Thoroughly excellent little hotel with great facilities and lovely staff. Extremely comfy beds and a well appointed, if quite small room. As others have mentioned it is located in a (sometimes) busy street but we never noticed any excess noise whatsoever. The roof terrace and plunge pool are an added bonus and the various sights and sounds of stunning Tavira are only a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

Great service - lovely interior and rooms cleaned daily - friendly staff and good location in the the pretty town of Tavira. Only suggestion would be to have umbrellas swimming pool on sunroof and perhaps more choice for breakfast but would def stay again 👍

We enjoyed our recent stay and really liked most things about the hotel. Good things - comfy bed, quality sheets and towels, hot strong shower, very good air con, great location within easy walk of the centre, Pingo supermarket, bars and restaurants & local railway station; friendly staff, generous tasty breakfast, blackout curtains, cleanliness, rooftop terrace, fairly good wifi, fridge and safe in room, quirky decor in foyer, fast response to emails. Niggles - v noisy neighbours above on 3 nights (outside hotel's control), noise from traffic right outside during the day (hotel being on a small but busy crossroads), only 4 coat hangers in the wardrobe to share between two people. We would return and thought it was good value.

We stayed in this new looking hotel only one night as a stopover on our roadtrip. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a shared balcony with a room next door and that I find a bit odd. However as we stayed only one night, it didn't matter. The service was good. Breakfast was maybe a bit below average with ready made breakfast trays. What was nice that there was free parking available next to the hotel.

Friendly and very helpful service. Room was simple, but had everything we needed: desk, closet, good bathroom, minibar that could keep a few things cool, everything clean. Some free non-alcoholic beverages were included, and breakfast was generous. Easy walk to the town center. Those who love quiet should know that the hotel is on a busy street corner and there is a good deal of traffic noise. Although there is music or TV in the lobby, we didn't hear it in our room.

Great value boutique hotel with excellent friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Beds very comfortable and bathroom spotlessly clean and spacious. Rooftop terrace is an excellent place to sunbathe. €20 refundable deposit to hire 2 beach towels for loungers.

My friend and I stayed in this gorgeous hotel, rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was fabulous. The location is just perfect for exploring Tavira with a supermarket just a stones throw away too. The rooftop pool was lovely, we were blessed with some gorgeous March sunshine so sat up there and relaxed- we could even see the flamingos grazing from there which was an added bonus. I recommend Tavira and this hotel with our any doubt, I will certainly be returning there.

This is a comfortable quirky hotel in a central location, handy for the river, cafes and bridges of Tavira. The rooms are spacious, clean and with good air con, although very slightly noisy. Beds are comfy, bedding and towels good quality, showers good. A few more hangers in wardrobe would be useful. Clean small roof terrace with a plunge pool useful to cool off in the heat. Hotel and area quiet at night. Good transport links. Carla and Anna and colleagues were friendly and welcoming and looked after us very well and served the special breakfast that Authentic Hotel is well known for. We were there is a heat wave and made great use of the ferry to Tavira Island for its lovely beaches. Certainly stay there again if I return to Tavira, and would recommend for a short stay.

A 2 star hotel with 5 star service. What a great find a fabulous hotel in a central location, clean and with amazing staff who really care. The rooms are spacious and well equipped (could do with some more storage for clothes) and very stylish. Special thanks to Ines Jesus on reception who took great care of us, especially when all the lights went out over Town! As it says its an authentic hotel with great style and even better staff...oh and the breakfast is worth having!
