Hotel mit hervorragenden Einrichtungen. Der perfekte Ort, um die gute Zeit von Algarve zu genießen. Nahe einem fantastischen Strand. Das Paket von Choli war von Unterkünften und Frühstück. Der einzige Schwachpunkt war sogar die Qualität der Produkte im Frühstück. Die Saft sind sehr wenig Qualität, fast nicht vorhandene Mini-Küchen und viele schlechte Waffeln. Das Gleiche geschieht beim Abendessen. Wir haben beschlossen, im Hotel zu essen und das Buffet ist sehr schlecht und unqualitativ. Ich weiß nicht, ob es mit all-Paketen zusammenhängt, auch die meisten Gäste haben, aber ich denke, es ist ein Punkt, der für die Kundenzufriedenheit zu verbessern. Wir lieben es gleich, aber wenn ich zurückkomme, werde ich das Essen aus dem Hotel machen.

Nachdem wir die ersten 1-2 Nächte etwas Anlaufschwierigkeiten hatten (Zimmer etwas hellhörig bei sehr aktiven Nachbarn...;-)) haben wir uns wirklich unglaublich wohl gefühlt und hatten einen fabelhaften Aufenthalt. Das Hotel ist nicht zu groß, so dass alles im Hotel sehr übersichtlich und schnell zu erreichen ist. Der Poolbereich ist wirklich sehr schön. Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut. Es gibt natürlich entsprechende Hygienemaßnahmen, die aber nicht weiter stören, außer dass sehr viel Müll anfällt. Das a la Carte Restaurant bietet sowohl für Hotelgäste täglich ein individuelles 3 Gänge Menu (+ Brot und Gruß aus der Küche) für unschlagbare 20 Euro an, sowie raffinierte, teils gehobene à la Carte Speisen an. Live-Musik vielleicht etwas störend, wenn man in Ruhe essen will. Wenn man nur auf einem Drink im Restaurant ist, passt das perfekt:-) Wellnessbereich derzeit pandemiebedingt noch geschlossen. Das Hotel ist ”adult only”, was wir als wirklich sehr angenehm empfanden, da es einfach deutlich leiser in allen Bereichen ist Wir würden das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Parkplatzsituation. Die Parkplätze am Hotel sind meistens belegt. Tiefgarage gegen Gebühr von 5 Euro täglich. Man findet aber dafür problemlos Parkplätze an der Straße

The hotel was nicely decorated and designed. The pool area was very clean and a nice environment. The rooms were also clean, with comfortable beds and a good shower. Unfortunately when we arrived one of the rooms had an unpleasant smell. When we mentioned this at reception they said housekeeping would look into it, but nothing was mentioned further. We then found that the room door was faulty, and was not locking properly. When we returned from meals in the evening, we found the door ajar, despite being shut when we left. We mentioned this at reception, and again they said they'd look into it, but nothing was done, despite mentioning that we had valuables in the room. The obvious course of action would have been to fix it immediately, or move us to a different room, but neither was offered, which feels like quite a major issue. The offering at breakfast was good, and there were a few members of staff that were especially helpful and friendly in the Orangea restaurant. The food here was ok, but would recommend ordering simpler dishes. On the whole, our stay was enjoyable, but issues were not dealt with as they should have been, which would make us rethink returning.

Ich war 12 Tage in diesem Hotel und habe mich vom ersten Augenblick an sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage respektiert die Geschichte dieses ehemaligen Thunfisch-Fischerdorfes auf eine sehr angenehme Weise. Das Zimmer mit franz. Bett war einfach, aber gut ausgestattet (Minibar, Safe, TV), Terrasse mit Tisch und 2 Stühlen. Ich habe wunderbar geschlafen. Das Zimmer wurde täglich sehr gut gereinigt. Das Badezimmer war groß und stets sauber. Duschgel und Handwaschseife vorhanden, guter Duft. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und stets mit frischem Obst bestückt. Auch die vor Ort frisch gemachten Eiergerichte waren sehr lecker und die zubereitenden Köche gingen auf jeden Wunsch ein. Ich hatte nur Frühstück gebucht und war angenehm überrascht über die kleine, aber sehr feine Karte im à la carte Restaurant. Alles war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Ich war recht froh, dass ich hier gut zu Abend essen konnte, da das Hotel ja doch ein Stück von Tavira entfernt ist (was ich ja auch wollte). In der Bar (die Poolbar habe ich nicht besucht) kann man kleine Snacks (Hamburger, Sandwich etc.) essen, auch sehr gut, und auf der Terrasse den leckeren Wein genießen. Das Hotel bietet Mittwoch bis einschl. Sonntag einen kostenlosen Shuttleservice in die Stadtmitte von Tavira an (Zeiten sind prima). Wenn es mal später wird, kann man mit dem Taxi kostengünstig zurückfahren (ca. 9 Euro). Der Pool im Außenbereich ist toll und schon recht groß für ein Hotel (18 - 20 Kraulschläge). Die Anlage ist prima gepflegt. Die Animation bietet einiges, ist aber nicht aufdringlich. Mit dem kleinen Hotelboot (ca. 11 Plätze) kann man mehrmals täglich zur Ilha Tavira / Praia da Tavira überfahren (ca. 5 Minuten). Ab dem 3. Juni war es dann auch möglich, zur Praia da Terra Estreita zu fahren (ca. 15 Min.). Was ich nicht vergessen möchte: die Ria Formosa ist ein Eldorado. Wunderbar. Einfach loslaufen, beobachten, horchen und genießen. Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen und dem gesamten Personal ein dickes Lob aussprechen. Wenn möglich, komme ich gerne wieder.

