Our stay at the Rydges Hotel was enjoyable. The location is ideal for accessing local amenities, public transportation, and attractions. We were allowed to check in early because we arrived at 11 a.m. The staff is warm and pleasant, and the check-in and check-out procedures went well. The only negative is that the carpeted floor needs to be thoroughly steam cleaned because it causes itching skin. Other than that, the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable.

Hotel was 3 minutes away from Central Station via walking, convenient for trains and light rail access. It is walking distance to Surry Hills for the famous Bills Restaurant as well. For Chinatown/CBD, it is about 10-15 minutes walk, do-able walking. Room was clean and staff were courteous.

the location is great. about 5 mins from the Central Station. the cleanliness is okay in general. i stayed 3 nights here , but i m not sure why my room had not been cleaned and tidied up while i have hanged the clean my room sign on my door before i left the hotel in the morning. it hasn’t been clean when i was back in late pm. i called the reception asked for a set of new towels but the staff sounded surprised of what i asked. they did gimme a new towel at last.

service is very good, but the location is a bit not convenient for travelers. It was a bit dark on that street during the night.

I would highly recommend this Hotel - I have to travel to Sydney regularly for Business and its location near Central Station makes it an ideal hub. The staff are friendly and the management especially -Nick Thapa are responsive to any needs or concerns. Loved my stay and also enjoyed using Trip.com for the first time to book my stay.
