Das Hotel liegt fantastisch, mitten im Herzen der Einkaufsstraße, was es unglaublich praktisch zum Shoppen, Essen und Sightseeing macht. Der Strand ist nur wenige Schritte vom Poolbereich im ersten Stock entfernt. Die Restaurants mit Meerblick im ersten und zweiten Stock sind für ihre atemberaubende Aussicht bekannt, daher muss man beim Abendessen oft mit Wartezeiten rechnen. Das Zimmer war riesig; ich hatte ein Zimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und Meerblick gebucht, und das Bett war unglaublich bequem. Auch auf dem Balkon zu sitzen und den Meerblick zu genießen, war sehr angenehm.

Das Check-in-Erlebnis war schlimmer als erwartet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis finde ich persönlich nicht sehr hoch. Die Bewertungen waren relativ hoch, als ich es buchte, und es gibt nicht viele Hotels mit Privatstränden in Waikiki Beach. Als ich ankam, sah ich, dass der Hotelstrand so klein ist, dass er besser ist als nichts. Wenn man die Hauptstraße nimmt, ist es immer noch nicht in der Nähe von Waikiki Beach. Es ist in Ordnung, ein paar Hotels nebenan zu besuchen, beispielsweise das Sheraton. In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche kommerzielle Einrichtungen und Essen und Einkaufen sind sehr bequem möglich. Unten gibt es einen ABC-Laden, in dem Sie ganz praktisch Snacks, Frühstück, Obst und Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs kaufen können. Die Zimmer in den Hotels auf Hawaii sind klein und der Sanitärbereich ist weder gut noch schlecht. Es gibt im Hotel nur einen kleinen Swimmingpool und drei kleine beheizte Pools. Kurz gesagt, das Hotel ist insgesamt nicht besonders groß und ich werde dieses Hotel beim nächsten Mal wahrscheinlich nicht wählen.

Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commi**ent to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

Vielleicht lag es daran, dass ich aus einem Luxushotel am Waikiki Beach kam, aber der Lärm war unerträglich. Nicht das Hotel selbst war so laut, sondern die Umgebung. Ich habe schließlich mit Musik und Ohrstöpseln geschlafen (lacht). Beim Einchecken bekam ich die falsche Zimmerkarte, wodurch der Aufzug stehen blieb, und ich geriet in Panik. Das Zimmer war recht geräumig und die Einrichtung war in Ordnung, aber es lagen Haare auf dem Boden, und es war nicht besonders sauber. Die Reinigungskraft, die mich ansprach, während ich auf den Aufzug wartete, war jedoch unglaublich freundlich, die Leute dort sind also nett. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass es nur ein kurzer Spaziergang zum Waikiki Beach ist und ich es für eine gute Option für alle halte, die bei den Übernachtungskosten sparen möchten.

Central location near Waikiki beach. The Ocean view rooms can see the beach from the room. Restaurants are within walkable distance. Staff are friendly. Free bottled water provided (2 bottle in each room and 2 bottles at check in). The only downside is the noise from the street and from the pool can be bothersome if you are sensitive to.

Es ist in Ordnung. Das Hotel ist sehr neu, aber die Baumaterialien sind relativ günstig und der Preis ist akzeptabel. Das Zimmer verfügt über einen Wasserkocher (andere amerikanische Hotels haben diesen nicht). Alles in allem ist es in Ordnung! Das Badezimmer ist sehr groß und das Schlafsofa ist sehr weich!

뷰 하나는 진짜 끝내줍니다 이거 때문에 간다 할 정도로 다이아몬드 헤드와 오션뷰가 난리납니다 4성급에 이 정도 없습니다 하지만 아쉬웠던건 하우스 키핑이 이틀에 한번 해주고 수건은 새로 채워주는데 이불을 갈아주지 않는것같습니다. 나가기전에 얼룩이 있는걸 확인했는데 하우스 키핑후에 들어왔을때 정리되어있는 이불을 뵜는데 같은 위치에 얼룩이 있는걸 확인했습니다. 주차는 5일해서 290불 정도 줬고 발렛이라 차 찾을땐 팁도 줘야해서 부담되시는 분들을 주변 무료주차 찾아서 하세요 저는 귀찮아서 그냥 발렛 주차 했습니다. 와이키키 도보 10분 안쪽이고 직원들은 대부분 착했습니다.

