I recently stayed at the Sun Beach Hotel in Agia Triada with my husband and our 5-year-old daughter, and our experience was quite mixed. Rooms and Amenities: The hotel is housed in an old building, and it shows in the condition of the rooms and furniture. The room we stayed in had outdated and worn-out furniture, including a very old and dusty carpet. The curtains were also dusty, which is unacceptable for a hotel. The balcony was concerning as the fence moved with every touch, making it feel unsafe. There was no kettle in the room, which I found to be an inconvenience. A small fridge was provided in the room, tucked inside a piece of furniture. While it was handy to have, the fridge was quite noisy, and the constant hum made it difficult to sleep properly. One particularly unsettling aspect of our room was the door in the middle that connected to the adjacent room. It seemed to offer little soundproofing, as we could clearly hear the conversations of the people next door. This was especially unnerving at night, and it made us feel less secure and disturbed our sleep. The beds were okay, with one separate bed and two twin beds, and the mattresses were decent. However, the central air conditioning system was not functioning properly, causing issues in the hallway and at the reception area. Key Card and Door Issues: When we arrived, the key card for our room didn’t work, so we were given a regular key instead. Unfortunately, the door was extremely difficult to open, even showing marks from previous struggles to push it open. This added unnecessary frustration to our stay and made entering our room a hassle. Cleanliness and Hygiene: The hotel operates a policy of changing towels only upon request, which is environmentally friendly and reduces excessive detergent use, so I appreciated that aspect. However, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing. The pool was overcrowded, and it was clear that hygiene standards were not being enforced. I observed people with visible fungal infections on their nails being allowed into the pool, which was quite disturbing. Despite the pool area looking nice at first glance, this lack of care for hygiene was a major drawback. Service: The service at the reception was another low point of my stay. We had express check-in, but the staff did not respect the check-in hours of 14:00, nor did they honor the express check-in service. The receptionists were rude and unhelpful, which left a bad impression right at the start of my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast was decent, with a buffet offering a variety of options that could cater to most tastes. However, a significant inconvenience was the lack of ingredient labels on the buffet items. This was particularly problematic for my daughter, who has dietary restrictions. It made navigating the buffet more challenging, and I would strongly recommend the hotel address this issue for the sake of guests with food allergies or special dietary needs. Bathroom: The

Das Hotel Avalon in Thermi, nur an die zehn Minuten vom Aerodromos Thessaloniki entfernt, ist eine kleine Insel der Geborgenheit und Eleganz. Versteckt zwischen Gartenmauern und Rosensträuchern wartet ein vornehmes Gebäude auf den Besucher, versehen mit über hundert Zimmern, einem idyllischen Pool und einer Restaurant-Terrasse, die Stil hat und die an Bequemlichkeit und Gepflegtheit alles übertrifft. Auch das Service und das Speisenangebot sind vorzüglich; die Zimmer selbst sind sehr angenehm, mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet, sogar mit einem Hauch von Luxus, der auch über dem ganzen Hotelareal liegt. Wenn rund um den Pool eine Feier stattfindet, verwandelt sich alles in ein weißes Fest an Schönheit und Erlesenheit.

Obwohl das Hotel etwas abgelegen ist, ist es leicht zu finden. Es gibt Geschäfte, eine Apotheke und einen Supermarkt in 8 Gehminuten Entfernung, um alle Bedürfnisse kleiner Kinder zu erfüllen. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Schwimmbad ist sehr gut. Wir waren schon vor sechs Jahren in diesem Hotel, daher war es schön, hierher zurückzukehren. Der einzige Nachteil, das Frühstück hatte keine so gute Auswahl an frischem Obst oder Joghurt. Obwohl ich griechischen Joghurt liebe. Auf der Rückseite des Hotels in der Nähe unseres Zimmers hatte das Personal große zerbrochene Möbel oder Teppiche vor dem Flurfenster abgeladen. Außerdem öffneten der Swimmingpool und der Bereich um 10 Uhr morgens, aber mit dem Aufräumen der Betten und dem Schneiden wurde erst um 10 Uhr begonnen. Ansonsten ist das Hotel ausgezeichnet und sollte von jedem genutzt werden, der hier vorbeikommt.

Central, close to tourist attractions and many diverse restaurants. The staff were efficient, helpful and pleasant. We had a single en suite room each which were perfect for a short stay. Everywhere inside was clean and we loved the well-supervised breakfast. It’s worth noting that it’s situated on a side street which is much quieter than the nearby main road…

Pros: - Occupies prime waterfront real estate in Thessaloniki. Steps from the beautiful walking and biking path that extends for miles. Minutes from the best shops and restaurants. - In-room temperature control maximizes comfort. - Adjustable shower head with outstanding water pressure. - Desk facing the window enhanced work experience. - Excellent price-value equation. Cons: - Noise travels horizontally (thin walls) and vertically (hard floors). - A large ferry building across the street obscures some sea views, which may only be worth it on the upper floors (5th and 6th). Plus, the busy street below compounds the aforementioned noise issues. The hotel provides earplugs in the room. - Thin sheets could be accompanied by a comforter. - No fitness center. Overall, it's a very good choice in Thessaloniki and central to everything.

