stairs are not allowed to be used - beds are not cleaned and sheets are not changed everyday unless requested - towel is provided with additional charge - receptionist guy was not really helpful

Went to grid akihabara 4 years ago and loved it , decided to try the ueno one and was clearly disappointed. Service is poor , one person is working at the desk and that’s it , no one is taking care of restaurant or bar . The hostel then is not very lively . You have to pay for towels . The guy at the front desk was very rude checking for my information he requested I spell my name entirely . The good thing is you can have a breakfast for free since no one is looking who paid or not . The bed is hard and rooms badly ventilated , way too hot . Finally one elevator for 10 floors made me wait 4 rows in the morning to come down since everyone was checking out . You won’t see me again Grid’s .

Location is good. In the heart of Ueno station. Go out from iriya gate wallah you walk only 2-3 minute to arrive hotel. Cleanliness is good. But bed is too thin. For heavy people like me , i find it difficult to sleep. Anyway good stay. Maybe improve the quality of futon.

Clean and some value for money kinda stays at Ueno. The location is top, near the Train station and Ueno park. Breakfast was vegan friendly. Recommended.

Room is bit small, but well organised. Comes with everything I needed. Close to shops and station, and staff are very nice.

Room was smaller than expected and didn't realise there were no bed frame. It was tough for elderly to bend down to get to the bed. Would be a good location is you are a solo traveller.

Really close to JR station 

The room was rather clean. Staff was nice and generally could speak English well. Yet the room was soooo tiny and narrow that we could not fully open our only luggage in a 4 person room which was bit disappointing. A public kitchen is located at the entrance and I wished I have known before our arrival for better planning.
