Don’t stay here! These people are thieves from start to finish. In October 2022 I booked one room for two nights for January 2023, then a few days prior to arriving, booked an additional room for the two nights. The front desk claimed I never booked the rooms in October. I showed them the confirmation email, which they asked that I forward to them. They checked us in and told us they would sort it out and get back to me. They had me make a partial payment for the stay at check in. The next day they asked me when I was paying for the 2nd night. I told them I would pay anytime and asked if they had sorted out the reservation. They said yes and told me I owed 1,000 euro. Mind you the rooms are less than $100.00 usd per night, so this seems strange that the total could e anything greater than $400.00, but having already made a partial payment, this number was absurd. When I questioned it, they backtracked and told me I owed about 1,600 Durham per night (which was the reservation rate total for two nights for the room booked a few days before arriving). They then told me that same rate applied to the first booking, even though I have an email stating the room was 964 diram per night. They said that email was not from the hotel. I pointed out that it was their company’s email domain. They said Le Royal was a big company and they don’t know who sent that email - really???? At one point they brought someone they said was from central reservations. He just kept pointing to a piece of paper and refusing to listen or discuss the issue. I opened my laptop and showed them they are marketing the rate for 890dirham that night (about 100 dirham less than what my confirmation listed) and asked why I would pay twice that…it was at this point the stupid little man from ‘central reservations’ ran out the front door, leaving me again to deal with the front desk. The staff were rude, indignant and unprofessional, but clearly skilled thrives - Le Royal should be proud of the team they have assemble at this outdated antique. Nothing nice or impressive about this hotel, but with the added thievery, definitely a place to avoid. Unless you really want to seek crooks in action, sleeping in the streets of Tangier would be a better experience than this place. Save your money, self respect, and time by staying elsewhere. Worst hotel experience in Morocco, ever (and I have stayed in a lot of Moroccan hotels)!

Good. BUT could be much better Facilities are great Cleanliness good Breakfast choice very good, but go early as later on it’s been out too long and items are drying out and curling at the corners Service sometimes excellent ( bar team very good), sometimes indifferent. Didn’t have evening meal so cannot comment. Very poor experience with hotel concierge. Ordered taxi to Ceuta and told it would be two hours because they were providing a ‘special car’, at a special price. 800 instead of normal taxi MAD 500. Turned out it was the concierge relative driving one of a thousand similar taxis. Why make your guest wait 2 hours to line your family pocket? I know it’s Morocco, but it’s a 5 star hotel supposed to be providing 5 star service. I don’t expect to have to be on my guard for being scammed in a hotel like this, it is what you expect if your flagging down a taxi, which we did on another occasion, and received better service from. The last experience from a hotel is your overriding memory, you spoilt ours with a street scam. Otherwise I’d have given 5 star rating.

Mamora Bay war eine GREAT Erfahrung für uns. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet und das Personal ist oben Par. Wir sind am späten Flug um fast 2:00 Uhr morgens angekommen. Die Mitarbeiter in Mamora Bay organisierten ein Taxi für die Abholung und der Kollege wartete auf uns (dies war nach mehreren Änderungen aufgrund einer Flugannullierung, und die Kommunikation mit dem Personal war rechtzeitig und klar). Die Kosten für den Taxi waren eine normale Gebühr und nicht eine überpreiste Gebühr - nach meinem Cousin, der dort wohnt. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten in ihnen. Jedes Zimmer hatte ein funktionierendes Klimaanlage und die Dusche hatte großer Druck und heißes Wasser. Die Betten waren ziemlich fest, aber ich habe gehört, dass es die Norm ist. Frühstück war wunderbar und wir machten unseren armen Server wiederholt für mehr Kaffee zurück. Er servierte uns immer mit einem Lächeln und spielte sich über unsere Liebe zum Kaffee. Mamora Bay ist GREAT VALUE in einem GREAT PLACE mit GREAT STAFF. Ich empfehle sehr, hier zu bleiben.

Dies war ein schwieriger Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Hotel schien nicht auf die Jahreszeit eingestellt zu sein und war stark vom Ramadan betroffen. Das Schlafzimmer war einfach, aber sauber und komfortabel. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht, aber das machte nichts. Es war laut, nicht vom Hotel, sondern von der Straße draußen, da die Leute nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit bis etwa 02:45 Uhr auf die Straße zu gehen schienen. Das Abendessen war in Ordnung, obwohl es im ganzen Hotel nur 1 Flasche Wein und ungefähr 4 Flaschen Bier gab. Wir waren 20 in unserer Gruppe und andere Gäste, die dort übernachteten. Es gab nur ungefähr 4 kleine Flaschen Erfrischungsgetränk zu kaufen. Die Bar öffnete erst am zweiten Abend. Das Frühstück war am ersten Tag schlecht und am zweiten Tag noch schlechter. Es gab einen Kellner, der sehr langsam arbeitete. 1 Kanne Kaffee für 20 Personen, die natürlich schnell ausging, nicht genug Tassen und nicht genug Frühstück. Am zweiten Tag war auch noch eine andere Gruppe da und als wir um 08:00 Uhr ankamen, gab es kein Frühstück mehr, keinen Kaffee, kein heißes Wasser und nicht einmal Müsli. Später am Tag kauften wir uns am Bahnhof Frühstück. Zwar konnten wir den Ramadan verschmerzen, aber das entschuldigte nicht das Problem mit dem Frühstück, das inakzeptabel war.

Das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel, ich kann mich ausruhen. Es gibt ein wunderschönes marokkanisches Restaurant in der Nähe. Aber es ist etwas weit von der Bushaltestelle entfernt, und es ist schwer, auf dem Weg zu gehen, der sich in der Nähe befindet.

Vorteile: Die Lage ist direkt am Meer 2. Es gibt auch chinesische Restaurants in der Nähe, marokkanisches chinesisches Essen ist sehr teuer 3. Billig 4. Der Reinigungsservice ist schnell 5. Freundlicher Empfang Nachteile: 1. Das Hotel entspricht einem Express-Hotel mit kleinen Zimmern und einer unhöflichen Rezeption 2. Ein Teil des Raumes war staubig. Mehrere Mitglieder sagten, sie hätten Flöhe und könnten nicht gut schlafen.

Einer der besten Orte in Tangier.. Un großer Dank an das ganze Team dort für ihre Professionalität und die Art und Weise, um unsere Sachen zu behandeln. Sie sind immer vorhanden, wenn es nötig und vor allem das Frontbüro und Gastteam :)

Das Hotel liegt etwas weit von der Innenstadt von Tanger entfernt. Glücklicherweise verfügt das Hotel über Geschäftsautos zu verschiedenen Orten in der Stadt. Das Hotel fährt stündlich ab und die Rückfahrt dauert eine halbe Stunde an der Abgabestelle, was sehr praktisch ist. Wir buchten ein Zimmer mit drei Schlafzimmern und einem Zimmer mit Meerblick. Das Wohnzimmer war groß, mit einem Dreisitzer-Sofa und zwei Einzelsofas sowie einem runden Tisch. Voll ausgestattete Küchenpfannen und Pfannen. Darüber hinaus ist das Hotelfrühstück das beste und reichste aller Hotels auf dem Weg.
