English review (polished & natural): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If there were 10 stars, I would definitely give this hotel all 10. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin, because everything was simply amazing. The location is very convenient, close to Shuangqiao Valley. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. The heating system works quickly and efficiently, keeping the room very warm, which is extremely important in this area. Oxygen is also provided whenever we had health issues due to the altitude — there was truly nothing missing. During our entire trip from Chengdu until arriving here, this was the first time we met a host who spoke excellent English. She was incredibly kind, patient, and caring. Her husband even drove us around after our original booking was already completed. For the next day, I had booked another hotel. Although the room rate was higher, their conditions were unreasonable, and they even refused to provide transportation. Because we are not familiar with the local language, the owner of ShanShangShan Hotel and her husband went out of their way to help us and communicate on our behalf. In the end, ShanShangShan was the one who took care of us and gave us a ride. Now, as I am lying in another hotel writing this review, I truly regret not staying longer at ShanShangShan. The food here was also delicious, and the chef was extremely friendly and lovely. We felt incredibly comfortable, happy, and relaxed during our stay. Every corner of the room was carefully prepared, thoughtful, and very convenient. This hotel is not just a place to stay — it genuinely feels like being taken care of.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mount Siguniang. The views are amazing, and the staff are passionate, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast is both healthy and filling, which is especially helpful in coping with high altitude sickness. There is also an oxygen machine available in the room if needed. Every day, the hotel provides four bottles of mineral water, and you can always request more if necessary. The owner personally picks guests up and drops them off, making transportation very convenient. They also offer plenty of helpful advice and make you feel right at home. The scenery is superb, and the cleanliness is excellent. We stayed at this hotel from 17 to 18 May 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The interior design of the room was both beautiful and thoughtfully done, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Every detail in the room reflected care and style, and the amenities provided were complete and well-considered. The hotel’s shared living room was another highlight — tastefully decorated and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also a lovely surprise: nicely presented, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. One of the most heartwarming parts of our stay was meeting three friendly furry companions — the owner’s Husky and the two neighbor’s Golden Retriever. All the dogs were gentle and playful, bringing a unique warmth to our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind, always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, this hotel offered not just a place to stay, but a memorable and heartfelt experience. We’d gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

Alles war gut gepflegt und die Atmosphäre war während des Aufenthalts gemütlich. Es war der perfekte Ort, nach einem langen Tag zu entspannen. Das Personal war auch freundlich und willkommen, was die Erfahrung noch besser machte. Alles überstieg meine Erwartungen. Ich würde dieses Hotel definitiv empfehlen, jemanden zu suchen, der einen ruhigen Aufenthalt mit unvergesslicher Bergblick sucht.

What a pleasant surprise! Nestled quietly in the mountains, this place offers views that are simply breathtaking. If you're looking for peace, fresh air, and stunning scenery, this is it. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It comes equipped with heating and hot water, which is all you need in this cool mountain climate. There's no air-conditioning, but honestly, it isn't necessary as temperatures remain comfortable throughout the year. Since the property is located away from town, there's an in-house chef (20yrs of experience under his belt) who prepares meals from a menu with a good selection of dishes. Prices are very reasonable, and the food was absolutely delicious. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. This is an excellent base for anyone planning to hike or explore the surrounding snow-capped mountains. The location is peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. One unexpected bonus was the excellent projector setup with a surprisingly good sound system and access to the latest movies. After a long day of hiking, there's nothing better than returning to a warm room, enjoying a freshly cooked meal, and ending the evening with a movie. The property also offers private parking, which is very convenient. Overall, an amazing stay. One of those places that makes you want to extend your trip and stay a little longer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

„In Siguniangshan habe ich in einem entspannenden Hotel an einer Klippe übernachtet – die Erfahrung hat meine Erwartungen weit übertroffen!“ Der Aufenthalt im Vala Toms Cliff Stream Hotel war die angenehmste Überraschung meiner Reise. Das Hotel liegt im Landschaftsgebiet, und vor meinem Fenster bot sich ein atemberaubender Blick auf die Klippen und den Bach. Beim Aufwachen fühlte ich mich wie in einem Wolkenmärchenland. Besonderer Dank gilt Frau Huang vom Kundenservice – von der Buchung bis zur Abreise war ihr Service immer aufmerksam und herzlich. Als wir auf dem Hochplateau ankamen, fühlten wir uns etwas unwohl. Sie bereitete proaktiv Ingwertee mit braunem Zucker und tragbaren Sauerstoff vor und erinnerte uns geduldig an die Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht sowie an die Vorsichtsmaßnahmen beim Wandern. Jedes Mal, wenn wir sie trafen, hatte sie ein aufrichtiges Lächeln auf den Lippen, was uns das Gefühl gab, wie Familienmitglieder umsorgt zu werden. Auch das Essen war beeindruckend! Ich hatte erwartet, dass die Auswahl an Restaurants im Landschaftsgebiet begrenzt sein würde, aber die Küche des Hotels war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Der Yak-Hotpot war wärmend und köstlich, die Gerstenpfannkuchen waren knusprig und nicht fettig, und selbst das einfache gebratene Gemüse hatte den typischen „Wok-Aroma“. Die Zutaten waren frisch und der Geschmack authentisch. Nach jeder Wanderung freute ich mich am meisten auf ein gutes Essen. Wenn Sie nach Siguniangshan kommen, kann ich dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen – nicht nur wegen der atemberaubenden Landschaft, sondern auch wegen dieser menschlichen Erfahrung. The Hotel is located in Siguniangshan Village for tourists which means you will be conveniently located to the.national park entrance. If you are going in the fall or winter make sure you are prepared for cold weather; although the hotel has heard floors! A great added luxury.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel where the welcome was incredible, the breakfasts were very generous, and the location was perfect for doing activities around Mount Siguniang!!! I will definitely return to this hotel on my next stay here.
