Ich mochte das Zimmer nicht, es hatte schlechten Geruch inne, Frühstück war sehr begrenzt wie in 3-Sterne-Hotel, auch gab es keine Zahnvorgänge in einem Zimmer ohne Anfrage, ebenso wie keine Teestation ohne Anfrage. Dampfsauna war schrecklich, es ist falsch türkische Sauna mit Kunststoffsitze und Kunststoff Wände, schwer zu nennen es türkische Sauna. So große Enttäuschung, ich war in Villa gale in Lissabon und Lagos und es war echte türkische Bad oder echte Sauna. Das Hotel ist 3 Sterne , aber nicht 4 Sterne . Jacuzzis funktionierte sehr Wochen lang , und die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer funktionierte auch nicht gut .

Wir waren als Gruppe hier eingebucht, und sehr positiv überrascht, grosse Zimmer (im neuen Trakt), immer sauber. Restaurant (Frühstück, Abend-Buffet) auch in der Nebensaison in keinster Weise reduzierter Service, im Gegenteil: sehr ausführliche Buffets, mit frischem Obst, Köse, Wurst, Müsli, div Milch, auch Hafermilch etc. Personal morgens und abens am Buffet immer sehr aufmerksam (Lob für die Grill-Station, wo Fleisch und Fisch frisch zubereitet werden und man dabei zuschauen kann). Ob das Hotel nach uns dann in Winterpause gegangen ist, weiss ich nicht zu berichten, auf jeden Fall haben sie bei uns bis zum Schluss volle Leistung gezeigt. Positiv noch zu erwähnen: es gibt einen Hotel-Shuttlebus nach Tavira (nur zu bestimmten Tagen und nach festen Zeiten, aber das ist OK), und das Hotel hat einen eigenen Bootsanleger, um nach Tavira-Hafen, oder auf die Sandbank ”Ihla de Tavira” zu fahren. Es gibt eine Bar, allzeit mit einem Schälchen Nüssen; es gibt ein Indoor-Pool und eine Sauna (habe ich gar nicht mal benutzt), einen Fitness-Raum; dass es einen tollen Aussenpool gibt, wurde ja schon in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt.

The hotel was nicely decorated and designed. The pool area was very clean and a nice environment. The rooms were also clean, with comfortable beds and a good shower. Unfortunately when we arrived one of the rooms had an unpleasant smell. When we mentioned this at reception they said housekeeping would look into it, but nothing was mentioned further. We then found that the room door was faulty, and was not locking properly. When we returned from meals in the evening, we found the door ajar, despite being shut when we left. We mentioned this at reception, and again they said they'd look into it, but nothing was done, despite mentioning that we had valuables in the room. The obvious course of action would have been to fix it immediately, or move us to a different room, but neither was offered, which feels like quite a major issue. The offering at breakfast was good, and there were a few members of staff that were especially helpful and friendly in the Orangea restaurant. The food here was ok, but would recommend ordering simpler dishes. On the whole, our stay was enjoyable, but issues were not dealt with as they should have been, which would make us rethink returning.

Hotel mit hervorragenden Einrichtungen. Der perfekte Ort, um die gute Zeit von Algarve zu genießen. Nahe einem fantastischen Strand. Das Paket von Choli war von Unterkünften und Frühstück. Der einzige Schwachpunkt war sogar die Qualität der Produkte im Frühstück. Die Saft sind sehr wenig Qualität, fast nicht vorhandene Mini-Küchen und viele schlechte Waffeln. Das Gleiche geschieht beim Abendessen. Wir haben beschlossen, im Hotel zu essen und das Buffet ist sehr schlecht und unqualitativ. Ich weiß nicht, ob es mit all-Paketen zusammenhängt, auch die meisten Gäste haben, aber ich denke, es ist ein Punkt, der für die Kundenzufriedenheit zu verbessern. Wir lieben es gleich, aber wenn ich zurückkomme, werde ich das Essen aus dem Hotel machen.

Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Wir hatten ein großes Appartement mit zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern. Die Küche war mit großem Kühlschrank, Herd, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler und Mikrowelle ausgestattet. Alle Geräte neuwertig. Selbstversorgung wäre sehr gut möglich gewesen. Das Buffet war reichhaltig und gut. Der kostenlose Bootstransfer zum Strand ist sehr praktisch.

This is generally well-managed, but could be so much better with a few improvements. We stayed for 10 nights in a 2-bedroom villa. The villa was generally clean, though quite dated. The reception staff were very friendly and very willing to help with any problems, except that there shouldn't have been problems! There was one restaurant / bar staff, who never smiled and and was always grumpy The bathroom smelled of sewage most of the time, which was very unpleasant. The beds weren't great, and were so short my feet hung over the end (I'm not very tall). While the rooms and bathroom were cleaned 5 days a week, I don't think they changed the bed linen. The internet is only available by renting a Wifi router from reception (€1/day), but they don't have many -- we asked for one when we made the initial booking and we got the last one. But the internet was pretty slow, I was often switching it off and using my phone. Clientele is very international, with most guests (I think) Portuguese - there were Germans, French and Dutch and Irish, and a few Brits. The pool is nice, but in the afternoons, and especially at weekends it got very crowded, with lots of non-guests driving up with their cars. The hotel sometimes checked our guest cards to make sure we were guests, but not very often, and it seems the wider town took advantage of that -- I told the reception we didn't appreciate our hotel being used as a municipal pool. The sun umbrellas can't be moved, and are pretty small, so lots of people moved the chairs to be under the shade of the trees. Breakfast was fine, but only open 8:30-10:30, so if you have an excursion with an early pickup, you will miss out. The evening buffet was also fine, though the restaurant was devoid of atmosphere, and sometimes had weird music (like a loud DJ playing house music at 8:00PM when it was mostly families!) The local Cabanas town is very nice with some nice restaurants, and there was a Fisherman festival on at the time. The beach was easy to get to with the dedicated boat service, and is a great beach, but only one bathroom, which isn't very much for such a well-used beach. The beach restaurant fills up fast (I couldn't get food there), and the beach chair rental is expensive (€23 for 2 chairs and a parasol), but if you bring your own sandwiches, it's fine. Tavira town was a €9 Uber ride away, and also very pretty, with lots of evening music festivals on. If the hotel refurbished the rooms to a more modern standard with better beds, fixed the sewage issues, put bigger sun umbrellas round the pool, had better security to restrict the pool for guests only, and put proper Wifi in, this would be a lovely place, but unfortunately, this fell a bit short of that.