1) The escalator leading from the lobby to the mezzanine level was out of order. Given the makeshift barrier on the mezzanine level, it looked like the escalator had been out of commission for some time. Quite a shame from a convenience standpoint. 2) I had checked into the hotel after midnight because of a flight delay so I was pretty exhausted and fell asleep quickly after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, etc. I woke up in the middle of my first night's stay noticing a foul odor. After walking around the room and initially thinking it was coming from the A/C vent, I pinpointed the origin of the bad smell to the linens: the pillowcases, sheets, blanket. It smelled like a dirty wet sponge or clothes that never dried completely but were put back in the dresser drawer. I pulled all of the linens off the bed and left a note for housekeeping to replace them because of a foul odor. They did and it was fine the rest of my stay, but the point is I never should have had to do that. 3) Upon returning from my uncle's funeral Saturday night, to my dismay I found 20-30 cars that had been double-parked by the valets in the hotel parking lot. After circling the lot several times in the hopes of catching someone leaving but having no success, I decided to look into valet parking, figuring that since I was a hotel guest they would have something worked out. When the valet told me the valet fee was $49 even for hotel guests I was flabbergasted and declined. He instructed me to go back to the parking garage and speak to the parking attendant to ask about my parking options. When I got there, the parking attendant initially refused to come out of his booth to help me so I had to enter the garage, go all the way around to the exit and talk to him so that he didn't have to leave his booth. He pointed at a white car parked outside and told me to look for parking ”around there.” I asked him if that was assigned to the hotel, because I did not want to wake up tomorrow morning to discover that my rental car had been towed or impounded. He did not convince me that this was not a possibility so I parked the car where he instructed me to, took photos of the area, and went to the hotel registration desk to look further into the parking situation. The signage was also not clear. When I got to the registration desk, I was helped by an employee who seemed to have a French accent. He was definitely European, with very short hair. I explained what had just happened with the parking and he told me that the hotel did not have ”jurisdiction” over that parking area and he could not guarantee me that my car would not be towed. There happened to be another employee, a local guy, just finishing a transaction with a hotel guest so I moved one station over and asked him the same question. He clarified the situation and explained that that outside parking area (in the middle, under the ramp) was overflow parking for the hotel, and, as long as my hotel parking pass was clearly displayed, my car could remain there for the duration of my stay.

Das Hotel wurde in den letzten Jahren von neuen Besitzern renoviert. Der Poolbereich ist nun besser gepflegt und wird von einem ständig anwesenden, engagierten Team betreut. Der Pool ist groß und schön gelegen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Schatten, der durch zahlreiche Sonnenschirme und schattenspendende Bäume gespendet wird. Speisen und Getränke werden direkt an Ihre Liege serviert. Die mittelgroßen Zimmer sind ideal für zwei Personen und verfügen über eine geräumige Veranda. Die Betten sind komfortabel und mit vielen Kissen ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer ist kompakt und mit einer Dusche über der Badewanne ausgestattet. Die Zimmerbeleuchtung ist dimmbar und ein Wasserkocher ist auf Anfrage erhältlich. Ein Safe ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Der Kühlschrank ist klein – er enthält lediglich sechs Dosen, Milch und ein paar Joghurts. Es handelt sich um das beste Budget-Hotel in Waikiki, wobei Budget heutzutage leider immer noch nicht gerade günstig ist. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, bei dem das Pool-Team das i-Tüpfelchen darstellte.

The hotel is 1 block away from the beach. Everything was accessible by walk. Room was clean and big enough. I stayed partial ocean view room and it was pleasant to watch Diamond Head and Sunset from the room. We stayed 4 nights but there was no house keeping service during our stay. But we could ask extra towels and toiletries when needed. Good value for money. I recommend.