Esta ultima ha sido mi tercera vez en el hotel y sin duda la más decepcionante. Hemos ocupado dos habitaciones durante tres dias. Seis noches en total. El motivo de mi disgusto es que solo se nos ha arreglado la habitación en tres ocasiones de las seis contratadas. Nuestros horarios han sido dejar las habitaciones a las diez de la mañana, regresar a las tres y volver a salir a las seis de la tarde. En mi opinión tiempo mas que de sobra para tener las habitaciones listas. Lo comunicamos en recepción y la respuesta fue que había que esperar a las siete de la tarde que es la hora límite de la limpieza. Añadir también que una tarde sin avisar entraron en la habitación de mis hijos con ellos dentro y a nosotros nos despertaron llamando a la puerta. Como refiero es la tercera vez que nos alojábamos en el hotel y hasta ahora muy bien, pero esta vez no ha sido así. Pagamos muchísimo dinero en un hotel de cuatro estrellas para pasar tres dias, puedo entender que el hotel esté lleno, pero si hace falta más personal se le debe contratar.

Making a return to this hotel was a pleasure for my friend and I . We had morning sun on our balcony with pool view, which was fine as the weather was very warm. The beds were comfortable but they creaked a lot ( the bases I think?) Storage space is limited but adequate. The safe was €17.50 for a week but it’s an expense we prefer for security. There is a hand pump for soap and showering/hair but we didn’t care for that, a bit harsh, so we bought soap and shampoo. Bring your own mini toiletries I would advise. Breakfast is wonderful, so much choice and the staff are so efficient and hard working to make sure everything is topped up. There is a problem with pigeons but efforts were being made to reduce the problem last week and any mess is mopped up very regularly. We had a very pleasant stay with friendly staff in the hotel and in the cafes/restaurants which are all within walking distance of the hotel. Brings comfortable shoes though as streets are all cobbled..

Uitstekend appartement, ruim, keuken met grill-magnetron, koffiezet apparaat, waterkoker, broodrooster, koelkast. Woongedeelte met bank, tafel met 4 stoelen, tv met erg veel zenders, maar slechts 1 Nederlandstalige (BVN). We zaten op de vijfde verdieping aan de zuidzijde waar de zon van ca 08.00 tot 15.00 uur op het grote balkon scheen. Slaapkamer met goed bed en voldoende kastruimte. Gratis kluisje. We konden ter plaatse dagelijks een perfect ontbijt bijboeken voor 7,50 p.p. dagelijkse schoonmaak en we kregen elke dag schone handdoeken. Er is een klein zwembad en fitnessruimte met o.a. Loopband en spinningfietsen.

Visited the Hotel as a couple in October for one week's holiday. 25c to 19c in their winter mths. Beautiful clean hotel, but very dated, large & small pools within hotel grounds, & lots of sunbeds but you were not allowed to eat around the pool and there was no waiter service for drinks you had to get up and go to cafe to order drinks yourself. Great views of restaurants & beach & lovely walkways from hotel. Meals in hotel were mainly fish dishes with a couple of days meat dishes. Ate mainly soup & salads as have a allergy to fish. Entertainment not very good, man on keyboard playing music from 40s & 50s not so good, then a Elvis impersonator who was appalling, missed words out of songs and slurred his words, believed he was drunk. Drinks very old fashioned no flavored gins, no cordials, no cider,only old fashioned cocktails plain gin, whisky, brandy, and their own beer. Happy hour between 5/6pm each day half price drinks. We enquired about cider as my partner is a celiac & could only drink cider, they then got him some from restaurant on the beach that they own. Lifts to our room only took two people, had to take your own cases to room no help from front desk. There was a games room and Tv/reading room where most pensioners read or slept during the day. Our room was opposite the Laundry room & at 9am every morning you heard the cleaning staff shouting & the radio switched on. We ate out at Willem cafe just up the road from hotel great food/drinks. At night we went to Tochans Irish bar which sold all types of drinks & had great music and asthmopher, & a great meal at the Blue Parrot worth a visited, lovely friendly restaurant. Airport was chaos no order just heared in to a group and find your own way about. Took 2hrs from getting off plane to getting through customs to getting our bags. Lovely weather though in winter, walking about in shorts and t/shirts, locals walking around in jumpers and wooly clothes. Would never return to that place, but if you are looking for a laid back relaxing hotel then that's the place to be.