Στο ambassador hotel κάναμε τη δεξίωση του γάμου μας και όλα ήταν ονειρικά! Πρώτα απ' όλα, ο Πάρης και οι άνθρωποι του ξενοδοχείου μάς εντυπωσίασαν με τον επαγγελματισμό και την καλοσύνη τους. Έπειτα, το φαγητό δεν θύμιζε σε τίποτα τα κλασικά μενού που όλοι λίγο - πολύ έχουμε φάει (ναι σε αυτά τα ταλαιπωρημένα και ξερά κρέατα αναφέρομαι και στον καταθλιπτικό λαπά για συνοδευτικό). Πεντανόστιμες σαλάτες, θεσπέσια ορεκτικά και ζουμερό κυρίως (όλα σε σωστές θερμοκρασίες παρόλο που είχαμε γύρω στους 130 καλεσμένους)! Η τούρτα ήταν από άλλο πλανήτη και η εξυπηρέτηση δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι καλύτερη, αφού από κανένα τραπέζι δεν έλειψε νερό, αναψυκτικά και ποτά. Εμείς δεν κάναμε τίποτα, όλα ήταν άψογα - συντονισμένα και κανένας καλεσμένος δεν μας παραπονέθηκε, τουναντίον δύο εβδομάδες μετά, βρίσκουν ακόμη τους γονείς μας και τους λένε πως ποτέ ξανά σε γάμο δεν πέρασαν τόσο ωραία. Το ambassador τα συνδυάζει όλα: τοποθεσία (μια καταπληκτική πισίνα σε έναν ολάνθιστο κήπο), ποιότητα και ποσότητα (το φαγητό ήταν εξίσου - για να μην πω πιο νόστιμο - από το δοκιμαστικό που κάναμε), ευγένεια και κυρίως επαγγελματισμό και αγάπη γι' αυτό που κάνουν. Μεγάλο συν, μας διέθεσαν τη σουίτα για την πρώτη νύχτα και φτάνοντας από τη εκκλησία μας έφεραν φαγητό στο δωμάτιο για να τσιμπήσουμε κάτι, μέχρι να έρθει η ώρα να φάμε κανονικά. Σας ευχαριστούμε μέσα απ΄ την καρδιά μας που κάνατε εκείνη τη μέρα μοναδική και αξέχαστη και ευχόμαστε τα καλύτερα!

As long-term and frequent travelers to Thessaloniki, we found ourselves unexpectedly at the Mediterranean Palace through a snafu in reservations at another hotel in Thessaloniki. Dismayed at the unplanned change, we decided to make the best of our remaining trip. The mix-up, however, proved serendipitous. MP exceeded all expectations by far. From this point forward it will be our hotel of choice, a designation well -earned through superlative service by all staff, the finest culinary offerings, Martha-Stewart-topping holiday decorations and events, and choice location adjoining the famous Ladadika historical district of eateries. This is a full-service, five-star hotel (with bath-tubs) that won’t disappoint. We used the spa and restaurant regularly and were delighted even with the last available room in the hotel that offered us a lovely desk and sitting area, with a full bath and quiet location at the end of a corridor. But more than the typical descriptions from brochures and websites, the staff earned our deepest appreciation for their constant assistance. With our visual and mobility challenges, added to our tough “business” schedule, each of the staff looked out for us and helped make our trip a resounding success. Their attention to detail, unfailing cheerfulness and politeness impressed us as no other facility across the globe. In particular, we would like to thank the General Hotel and Customer Relations Managers. Not to be omitted are Ms. Katerina of the housekeeping staff; of the waitstaff, Mr. Giannis, Mr. Tassos, Ms. Despoina, and Ms. Georgia, among others who made our stay so memorable. We strongly urge travelers to book their stays at this hotel!

Everything is perfect , the room so large , so you can loose your self . ANASTASIA - MANAGER VERY FRIENDLY , ITS MAKE FEEL LIKE YOU DON'T WANT GO BACK TO YOUR HOME. The best place you could find with affordable prices and quality. Breakfast made you fat due to variety of baking products , salmon and croissants very tasty. Suggestion- choose Filter coffee. AWESOME .

This is a lovely hotel— spacious well-appointed rooms, little balconies (but no outdoor furniture), nice breakfast buffet, welcome snacks, lemon water in the lobby, nice courtyard area. BUT it is in a desolate flat commercial wasteland of abandoned buildings, grubby auto shops & even the occasional streetwalker behind the hotel.I’m not saying the area isn’t safe (as an American, I was probably much safer here than at home), but it is almost a 3km walk to anything of interest as a tourist. unless you are attending a conference onsite (as we were), you can find cheaper hotels in more attractive neighborhoods closer to town.

Wir haben für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel geringfügig von den wichtigsten touristischen Orten in Thessaloniki geblieben. Es ist neben einer Hauptstraße, so dass unser vorderen Zimmer sehr laut war, manchmal spät in die Nacht. Das Zimmer war eine vernünftige Größe und wurde auf einem kleinen Balkon geöffnet. Wir wurden von der Dame auf dem Vordertisch freundlich begrüßt und sie hat uns viele Informationen über die Stadt gegeben, als wir incheckten. Das Frühstück war insgesamt sehr gut, aber wir waren am ersten Morgen nicht beeindruckt, wie viel der Speise wurde von einer großen Tour-Gruppe genommen und es gab eine beträchtliche Verzögerung, um zu erfüllen. Es gab keine ähnlichen Probleme in den folgenden Tagen. Trotz des 15-minütigen Spazierganges zum Meer vorn konnten wir jeden Tag auf der Rückfahrt in die Ladadik abweichen. Dieses ist wirklich gut für eine gute Auswahl an Nahrungsmitteln und Getränken zu sehr akzeptablen Preisen. Das Hotel ist auch für den Fährhafen bequem. Thessaloniki ist sicherlich ein paar Tage wert und hat ein paar wirklich gute moderne Museen. Wir würden sicherlich das Hotel Anatolia berücksichtigen, wenn wir zurückkehren.
