2-Sterne-Hotels in Nikkō

Excellent price-performance ratio hotel with the best logistics you can have in Kinugawa. The facilities with garden are fresh, service is top grade. As for onsen, it is separated, but it has only one bath, which is expected from tiny hotels. The only little nuisance you can encounter is the late night noise coming from opening doors. Overall the experience was outstanding, I will choose this place again.

The guesthouse is quite a way from Nikko town (10-15 mins by bus / 1 hour walk) but is in a good location for getting to the shrines or to Lake Ashi - there's a bus stop close by. The guesthouse was homely and had 2 private onsen. Our room was comfortable enough although the en-suite was very tiny! The host was welcoming but didn't speak any English which meant we had to communicate by translating on our phones. We booked to have breakfast at the guesthouse, but didn't realise that for booking the dinner we needed to give 24 hours+ notice so missed out!

Die japanischen kleinen Volksgruppen kommen zu wenig zustande. Jedes Mal, wenn sie sich auf den Kopf halten, ist dies eine Information, die sehr zu empfehlen ist. Die Hygienebedingungen und die Hitzeeinrichtungen sind den Erwartungen entsprechen. Die größte Überraschung ist die Lage, die Tür ist in der Masse und einzigartig voller Tür, die Gepäck abstellt, die Attraktion eines Menschen, der leer ist, ist schnell gebrochen. Es ist ein schwaches Wassergeräusch im Ohr, vor dem Auge ist eine Reihe von verschiedenen Standpunkten, die sich an der Pizza setzen, Das ist eine mysteriöse Erfahrung. Zur Station, ein bisschen ungünstig, zurück zum Auto zu fahren, der Preis ist akzeptabel, der Einweg ist ca. 1500 yen.

We were hosted by an elderly couple, and his family members. They were super cute, friendly and polite. It's like their small family business, ground floor was a western restaurant, second floor onwards were all the guest rooms. They know a bit of English, so the communication wise no issue at all. What we love about this stay is that other than the room with gorgeous lake view, the host was super helpful to allow us to store our luggage with them even way before our check-in timing. Furthermore he even offer to send us to the laundry shop, when we just casually ask him about the laundry. What actually surprised me the most, was that he even FETCH us from the laundry shop after we were done. Will definitely come back to this place again if I'm in Nikko! Thumbs up! Super host!! 😁

I went to Yumoto for hiking and found this wonderful place. The staffs are very helpful. Although, they cannot fully communicate in English. They are trying their best to make sure my stay is the best experience I have. Room is clean and has no AC.  Breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese course and I love them.  About Onsen, it might not be in the best condition but it is good enough.  If I have a chance to return to Nikko, I will stay at this place again.

Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise). This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn). We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!

What an amazing place to stay - Kas and his wife made us extremely welcome and provided excellent restaurant recommendations as well as places to visit. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent (with juice, yogurt, ham and omelette and fruit, plus toast and tea/coffee). The bedrooms are large and the bed are comfy. The shower was also super clean. It is uphill from Nikko Tobu station but you can easily get a taxi from the station for 1,000/1,100 (£5/6) which saves carrying the luggage. Short walk to Kirifuri waterfall which is beautiful and if you’re lucky you’ll get to see the monkeys along the way. I couldn’t recommend more highly and look forward to coming back in the future!

Es handelt sich um eine typische Pension, erwarten Sie also keine Luxusausstattung. Die Lage ist hervorragend, direkt am See. Die japanischen Tatami-Matten mit Matratzen bieten Platz für drei Personen. Es gibt Gemeinschaftstoiletten und -bäder. Die Pension wird von einem älteren Ehepaar geführt. Die Zimmer sind nicht klimatisiert, aber im August liegen die Temperaturen bei etwa 18 Grad Celsius, sodass eine Klimaanlage nicht nötig ist. Ich empfehle, hier für 2500 Yen pro Person zu Abend zu essen; das Ehepaar kocht japanisches Essen, das reichhaltig und preiswert ist. Etwa 5-6 Gehminuten von der Pension entfernt befindet sich ein Waschsalon mit Selbstbedienung; Waschen und Trocknen mit der Waschmaschine der Größe S kostet 700 Yen (der Waschsalon befindet sich hinter dem Hana-an Hotel an der T-Kreuzung).

This hotel was in a very beautiful, peaceful location. The room was very large with a shower room separate from the toilet. There were a couple of parking spaces, I would recommend driving as the stores are a bit farther away from this hotel

Alles war großartig! Wir lebten hier drei Tage im April 2024. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr schmackvoll und groß, so wollten wir nicht einmal beim Spaziergang am Nachmittag Mittagessen. Das Zimmer ist sauber und sauber. Der Ort ist ruhig und schön. In der Nähe eines großen Supermarktes mit allem, was notwendig ist. Der Bus zum Wasserfall und zum See ist auch sehr nah. Auch in der Nähe ist ein öffentlicher Arsch, es gibt auch eine gute Ruhe. Generell gefällt uns alles sehr! Danke!
