4-Sterne-Hotels in Jinan

I'm an American here in China studying kung fu for the year and took a trip to Jinan for a short weekend getaway to unwind a bit. I really enjoyed the Atour Light hotel! It's my second time staying in an Atour hotel and I have once again been left wanting for nothing. My Chinese is actually atrocious but the front desk staff was helpful and kind. The room was clean and, I must say, I generally really hate bathrooms and need to wear a pair of slippers just to enter the facility but this has not been the case at either of the Atour hotels I've stayed at. The ambience is great, the amenities perfect for what I was looking for, and the location beyond excellent. Local food stops right outside the gate of the hotel and, if you're a westerner looking for something familiar, McDonald's is right around the corner too. No need for that though, the local feed hits the spot. All that to say, I have no complaints. Great service, great room, great location. 10/10 recommend.

Ausgezeichneter Ort zum Aufenthalt! Sehr nahe der Jinan West Eisenbahnstation, es gibt günstige Geschäfte in der Nähe, und auch Restaurants. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Das Fitness- und Waschraum ist gut. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und wichtiger ist, dass ihre Toiletten Bidet haben!

Great place to stay. The location is close to Jinan railways station and K88 neaby malls. The room and toilet is clean (no bidet). I chose the non-smoking room and the room is clear from any cigarette smoke. However, there are people smoking in the corridor at night and the cigarette smoke enters the room. For someone who’s very sensitive to cigarette smoke, it’s not a convenient place to stay.

The service was excellent. When I got lost, they even came to fetch me from my DiDi, which I really appreciated. The staff were very kind and friendly throughout my stay. It was my first time in Jinan, and I would definitely recommend this place. The location is great and very foreigner-friendly.🌹🌹

Rooms: Good size room, 6/F partly refurbished (especially electrics, carpets), 4/F not done. They have an executive lounge but it is just a lounge, no benefits that you get in other hotels. Facilities: 2/F has pool tables, table tennis, card/mahjong rooms, gym; Floor B1 has a huge pool. All quite busy as they allow members of the public to pay to use. Breakfast: Good, some western options. RMB40/pax at hotel. Location: Perfect. easy walk to Daming Lake, Kuanhouli, Black Tiger Spring, shops. It is on the route of the Tourist shuttle bus which costs RMB5/day and goes to all the main sites. Frequent at weekends, less so weekdays. Restaurants: Lots around hotel. South to malls on Quancheng Road where there are lots of all you can eat hotpot and BBQ. Also south to Kuanhouli, the snack street and some good restaurants (Huixian Floor Restaurant). North is the famous Shandong restaurant: Kui Sheng Ju. There was always a queue so we went to a similar restaurant across the street from it. Also next to it is the Jia Chuan Min Guangzhou restaurant which is excellent. Service: We had a problem with the shower on 6/F as water pressure was very low or just cut out altogether. Initially we asked the front desk staff to sort it out but not much happened. Then asked the duty manager and he was very helpful and moved us to a suite on the 4/F. So if you have a problem, make sure you ask for some one in authority and the service will be excellent. Language: Mandarin only Will defintely consider again if we return to Jinan.

I would like to extend my special thanks to Chu Yi at the Garden Road branch near Daming Lake in Jinan. As a foreigner on a solo business trip to China, when my phone couldn't connect to the local network, it meant I had no way to pay for anything. I couldn't buy food, couldn't get around, and was completely cut off from the outside world. I was filled with a sense of helplessness being alone in a foreign land. Upon hearing this, the hotel staff immediately contacted a nearby China Unicom service center where I could get a SIM card using my passport. The next morning, Ms. Chu Yi from the front desk, concerned about my language barrier and difficulty getting around, proactively offered to accompany me to the service center to help with the procedures. The moment my phone successfully connected to the network, what I felt was not just the restoration of a signal, but a profound sense of relief. This warmth continued throughout my entire stay: the housekeeping staff thoughtfully prepared a power adapter in my room; the restaurant staff enthusiastically recommended delicious and agreeable dishes during my meals. From Chu Yi's exceptional initiative at the front desk to the meticulous and warm service from housekeeping and the restaurant, your actions perfectly embodied the meaning of ”a home away from home.” This transcends nationality—it's all about heartfelt care. Jinan is a warm city, but Atour is even warmer. On all my future business trips to China, I will definitely choose to stay at Atour. I wish Atour and the wonderful Ms. Chu Yi all the best

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Seine Lage ist perfekt im Herzen der Stadt, in der Nähe von großen Attraktionen und großen Restaurants. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, so dass ich mich wirklich willkommen und gut für meine Reise sorgen konnte.

Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte keinen Geruch. Wir hatten die Betten geteilt, bevor wir eincheckten. Wir waren sehr rücksichtsvoll und stellten einen Reiseführer zur Verfügung. Xiaodu steuert Lichter und Vorhänge elektronisch und gefällt den Kindern sehr gut. Das Frühstück in der Cafeteria ist super, vor allem die frittierten Teigstangen. Der Mann in der Lobby war sehr anspruchsvoll und half mir, mein Gepäck im Auto zu verstauen, als ich abreiste. Daumen hoch 👍🏻Das Hotel liegt im Stadtzentrum, nur 15-20 Gehminuten vom Daming-See entfernt (man kann gemütlich mit Kindern und älteren Menschen spazieren gehen) und noch näher am Jiefang-Pavillon, der Black Tiger Spring usw Kuanhouli, nur 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Wenn Sie erneut nach Jinan kommen, können Sie sich für Zhonghao entscheiden.

Reception, location and room are great for the price you pay. My gripe is with the breakfast reception. We entered and told them our room number. Just before getting our food, the lady told us that someone has claimed the breakfast with our room number and we cannot eat here unless we pay extra for our meal. Even though I insisted we haven't eaten and we are the actual occupants, the lady repeated a few times that the breakfast has been claimed and we can't eat. Eventually she relented when I told her to take a look at my friend who is clearly a foreigner and insisted that she check the CCTV. I get that mix-ups are probably rare, but to immediately insinuate that we are thiefs who are trying to take advantage of (a pretty mediocre) hotel breakfast at an airport hotel is unbelievable. Especially given that my friend is clearly not of East Asian descent! It left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. I don't know why the SOP isn't to make sure that we are the actual guests and give us benefit of doubt.
