Very run down hotels with poor maintenance. Needed to change room thrice. The lifts are shaky and very old - poorly maintained. Very awkward to climb entrance with so many stairs. No ac outside of the room . Too hot during summer .Toilets are old fashioned and some of them are difficult to use the commode. We found water from the tap brown in colour and needed help to change filtered bottle water. Shower is again very old and black stained in places. Good breakfast and food in general . The bedroom we had did not have any safe locker and no bed side lamp . Poorly planned obsolete lighting system. One of the popular Restaurent didn’t have any AC . I belief the hotel is already renovating some floors and may be able to use good spaces all around . Most importantly change the furnitures and showers/ toilets. Only strength of the hotel are the staff who are very friendly and helpful .

立地は新市街のグルジャン地区にある、その中心地のウェスティンホテルがあるところまでは徒歩10分くらい。他の人の口コミにも結構あるように目の前は川だしお国柄で蚊は仕方ないかも。確かに蚊は締め切っていても天井に穴が開いていてそこから入ってきました。口コミ見ていたので蚊がいなくなるスプレー持っていて数回プッシュしたところそれから蚊を一切見なくなりました。非常にオススメします。

Mein jüngster Aufenthalt war sowohl positiv als auch negativ. Der Ein- und Auscheck-Prozess war reibungslos, schnell und sehr gut verwaltet, was die Gesamterfahrung angemessen machte. Das Hotel ist warm und komfortabel, das wirklich das Gefühl, zu Hause zu sein. Allerdings gab es ein paar enttäuschende Aspekte. Die Frühstücksoptionen waren ziemlich begrenzt und konnten mit mehr Variabilität verbessert werden. Die Mattressqualität war schlecht, und leider erlebe ich nach dem Aufenthalt immer noch Rückschmerzen. Die Toiletten waren auch unter den Erwartungen hinsichtlich der Qualität. Das Hotel verfügt über eine weltbewußte Atmosphäre und einen effizienten Service, aber Verbesserungen im Zimmerkomfort, Frühstück und Einrichtungen würden die Erfahrung viel besser machen.

Hotel Shuktara provided excellent service, with clean, safe - newly painted small basic rooms but with everything you may need. Cost effective option situated in Dhaka, behavior of the staff was excellent and Shahin was very kind. Hotel staff was available if you have any questions or concerns. They were always helpful, provided small currency exchange, daily room service, held luggage after check out and can coordinate CNG or rickshaws. There is 24/7 front desk and security outside the building. Buffet breakfast was plentiful of options which varied a bit every day. Free water refills at restaurant during breakfast, water bottles provided by daily housekeeping, tea kettle and mini fridge in room, WiFi worked great. Location was good to explore some of Dhaka during the day, however it’s unadvisable to be out in the area late. There’s two restaurants in the building, Starlight provided great attentive service and was a very hygienic restaurant. I can recommend this hotel if you’re looking for an affordable budget accommodation in Dhaka.

Достойный отель в престижном районе. Есть все удобства. Косметически - номер вполне нормальный, но есть недочеты (гладильная доска не была прикручена в шкафу, пришлось гладить на кровати. В ванной комнате инсталляция за унитазом была в плачевном состоянии- требует ремонта) Бассейн был не чищен, увы - не искупался. А в остальном - за свою стоимость хороший вариант.

I booked the hotel 3 days before my trip and paid $40 for 1 night. After 2 days I called the hotel to check my confirmation. They said they didn't get any confirmation. After double checking they couldn't find any booking for me. If I go to their hotel, I will have to pay again. Then I gave them the receipt of payment. Then their manager contacted me and said that a third party agent hacked their account and they took all the payments. So they couldn't find my booking. After about 12 hours the issue was resolved. They said that I don't have to pay anymore. But they didn't provide free airport pick-up and drop-off. When I booked the hotel, it was shown that they had free airport pick-up and drop-off. However, their service was good and the room was clean. But the food was very expensive.

Das Zimmer war wunderschön, und vor allem der Service des Personals war hervorragend. Ich wurde jedes Mal freundlich begrüßt. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Die Unterkunft ist von vernünftiger Qualität und billiger. Die Fotos auf der Online-Reservierungswebsite scheinen sehr sauber, aber eigentlich nicht sehr gut. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit, weil die Kosten niedrig sind. Bezüglich der WiFi-Verbindung kann ich eine reibungslose Verbindung herstellen.

Absolutely tops in terms of service/ helpfulness! Hotel manager snd staff sorted out a complicated issue involving our booking and refused to take or ask for any money from us over the 5 days we stayed - even upgrading us to a suite for the final two nights when one became available. Staff speak English - and are helpful in providing Information about getting around, arranging transportation and laundry. A lovely rooftop cafe - a green oasis- and Taste Snacks. A Full Range of Bengali dishes as well as western food is also avsilable. And all this for less than 50CAD - very good value! The hotel is located near the Old City- easily accessible by taxi, tuktuk or rickshaw- also BaileyRoad is within easy walking distance, a quieter tree lined street and New Bailey Road with Shopping Restaurants etc though these are also available in a buzzier context in the streets surrounding the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel and Return again- Note the address at 873 Outer Circular Road( not the one on listing we saw/ booked located several hundred meters away, at 12 Outer Circular Road. The hotels are not linked, whatever you are told by the latter. And actual Grand Circle Inn at 873 is of higher standard/ quality…