If you're looking for a great place to chill Herdade da Corte is where you need to go. A Rio Grande style and feel about it, surrounded by fabulous hilly views, orange, lemon trees, olive groves, and pure adulterated silence. You hear the whisper of the breeze throughout the outdoor areas which have casual seating dotted about, a sweeping view, and a to die for salt-water pool. If you want 5 star service and a butler this isn't the place for you! Our favourite time of the day was a leisurely hour and half munching our way through the buffet breakfast, consisting of 4 different freshly made juices, a good selection of local produce, bread, rolls, pastries and cake, cheese, cold meats, fruits, yoghurt, and natural cereals - while idly looking out to the hills. There's also an array of teas, and the coffee is via a machine which is good - but goat's milk! We've travelled the world extensively and it's rare to find such a place. If you want to jazz up your time there Tavira is charming, along with Tavira Island. You do need a car if you stay at Herdade and want to visit many areas, however, we had read other reviews and knew that - but we just wanted to relax there and do nothing! We stayed 4 days and did venture out 1 afternoon to a restaurant in St Luzia. Local taxi, very nice driver. 20 euro each way (same prices to Tavira) about 15 minutes journey. The owners Joao and Francisco are cool, interesting guys, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area , local produce, wines, and activities to do there - hiking, etc. Good massage also available in relaxing room. €50 Personally speaking, we dossed (an English word for lazing about) around the pool , helping ourselves to the well-stocked honesty bar, with the occasional beer/glass of wine, absorbed in a few good crime novels. Please note: after breakfast there is NO food available until 7pm. We knew that and brought along our own snacks, nuts etc. The evening menu is mainly cold, very good local produce - oh, please try the prawns (they hot). We tried almost everything on the menu during our stay - couldn't fault anything. My husband arrived completely knackered (another old-school word for tiredness) and after almost 4 days rooted to the place said he felt like the Six Million Dollar Man! After a day or so staying here, you pickup a theme that this place just needs a big chunk of investment. The villas are rather run down and not matching the decor on the TUI site. Lots of little bodge repairs with exposed mains, lights fittings hanging on by 1 of the 4 screws, missing cupboard doors etc. some of the pictures are also of an unrelated restaurant business down by the beach. The beds themselves are terribly soft and uncomfortable and the “sofa” is just a single bed with two pillows. Unlike other guests, we were lucky enough to get aircon but only on one floor. Would have been unbearably hot for anyone without this! While the cooker was obviously a recent replacement, the kitchen utensils aren’t complete. No bowls, no coffee jug, no kettle, no tumblers or wine glasses, corkscrew not the right size to extract a cork etc. the list goes on. If you’re looking to have breakfast or an evening meal in the villa, you’ll struggle. The pool itself is a lovely temperature but very cloudy and remained so all week. Looks like the filter isn’t up to the job at hand and needs upgrading. While there’s a lovely area for lounging round the pool, there’s a chronic shortage of seats and parasols. You really need to be at the pool before 9:30 to reserve a parasol or you won’t get one all day. There’s easily enough space to triple the number of loungers and parasols and each day you see a steady stream of disappointed faces looking for shade. Some other reviewers have mentioned paying for loungers. This is no longer the case but you need someone to be poolside when they setup and unlock the loungers. The Nora eating area serves basic food but be prepared for a really long wait for service. The staff don’t seem to scan the room so you’re best off walking up to the bar to order and pay. Overall, I think we were lucky with the room and looking at other reviews and pics, I can understand guests frustration and it could have been worse. As a family, we enjoyed the week and learned how to work around the issues but it’s not somewhere I’d recommend and won’t be coming back. We’ve been to similarly priced accommodation in the Algarve on previous years so it’s definitely possible to get better value for your money