If you're looking for a great place to chill Herdade da Corte is where you need to go. A Rio Grande style and feel about it, surrounded by fabulous hilly views, orange, lemon trees, olive groves, and pure adulterated silence. You hear the whisper of the breeze throughout the outdoor areas which have casual seating dotted about, a sweeping view, and a to die for salt-water pool. If you want 5 star service and a butler this isn't the place for you! Our favourite time of the day was a leisurely hour and half munching our way through the buffet breakfast, consisting of 4 different freshly made juices, a good selection of local produce, bread, rolls, pastries and cake, cheese, cold meats, fruits, yoghurt, and natural cereals - while idly looking out to the hills. There's also an array of teas, and the coffee is via a machine which is good - but goat's milk! We've travelled the world extensively and it's rare to find such a place. If you want to jazz up your time there Tavira is charming, along with Tavira Island. You do need a car if you stay at Herdade and want to visit many areas, however, we had read other reviews and knew that - but we just wanted to relax there and do nothing! We stayed 4 days and did venture out 1 afternoon to a restaurant in St Luzia. Local taxi, very nice driver. 20 euro each way (same prices to Tavira) about 15 minutes journey. The owners Joao and Francisco are cool, interesting guys, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area , local produce, wines, and activities to do there - hiking, etc. Good massage also available in relaxing room. €50 Personally speaking, we dossed (an English word for lazing about) around the pool , helping ourselves to the well-stocked honesty bar, with the occasional beer/glass of wine, absorbed in a few good crime novels. Please note: after breakfast there is NO food available until 7pm. We knew that and brought along our own snacks, nuts etc. The evening menu is mainly cold, very good local produce - oh, please try the prawns (they hot). We tried almost everything on the menu during our stay - couldn't fault anything. My husband arrived completely knackered (another old-school word for tiredness) and after almost 4 days rooted to the place said he felt like the Six Million Dollar Man! Esta ultima ha sido mi tercera vez en el hotel y sin duda la más decepcionante. Hemos ocupado dos habitaciones durante tres dias. Seis noches en total. El motivo de mi disgusto es que solo se nos ha arreglado la habitación en tres ocasiones de las seis contratadas. Nuestros horarios han sido dejar las habitaciones a las diez de la mañana, regresar a las tres y volver a salir a las seis de la tarde. En mi opinión tiempo mas que de sobra para tener las habitaciones listas. Lo comunicamos en recepción y la respuesta fue que había que esperar a las siete de la tarde que es la hora límite de la limpieza. Añadir también que una tarde sin avisar entraron en la habitación de mis hijos con ellos dentro y a nosotros nos despertaron llamando a la puerta. Como refiero es la tercera vez que nos alojábamos en el hotel y hasta ahora muy bien, pero esta vez no ha sido así. Pagamos muchísimo dinero en un hotel de cuatro estrellas para pasar tres dias, puedo entender que el hotel esté lleno, pero si hace falta más personal se le debe contratar.

Das Hotel ist optisch sehr schön und in der Nähe vom Strand - allerdings voller Jugendlicher. Was uns im ersten Moment nicht störte doch bereits nach dem einchecken informieren wie die Rezeption, da im Zimmer nebenan stundenlang rumgeschrieen wurde. Nachdem wir abends vom Abendessen heimkamen waren die Jugendlichen noch immer sehr laut - mein Ehemann klopfte mehrmals und bat um Ruhe. Gegen zwei Uhr nachts sind die Jugendlichen unter vermutlich Drogen und oder Alkohol Konsum mehrfach gegen unsere Zimmer Türe gesprungen - auch über den Balkon versuchten sie in unser Zimmer zu gelangen. Wir haben mehrfach an der Rezeption angerufen und baten um Hilfe oder die Polizei zu rufen. Mittlerweile wurden es immer mehr Jugendliche und als mein Mann das letzte mal die Türe öffnete gingen sie auf ihn los. Bis ein hotel Mitarbeiter kam hatte mein Mann bereits eine offene Lippe sowie eine Platzwunde am Kopf. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel hatten die Situation nicht unter Kontrolle - anstelle die Polizei zu rufen (ich hatte auch alles gefilmt) und die Jugendlichen aus dem Hotel zu schmeißen, damit alle anderen Gäste in Ruhe schlafen können haben wir nur einen Eimer mit Eis bekommen. Wir mussten dann um 3 Uhr nachts das Hotel Zimmer wechseln um weitere Konflikte zu vermeiden - das Frühstücks Buffet am nächsten morgen durften wir ebenfalls erst besuchen, sobald die Gruppe abgereist ist. Der Hotel Manager hat nicht einmal mit uns gesprochen - eine Rückerstattung haben wir auch nicht erhalten. Das war wirklich das schlimmste Hotel in dem wir jemals waren! Für die Hotelgäste kann das Hotel nichts - allerdings für den Umhang der Situation schon. Wir würden daher nie wieder diesen Hotel buchen und werden nun auch die eigenständig Polizei einschalten.
